Sorry princess, I'm no longer developing this mod. So there will be no changes to the armor design (and the "proper" version will not be uploaded to the workshop).
Correspondence of the Stars 19 Jun, 2015 @ 2:18pm
and also try to get the nexus version uploaded as soon as steam allows
Correspondence of the Stars 19 Jun, 2015 @ 2:15pm
might i suggest keeping the dwemer style, but give it a more... light armor-like look?
Something this light armor better, while also looking like something that would make up the armor for dwemer defense systems.
...and make a version of this and/or regular dwemer armor so I look like I'm ONLY a big hunk of machinery.
...and mabey some more original desines... if you get around to it.

oh and it would be great if you could put it here on steam, im too stupid for installing nexus mods XD
Blacklabel 4/20 10 Aug, 2014 @ 3:39am
hey man, cool mod, i love the dwemer armor XD but could you fullfill me a little wish? a very simple request, a light dwemer armor without these giant shoulderpads, that would be cool. could you do that for me? you're awesome!
[MPR]Chain  [author] 3 Mar, 2014 @ 12:43pm
The armor is available on this steam download. If you want an update with some tweaks, a much larger and more interesting dungeon as well as weapons and ore, get the nexus version.
bubba de97 2 Mar, 2014 @ 8:20pm
is the dwarven power armor available on steam or do i need to use nexus?
YourLittleMindhive 25 Oct, 2013 @ 9:34am
Thanks
[MPR]Chain  [author] 25 Oct, 2013 @ 8:29am
There's no heavy version (but you can change it in the editor if you want). You could also download just the dwarven armor retexture version to just change the appearance of dwarven (for the better imo.). :)

The arrows are quite powerful, and once you have used them they are gone. They are a very rare item. Ps: You can get a bunch of them on the shelf next to the lava (don't knock them down!)...

The obsidian ore vein is in the mine. Large open room with a rock with black veins in the middle of the room.
YourLittleMindhive 25 Oct, 2013 @ 7:36am
Srry to bug again but on the nexus can you make a heavy armor version?
YourLittleMindhive 25 Oct, 2013 @ 7:09am
How to you get more arrows? Is it once you use then there gone?
YourLittleMindhive 25 Oct, 2013 @ 7:08am
Ok I was using the nexus version. I can't seem to find the obsidian though :(
[MPR]Chain  [author] 24 Oct, 2013 @ 10:11pm
No, sorry. The method for creating this armor was lost with the Dwemer. ;)
But if you download the Nexus version with the larger dungeon + weapons, you get to mine more obsidian for improving it.

But feel free to add this feature yourself using the editor.
YourLittleMindhive 24 Oct, 2013 @ 9:26pm
Can you make it craftable after the quest is complete?
[MPR]Chain  [author] 23 Jul, 2013 @ 1:28am
Kratos: In the latest version with the large dungeon and weapons there is also an obsidian vein that can be mined. :)

On the Nexus (or my direct download link) there is no subscription. You simply download it (zip file), and extract it to your data folder. To uninstall, just delete the files.
Bromora 22 Jul, 2013 @ 3:39pm
shame that bug stoped the version with weapons I doent know how to subscribe a mod from nexus but I realy likehow there are two beds so you can live in there if you want but I think there should be veins for the obsidian so there is more ways to get the ingots so then you can forge the armor and give the other set to your follower
[MPR]Chain  [author] 28 Apr, 2013 @ 2:24am
I do not remember. You will have to test it (or open up the files with the editor).
Sir Nukesalot 27 Apr, 2013 @ 1:00am
does this armor benefit from the ancient knowledge perk?
Willis 26 Apr, 2013 @ 8:08pm
y dose this not have 5 stars this looks epic as hell
[MPR]Chain  [author] 20 Jan, 2013 @ 1:44am
I kind of just moved on from Skyrim to other games unfortunately. But I'm really happy how this dungeon and armor turned out (the final version on Nexus that is).
Stealth Bison 19 Jan, 2013 @ 9:10am
Thanks for your help! Seems really interesting, and if there is scripting involved it just might help me with what I'm learning in programming. So this might actually be really good for me to get into lol. Did you just decide to not make anything anymore or are you working on something big for the future?

