That's fair.
I recently discovered that the Crafting Overhaul adds recipes for medium/large potions that don't need multiple bottles, so it isn't a major loss.
Outputting multiple bottles per consumed item I think would get some complaints, and many would think it's a bug (I rather avoid that route)
I decided to see if I could find a workaround for it, but there doesn't seem to be an event available to modders for catching a general 'consume' event, or a general 'item used'. There is 'CharacterUsedItem' and 'CharacterConsume' event, but both rely on a character consuming an item and doesn't link to the crafting. I don't see any item crafting events either. There is an 'ItemDestroyed' event, but that may be called in other cases where items are destroyed and not necessarily consumed or used. So I guess there's no way to know what items were actually consumed during crafting and whether those items were successful in creating something.
It wouldn't be as realistic, but it would keep the bottles from disappearing into the aether.
I'm not sure what happens for crafting/combining. It listens for the event "CharacterUsedItem", so it's unlikely to work with crafting.
No, you have to EAT THE GLASS BOTTLE as part of the potion. Doesn'theal you otherwise.
I finally got it to work by the way, by disabling the mod, loading the game, saving the game, then enabling the mod again.
So if anyone else got this problem, try this solution.
Thanks for the reply btw, SimranZenov
I wonder if it's because I had changed the mod name. That's the only thing I can think of that might have caused an issue. I'll have to be careful not to do that again :/
Made a new game on another profile, and started re-enabling mods to find out which causes the problem, starting from only this mod. Apparently, it doesn't conflicts with any of the other mod. I enabled all the mods, and it still works fine.
However, once i got back to my main profile, unabled all of the mods, except for this one, and checked it, it doesn't work.
I guess the cause would be the save file? Dunno how it happened, since i distinctly remember it working the first time around, before the update, and now it's not.
Maybe you can try deleting the mod completely from Documents\Larian Studios\Divinity Original Sin 2\Mods then try re-subbing to download again. Maybe the file is corrupt somehow.
I'm not really sure why it wouldn't be compatible with all mods since it doesn't modify or override anything :/
Gonna try experimenting some more with the load order. If only the load time wouldn't be abnormally long i would check it one by one
nope, it should appear on the list
Yep. It should include all poison potions, as well as posioned drinks
The load order shouldn't matter. It has its own global script which is the entire mod. There shouldn't be any conflicts with other mods. I would assume if it wasn't working I would have heard more complaints.
My only guess would be maybe another mod isn't compiling and is causing all the mods loaded afterward to not get loaded.
If you start a new game with just this mod enabled does it work? or place it first in your load order?
