Your mod is interesting, but I noticed one peculiarity in it: traffic constantly tries to cut off my car and causes damage, while it itself continues moving, as if nothing had happened.

OK, there is a similar question in the Comments in 2022 from Cipho to which you replied which covers this. I don't need to rename the traffic_storage_truck.jazzycat_truck.sii file inside the Truck Traffic pack, so I should be good to go. I'm not using the dedicated BDF traffic pack mod right now by the way, though maybe I'll see how it goes with the general truck one

the guide mentions in what should be renamed. do not forget to switch back into original name in case at some point you play without Real Traffic Density

Thanks Cipus. I'm not clear on what the renaming rules are. If I have to rename the traffic_storage_truck.jazzycat_truck.sii file in the Truck Traffic mod, what do I rename it to?

renaming some Ai packs (for bdf pack only the normal truck file indeed), helps creating more types of vehicles which are included in RTD and have their own spawn rules while the pack itself keeps the country spawn rules. of course all Ai packs work also if are not renamed, but as the default types (car, truck, bus, police, etc) so their spawn in the game depends also on how many other packs are used (having also 2 large semi truck packs you will see very rarely bdf trucks, while having no other Ai truck packs, you might see too many bdf trucks)

Hi Cipus. Firstly thanks for the terrific mod. Having run for a while with the SCS traffic, the AI and repetative nature of the traffic is bothering me, which did actually come as a surprise to me.
So I'm trying to rename the Sii files correctly within various traffic packs as per the guide, and I think I'm OK except for Jazzycat's "Truck Traffic Pack by Jazzycat", which contains 4 traffic_storage_<>.jazzycat_truck.sii files, where <> is fire, trailer_truck, truck_custom and truck.
I assume only the "truck" one needs renaming, if at all? If so, to what?
The guide doesn't state why the files need renaming. I assume its to make the naming convention match your own in this RTD mod? Are there rules to follow, or something within your mod I could see to understand this better?

cannot have anything to do with a crash in UK, maybe use the recommenden mm_pool_size in launch options, although this should be not necessary if no traffic packs are enabled

@awghost25: there si nothing we can do. if you are stuck in traffic just enter g_traffic 0 to clear traffic, then immediately add back g_traffic 1 and keep driving

I've recently noticed that there are certain points on the map that are quite small, and because of this, the mod creates unnecessary traffic jams. Since the AI ​​respects stop and yield signs, it's unable to move forward because there are constantly cars passing by, and this tends to be horrible in small areas. This happens especially on the islands near Italy. Please check if there's anything you can do, such as adjusting those areas for greater comfort.

Either somethings wrong with my computer or a mod conflict, but when I use this mod and drives around in Germany the game crashes. It is most likely a mod conflict because the game does not crash on every driver with this mod and Germany, is there a known mod conflict? I play on ETS2 1.54+

Hello author, I have noticed that this mod conflicts with ai_traffic_pack_by_Jazzycat_v21.8.6.scs, causing the game to crash when driving on certain roads in Rostock.

Thanks for the mod! I am using it with "0.5" traffic parameter in config file, due to FPS drops appearing when leaving it at "1". Am I missing anything (besides having less traffic)?

@Hisfy, the game is not meant to support high traffic density so use with some compromises that sometimes once in a while you get stuck in traffic or wait long at stop, or Ai car accidents. best is to clear traffic with g_traffic 0 command, then immediately put back g_traffic 1 and keep going.

Was a great mod at first, untill I waited indefinitely on a T-intersection to merge into a highway, twice during one 500-700km route. There's something going on, where trucks will probably wait untill the nightfall, when there's almost no cars on the highway, afraid to move (or won't move at all? I didn't wait that long). There also was one time when a long line formed not far from the exit of customs checkpoint. I passed it on oncoming lane, and it was a passenger car with it's hazard lights, bumped into another car, both just chilling there. Or is it just how AI is in this game?

only mm_pool_size working in the current game version and keep it, the other you can remove as are obsolete. it's about memory buffers, these are not needed as I understand is the way of packing the game files and mods has evolved and have smaller size now

g_traffic 1 is default, if never changed game files, nothing to do
sorry Kaldie but you still need to use the mm_pool_size value. place a gamelog maybe will tell something about the crash