Again thanks for your help I'll be looking into it when I have some time
[MPR]Chain  [author] 19 Jan, 2013 @ 3:22am
The good thing is, that if you intend to just change some stats on my armor, then you just have to find the objects making up my armor pieces in there, open them up, and edit the existing stats. A lot easier than actually making things from scratch.

I'm sorry I can't give more precise instructions. It has been a year since I made this mod and I've never made anything before or since (and I don't have Creation Kit installed any more). :)
It's very satisfying to make things yourself I think.

Ps: Making decent questlines can be hard and require some minor scripting. I recommend starting by just making some tiny outdoor or indoor area with some enemies and loot (see tutorials), then moving on to creating your own customized items.
[MPR]Chain  [author] 19 Jan, 2013 @ 3:22am
I haven't used it in a while, but I recommend you unsubscribe here and download the newest version of this mod from the Skyrim Nexus (it is better than my version here on steam - with larger dungeon and matching weapons). That way it won't use Steam to maintain itself so you can feel safe that nothing you do will be overwritten.

Then simply open the files in the Creation Kit (found in your Steam Library if you choose to view "Tools" (instead of "All Games"). I remembered the name wrong when I said "construction kit". I recommend you follow a few basic video tutorials as it will be confusing at first (you can't really jump right in).
Stealth Bison 18 Jan, 2013 @ 5:50pm
Thanks for the quick response. Yeah It was just a curiosity I had a feeling it was something like that. Uhm I have never used the construction kit, but now you have my curiosity. So I just download via subscribe and then I can change it with the construction kit? Will the stats remain the same or would I have to/need to change that or how would that work? Thanks for your quick response, and again a wonderful mod. Do you plan on making more armor or possibly weapon mods in the future? Or what is your current goal?
[MPR]Chain  [author] 18 Jan, 2013 @ 4:30pm
AerykGunn: You are free to download it, and simply change the armor to Heavy with the Construction Kit (fairly easy). Unfortunately I never got around to make such a version myself.

Another option is to just download the texture replacement version from Nexus (it will simply replace the texture of the regular Dwemer armor, so no new stats).

Ps: I made it light to make a Dwemer option for people who don't use heavy armor. Obsidian (volcanic glass) and Malachite ("glass") are similar so I felt it would fit. The Dwemer were probably making this light armor for special operations or for expanding into the Black Marsh (where heavy armor more easily becomes a deathtrap). Either way they were keeping it a secret during development, but unfortunately they disappeared right after the first prototype was complete.
Stealth Bison 18 Jan, 2013 @ 2:02am
I'm sorry if someone else has already asked, but why is it light armor instead of heavy? I mean I am all for having light armor, but is there a chance there will be a heavy armor version in the future? Just curious. looks great either way but my "Dwemer Researcher" is going to be wearing the in-game heavy armor for a while and I thought this would be a good "upgrade" after a while, but it's light sadly T-T anyways, awesome mod!
Emerald Demond 27 Nov, 2012 @ 4:59pm
Thank you very much, it is very appreciated; I'll be sure to do justice for your textures, and as for taking credit for them, I would never dream of it...
[MPR]Chain  [author] 27 Nov, 2012 @ 10:30am
Emerald Demond: I'd be honored. As long as you don't take credit for the textures, go ahead and use them as much as you want in your mods! :)
Emerald Demond 26 Nov, 2012 @ 8:26pm
I am curious to ask, I'm making a Dwemer-based quest mod, and I was wondering if I could possibly use your textures from this mod in my own? I will give credit for your work, naturally...
[MPR]Chain  [author] 14 Nov, 2012 @ 10:18am
I did not know of that limit. I found no information about that when I was doing this, and no error message to say why it failed. If that's the reason, then it's a real shame, but the full mod is only 75MB on nexus (however, it is zipped)... Too late now tho, as I don't have the software installed any more :)

