Would it be possible to have this mod overwrite the 1.6 shapes? this is honestly still better since it allows you to do more things but when I enable it, it conflicts with vanilla.

Kinda, I can select any shape, but it doesn't matter. It's always hollow box.

@IceMaverick Same here. I noticed that for me, at least, it's only happening on gravships and it worked fine on land.

Since we're all doing a bit of 1.6 debugging on our modlists, I'll chuck out this inquiry: Has anybody else encountered their game only letting them draw hollow-boxes and the UI from this mod not appearing?

A tighter integration is planned so you can choose which shapes appear in the main designator panel. I can also hide the when the shapes panel is displayed.

I could have sworn there was a mod for this. If it is possible, could you auto hide the ingame designator if designator shapes is in? I am pretty certain I can make a mod to do that, but one incorporated in to this mod would be better or people. If not, no worries. I will see how much it bugs me, and if it is enough, I will just make something.

Do you think it would be possible to integrate this mod into the UI of the vanilla (1.6) 'designators' or is this exactly what you intend to do when you write, 'There is wonkiness to sort out still and better integration to implement'?

hey, thanks for the update and years of service. i've just added this back in for 1.6, but when i draw a shape it only shows me the length of one side (the longest) but no other. is this perhaps a mod conflict? i'm not getting the vanilla shape options so unsure if that's causing a conflict with this mod

I've made an adjustment to the default behavior. Shape rotation is now DISABLED by default. If you want the rotated shapes back, you will need to go in to mod settings to enable it. Default keys are now [ for left and ] for right.

This should help make things work better. I think shape rotation wasn't too popular anyway, but for those who used it it's still there. And now Q and E won't steal things by default.

Even with Q and E rotations, it can only draw squares and diamonds, and we love this mod because it draws perfect circles.

Select the designator shape "line" to use Q and E to rotate anything until this mod is fixed.

You can rebind the rotation keys in the mod settings to something other than Q/E, such as 8/9, to get things working.

@Exos Fara I prefer the way circle placement works in this mod rather than the new shapes in the 1.6 Beta.

@Nam 1.6 disables rotation for furniture with Designator Shapes active.

circles arent perfect is the only other issue ive found with it
