@Joe There's non-workshop version that is "more" stable and takes less effort to work. {LINK REMOVED}

I need a full walkthrough over this. This is all way over my head. and it would take weeks or more to do this with no help. Please help me with this.

Thanks for deleting it. : )

don't worry I can delete comments if I feel they're not reasonable anymore.
The screen never stretches or acts weird for me, neither on desktop nor in game.

Also, I apologize for my behavior at the beginning, saying "DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS IT WILL MESS UP YOUR PC". I feel embarrased. ._.
bricks 26 Jan, 2013 @ 3:47pm
So, it's okay if the screen stretches like that?
Urik  [author] 26 Jan, 2013 @ 3:44pm
Sorry, no plans on video for this. I hope it isn't too complicated without videos.
You did everything right, but for some people that happens.
You're the second I hear form about that.
Valve is aware of that, they will fix it hopefully soon so that it would load ok.
Well, maybe not totally because of how workshop works and delays addons initialization, but at least ui_reloadscheme probably will be fixed to reload font schemes like it should.

And I really, REALLY like this add-on. It makes my game more enjoyable. Sorta like the L4D Beta Mods!

And could you add a video tutorial? It's okay if you don't have mic, just use notepad. : )

Also, just a recommendation, tell people who install this mod that it may enlarge and stretch your Desktop from 5-15 seconds. :P
bricks 26 Jan, 2013 @ 3:33pm
Also, By enlarge I meant stretch out and get bigger, then it would go away. But it lasts about 5-15 seconds.

Yes you did all correct. If you entered command name wrong, it just wouldn't execute so that ain't a problem. You can change the name of it (after "alias") to whatever you want.

Woops, I meant to type in my resolution, I did in the config file, but not on that comment. :P
bricks 26 Jan, 2013 @ 3:27pm
Hmm, Well. I think I might've followed your instructions wrong. I didn't have autoexec.cfg so I made one, changed the file extention to .cfg, and typed in "alias reloadfont "mat_setvideomode 1920 1080 1; mat_setvideomode 1920 1080 0" ". So, was that wrong? Also, I think when I typed reloadfont, I put "reload font" :P.
Urik  [author] 26 Jan, 2013 @ 3:24pm
Graphics card. Though that shouldn't matter.
I'm also on Windows 7. I had a similar comment before on other site, about trouble with mat_setvideomoe, but I don't know what can cause it.
Doesn't happen to me whatever resolution I run it, it just either stretches it or defaults to monitor resolution, but doesn't affect the desktop.
bricks 26 Jan, 2013 @ 3:19pm
What is gfx (I'm not that great with computers, I'm a simple coder.) But my OS is Windows 7. (Sorry if I am not putting my words right or incorrect grammar. I'm a little young. :P )
Urik  [author] 26 Jan, 2013 @ 3:17pm
You did everything right...
Can't see what can be wrong.. what gfx and OS? Maybe that has something to do with it.
bricks 26 Jan, 2013 @ 3:15pm
Everytime I try it does that. My game resolution is 1024x768, so I typed in 1024 768. did i do something wrong?
Urik  [author] 26 Jan, 2013 @ 3:14pm
Hm, you're actually not the first experiencing some problem with that.
Maybe it somehow depends on hardware..
You sure you don't exceed your maximum resolution in that command?
Is it totally fixed now, or you are still experiencing troubles?
bricks 26 Jan, 2013 @ 3:11pm
It enlarged, by the way
It scared me a little. .-.
bricks 26 Jan, 2013 @ 3:11pm
Then what about my screen? Is it supposed to do that?
Urik  [author] 26 Jan, 2013 @ 3:10pm
Yes you need to enter the resolution of L4D2 you ply in.
You can expect it to be fixed by Valve at some point, so there would be no need for this workaround anymore.
bricks 26 Jan, 2013 @ 2:58pm
Oh, nevermind, you can trust it. it's safe, just my screen went crazy after I did it.
bricks 26 Jan, 2013 @ 2:58pm
Wait, in the instructions, did you mean the resolution of my L4D2 or the resolution of my computer?
