I don't have FU, and the fix still doesn't work.

It looks like Frackin' Universe is the problem.

It should add it to the engineering table, but it's currently broken without any easy way to fix. Believe me, this is far from my only Starbound mod and I didn't miss anything as simple as "learnBlueprintsOnPickup"; the game just really doesn't like my patch for some reason (even after I temporarily got it working by overwriting the bad files instead of patching them, since the patches didn't work properly).

Honestly, it would probably take hours of testing and going through the original mod's files trying to find another fix and I just don't have that time so it's unlikely that I'll ever get it working again. I'd just recommend unpacking both this mod and the original, copying my files into the appropriate folders, and then running the mod manually. That seems to be a solution that works for people.

Should this add the "synthesis table" to the engineer station ?
Well, it adds the table to the engineer station, but you must use admin mode to craft it, as the blueprint isn't visible when you're not in admin mode.
Maybe you (or the original author) forgot to add a "learnBlueprintsOnPickup" directive, so that we could get the craft when we pick-up one of the components ?
In that case, could you please add it ?

Uuugh, I really don't understand why this workstation is so annoying... :angry_creep: I'll add it to my list of things to do.
McKaby 31 Dec, 2018 @ 12:35am
Yup, I had to manually spawn it in and it worked fine after that.
Cthonyxa  [author] 30 Dec, 2018 @ 8:37pm
@admbraden You're sure you're looking for it on a workstation updgraded to the Engineering Table? (I reaaaaaally hope that's what's wrong because if something else is breaking it I honestly don't know if I could fix it without putting the entire mod into this one and... I really don't want to do that.)
McKaby 30 Dec, 2018 @ 6:56am
I hate to bear bad news, but I can't find it anymore, and I do have a few mods that add new stuff to the Inventors Table.

I also have Many Tabs, but I am not sure if it's an update to that which has broken this.
Cthonyxa  [author] 30 Apr, 2018 @ 4:58am
I took the same tactic as Nefer Nightbug and replaced the file instead of patching it. It seems to be working now? If people still find it's not working for them, please try to let me know what mods might be causing the issue.
Cthonyxa  [author] 29 Apr, 2018 @ 3:17am
@Alb Thanks for the heads up, that is super helpful! When I get some time I'll look into the mod and see if there's anything I can do from my end to fix the compatibility issue.

This mod seems to be what's causing the crafting table to not show up. Hope this helps.
Cthonyxa  [author] 2 Apr, 2018 @ 3:18am
@Nefer Nightbug Yeah, it's frustrating because there's no reason for it not to work. If I can pinpoint which mod(s) are causing it to not work maybe I can figure out what I can do to fix it. Once I have the time/energy to go back to testing it I'll try to get it working again.
Star Baker 1 Apr, 2018 @ 1:05pm
@Miss Andri Oh, okay. Well, strangely, the fix didn't work for me, but when I unpacked the base mod and appended what I did, it suddenly started working again. Granted, I've got a much smaller collection of mods, but that's still an option.
Cthonyxa  [author] 1 Apr, 2018 @ 6:28am
@Nefer Nightbug That is literally THE ONLY THING my mod does (maybe next time take the time to check the contents of the mod before telling me that I need to do the thing that I was already doing?). The only content of this mod is "\recipes\objects\crafting\seedercraftingstation.recipe.patch" which has the contents:
[
{"op": "replace", "path": "/groups", "value": [ "inventorstable2", "craftingstations", "all" ]}
]