Thunderchief 13 Nov, 2012 @ 7:21pm
Just had a thought. This mod on steam is 48.6MB without the weapons. It seems likely that the version with the weapons is over the 100MB limit. Perhaps you can upload in 2 seperate mods with the other containing the weapons textures?
Thunderchief 13 Nov, 2012 @ 7:04pm
I like it. Your textures are what the dwarven set should have looked like. Nice job with the mud splatter on the boots. If you create a new mod on steam that replaces the existing textures with these I will rate and subscribe.
skatimmy737 27 Oct, 2012 @ 5:26pm
your description is a little vague, that's why
[MPR]Chain  [author] 14 Oct, 2012 @ 5:49am
Harry: Please read the whole desctiprion. It has direct links do the files (outside of Nexus).

How come the answer to 90% of the comments I get already is in the description? -.-
Harry Schnodder 30 Sep, 2012 @ 10:33am
can i found it on another website not on nexus?
[MPR]Chain  [author] 29 Sep, 2012 @ 12:35pm
15th_YR_Pvt3_Harry Schnodder & [WCOD]Phoe~nixz : Please read the whole description;

To get the larger dungeon and the weapons you have to get the version hosted on the Skyrim Nexus (or from the mirror if you don't feel like signing up). This is because the toolkit would not allow me to update the Steam version any more (some unspecified error).
Harry Schnodder 28 Sep, 2012 @ 4:58am
? i cannot find weapons in description
i dont download anything
MTK 22 Sep, 2012 @ 11:18am
Where are the weapons ?

Cool mod Btw
Harry Schnodder 21 Sep, 2012 @ 6:56am
where are the weapons???
[MPR]Chain  [author] 15 Sep, 2012 @ 3:18pm
Yellow3696: I'm not sure what it is you cannot find (in your first comment). The journal page in Markarth? The cave? The armor?

When you say "everything is empty", do you mean that when you get to the location of the cave, the cave itself is missing? Or by "empty" do you mean that there is nothing inside the cave? Or do you mean that the table in Markarth where the journal page should be is empty (no journal page)?

It's easier to help if you are a bit more specific with your description... :)
Emperor Zurg 15 Sep, 2012 @ 5:03am
when I go threre everything is empty
[MPR]Chain  [author] 14 Sep, 2012 @ 3:29pm
If you can't find it, type "coc LostForgeExterior" in console to teleport to the location of the cave...
Emperor Zurg 12 Sep, 2012 @ 8:35am
were is it it I can't find it anywere
Rick Grimes 7 Sep, 2012 @ 6:26pm
and the dwarven spear, which is seen in the mounted cross bows and in the mammoth frozen in ice outside of alftand. would be a cool addition, the best part well ive never seen any other mod add this simple and well known prop as a weapon
Rick Grimes 7 Sep, 2012 @ 6:22pm
there orta be more than one set, but that dont mean it should be easy to obtain. each dwemer ruin that connects to blackreach has some sorta gatehouse with a gate system that requires the player to manuver through the entire ruin, and the requires the attunement sphere. a set of this armor should be placed in each gatehouse. and i agree with celtic warrior it looks like heavy armor, and the regular dwemer armor is heavy, so... but great mod!!
Eidolon 4 Sep, 2012 @ 2:06pm
Make a heavy armour version please?
[MPR]Chain  [author] 27 Jul, 2012 @ 11:05am
The latest version is not on Steam because the program is/was bugged and wouldn't let me upload it (you have to use the automatic update through the tool - no manual upload). Otherwise it would be the same version. Bug might be fixed by now, but I have reinstalled my computer and don't even have skyrim installed any more...

If you don't like the Nexus, here are mirrors for the latest versions:
Texture replacement only: Download [www.rognemedia.no]
Full mod: Download [www.rognemedia.no]
(Just unzip to your data directory. Delete files to uninstall.)
TOP AIMER IN THE WORLD 26 Jul, 2012 @ 4:56pm
nexus sucks, i hate there webpage setup.....steam seems so much easier and visually better.
