Sometimes, when you limit the AI to one unit, the AI will not choose it and the scenario will not work. This was happening with all Ogres; I am not sure if it has been fixed though, I will have to try it out on something I am working on......

Being a noob, I was hoping for an option where the designer - or the player - could choose the AI's units. This is because in my scenarios, the AI is making dumb choices - like all heavy tanks. Of course, I could limit the AI to one type of unit, but that would be extremely boring. So I am hoping the devs see fit to tweak the AI's logic and make this a true scenario editor like the ones found in many of Matrix games, et al. Anyway, nice stuff considering the current limitations.

Thank You. In creating these scenarios, I do not choose which side will be AI; that choice is made by the person playing the scenario. The only thing I am able to do is set the units to be used, and also the total point value for Infantry and Armor. The person playing decides how to spend the Infantry and Armor points on the units that I have available to play in that particular scenario. I suppose that if I wanted to have a particular side be the AI; I could state that in the openning description, but right now it is the player that has full control of who the AI will be.

Okay, I thought I was the only one having problems with the scenario editor. I have confidence SJG will not abandon their "star" game and we will get full freedom in editing as soon as they can do it. It would be great if we could choose the AI's units - just for scenario making - but we will see. Greatly appreciate your scenarios and others. This is what will make this game really shine.

This map is much smaller than I first had, but that first map was 40 x 40 and would not even load. This size seems to work just fine. The AI, as usual, does not want to choose the Ogre or any Marines.....seems it would rather spend the Infantry points on regular Infantry, and the Armor points on other pieces......strange??? The GEV's and the Ogre really shine in this one......lot of fun blowing up rail and road sections. The AI plays pretty well in my testing.....that is why I set my victory conditions on the low side; so that AI vs AI can play against each other without getting hung up. As usual, your comments are welcome......

Be Seeing You......