The crafting station shows up in my test world (ie. only Ground Seeders mods) and FU (+ Ground Seeders) test worlds, but not in my normal game (ie. a crapton of mods). I don't know WHY or WHAT mod is causing an incompatibility, but there obviously is one and it's one that a fair amount of people seem to be using. I was working on testing it with various mods trying to find which one(s) were causing the issue, but I've been busy and, like I said, there is a crapton of mods I have to go through so it's likely going to be a while until I figure out what the problem is.
Star Baker 31 Mar, 2018 @ 7:13am
NOTICE: yep, I was right. \recipes\objects\crafting\seedercraftingstation.recipe needs "groups" : [ "inventorstable2", "craftingstations", "all" ] for it to work. There is no mod compatibility.
Star Baker 31 Mar, 2018 @ 7:03am
@VictorianGaming: try /spawnitem seedercraftingstation or /spawnitem seederbuilder
@Miss Andri: Have you tried appending [ ..., "craftingstations", "all" ] to "groups"? I cross-checked this against the raws on the Capture Station and found some missing tags.
VicTheNagon 11 Feb, 2018 @ 2:25am
@Miss Andi, thanks? No really, I wasnt intending for you to fix it, but go ahead if you find it weird. So, thanks in advance if you find the problem.
Cthonyxa  [author] 10 Feb, 2018 @ 9:57pm
@VictorianGaming My apologies; I did some testing and it looks like there is some sort of mod conflict going on. I haven't been able to pinpoint what's breaking it (the logs are not helpful at all) but when I do I'll push an update.
VicTheNagon 10 Feb, 2018 @ 6:22am
@Miss_Andri I dont want to sound mean but,.. Why do you think I coment,... No, Ofc I did upgrade them, all of them, new character old and so on,.. With admin without admin, The thing just wont show up, I need to use admin spawn item comand. If you dont know a blueprint using admin forses the game to show all the things you can make. It wont show up. I have ton's of mods and this is the firt time a Crafting station even with the unoficial fix does not show up using admin mode. And I understand you did a 1.3.3 fix. I am babing on and on, the deal is, acording to the game, the item isnt even asosiated with the Engineering or Architect's Table. And I am not dirty to spawn the item in and just trow away the crafting ingredients. the mod works fine for the rest.
Cthonyxa  [author] 10 Feb, 2018 @ 2:52am
@VictorianGaming Have you upgraded your Inventor's table? The blueprint is only available on the Engineering Table and above.
VicTheNagon 9 Feb, 2018 @ 2:33am
Thanks for the fix? Does this only work on new characters because this still wont help it show up. Even spawning the blueprint the game say's I already know it. I can spawn it using admin, so It isnt a ID overide (that not posible as far I know),.. Just wanted to put this here,.. Game does give me the spray unlock notifications (even without the fix),.. Edit: Just Checed using a new character, did nothing. So this does not fix it for me, sorry.

There shouldn't be any situation where Starbound doesn't generate a log file. In your game folder there should be a "storage" folder and in it a "starbound.log". Starbound updates this file every time you open it and will put errors in it, even when it fails to load up properly.

And no, there is no major incompatibility. I just patch the seeder crafting table file to properly follow Starbound's "groups" conventions.
pusswhackah! 30 Jan, 2018 @ 4:56am
it just closes the game without a crash log.
im sorry if im being annoying but does this mod have any major incompabilities?
Cthonyxa  [author] 30 Jan, 2018 @ 4:54am
You need Ground Seeders installed. Even with a crash during startup the log will have useful information, so if you copy that into a pastebin file and link me I'll look it over.
pusswhackah! 30 Jan, 2018 @ 4:47am
it makes starbound close without any warnings during the startup,is this a standalone mod or do you need ground seeders with it?(im subscribed to both atm)
pusswhackah! 30 Jan, 2018 @ 4:42am
i actually havent looked at the log but it only happened with this mod,i'll try again
Cthonyxa  [author] 30 Jan, 2018 @ 4:36am
@PUSSWHACKAH It shouldn't. Are you sure it's this mod causing the crash? If you put your crash log in a pastebin and give me a link I'll see if I can diagnose the problem.
pusswhackah! 30 Jan, 2018 @ 4:21am
this makes my starbound crash sadly

@✦ Officer Hotpants ✦ Yeah, the tutorials are not super user friendly (although they're better than when I first started modding). I mostly learned through looking at how other mods patched stuff and copying them, but I have a programming background so it's easier for me to understand what JSON is doing. In this case I just compared the crafting bench file to other files crafted at the Engineering Table and saw that it was missing a few tags, so I patched it to match and that fixed things.

I wouldn't say I "enjoy" patching thing so much as I patch things to make my game better lol :tgrin: Since I'm on another Starbound kick I've been updating mods and making new ones to improve my own playing experience.
💖 Officer Hotpants 💖 13 Dec, 2017 @ 3:51am
Simple is relative. I was never able to figure out how JSON patching works (partially because every so-called tutorial on the subject inexplicably assumed that I already knew how JSON worked). As such I couldn't fix a typo in this game if my life depended upon it, much less a blueprint entry.

You seem to enjoy patching mods and small oversights judging by how many times I've seen you in the workshop recently.
Cthonyxa  [author] 13 Dec, 2017 @ 1:52am
@✦ Officer Hotpants ✦ No worries! It's such a simple fix I dunno why no one else did it.
💖 Officer Hotpants 💖 11 Dec, 2017 @ 8:48pm
Ah! Thank you! I've resorted to adding it to my inventory via console command ever since it broke.
