Just FYI you need to update this ship. All the turrets are assembly blocks now and a few other small issues. You have to do quite a bit of editing to use this ship. Its also very under powered for thrust and other things. (especially when scaled larger) But other than that, great things.

Considering all the changes to the game in the last year, I really wish there was a way to mark updated ships.

New ships need (usually Iron) inertial dampeners, Cargo bays (Because all materials drop as scrap metal now) Turret hardpoints, Gyros, and even the heavily shielded ships need at least a thin coat of armor because of all the stuff that puts percentages through shields, academies, Torpedos, assemblies, warp cores, cpu's, and inside-hull empty space for things we all forget about :P.

And probably a dozen more things those of us that have played for years just don't think about when we make a ship.

At least now we don't have to 'guess' what the ship's handling characteristics will be when we have a crew anymore.

at the time i was finishing constellation ( which is technically not entirelly finished ) i was able to add up to 20 k blocks before any lag begin to become impairing enough ...but now its so much worst im not even able to connect two small constellation blocks together.

im working on a new modular set , similar to constellation , but would allow to swap hull sections so you can pick colors easily without coloring the entire boat in one color , therefore making anything that could look like my old shipline and new ones as well, unfortunately , in the current version of the game , copy-pasting blocks sections even ones with low block count cause massive fps drop , or lag , im currently running modules under 500 blocks each and some even around 200 and after connecting 3-4 of them its impossible to add more without a 5 min freeze :/

i dont know why people call them fake thrusters, there is really a small engine in there if i recall, personally i just add more torpedo storage in there, or cargo

a beauty, but i cursed at trying to rework those fake trusters into hangar bays, gave up and turned em into cargo again. added some hangar bays on the bottom and converted some cargo into assembly, and i had to place larger armor plates on the hardpoints, trin and up didnt want to fit properly. love the hull tho!

what i usually do is place a thin plate of docks/or armor block on top of a turret hardpoint and cover it

The ship looks quite impressive and beautiful, but it would be nice to put / replace the blocks on which the 1 / 1.5 / 2 turrets are placed and so on.

its been updated with 8 launchers and 113 storage, the launchers are located at the front just behind the bow , and are set for vertical launch , make sure the area above your ship is cleared before launching

i can't wait for the newest patch to hit the main branch. I want those torpedos so bad for this design. on a side note, i got those hangars to finally work! it fits exactly 2 squadrons of size one fighters :D took very minor editing. This ship is awesome. Just awesome.

Those fixed turret mounts on the sides were meant to be torpedo tubes? Because thats what i removed and replaced with the real torpedoes, and it looks pretty awesome when they are launched :D

guess il have a lot of work then!, as for fighters, this ship isnt designed for them, if you want some add them but the original will stay a pure gunboat, however i might make a new carrier to fit this one, something akin to the ocelot , i recently found an design that i think will fit well...also with torpedoes out il release bomber frigs for both kosenekos and lonetar too, i seriously cant wait for torpedoes , i tried using rocket launchers initially but they mostly explode prematurly if im moving while firing, seems that the only successful rocket ship i ever made was the marshall .

they are on the beta branch, should be getting implemented on the main game soon :D
if the escape pods are removed and cleared all the way to the other side, maybe an ok sized hangar could fit in there. Don't know how many figthers it would fit, but even a couple squadrons could make a world of difference.

ah i see what you mean, but no they arent supposed to be fake engines, they were actually the escape pod tubes ....that mean now when your ship go poof all your crew is condemned to sit there and die painfully...good job you monster :P

joking aside , the torpedo launch tubes are actually at the front though since i havent played in a while i havent checked if the torpedoes are a thing now or not

i started removing those (i thought they were supposed to be torpedo tubes) under the bridge tower but got a little skittish when one of the blocks was one of the few integrity field blocks on the ship, and just re loaded to before i started gutting that area. might take another shot at it if i can find a good place to relocate that integrity block.

I deleted the fake engines on the side, below the bridge tower; that place looks perfect for a hangar. You lose some crew quarters and power blocks inside, but a hangar that goes all the way through from left to right allows for 5-6 fighter squadrons, which is enough for my needs.
And it looks really nice too.

i might try to open the area that has the cargo holds under the side engines on the sides and add the hangars that way. i feel i might butcher it, but i really like this guy, but i do want to carry some attack fighters on it. i'm using a couple haibu as support carriers for salvage and mining. I do like the idea of a gun boat with 5ish squadrons of nasty attack fighters.

look at the judge and haibu, both are small carriers with multiples hangars for fast deployment and retrivial,the judge is bigger and support turret anchor blocks for railguns while the haibu is extremely compact and quick

i understand that. i'm currently shoping around for guns for it :D i'd love to see something like this weapons platform with something like ~60 hangar spaces for some attack fighters. Me and some buddies are doing an alliance playthrough and we're using a bunch of your designs. Your ships look great.

i actually gave up the hangar thing, the ship perform so well as a pure gun platform that now im scratching my head on a bigger design with better weapon coverage because my end game version of the ship ended up with the main deck completely covered with guns haha :D

it get a lot less nimble once you swap the hull to ogonite tho
