Will there be a 1.3 patch?
Kill7X 8 Sep, 2020 @ 5:30pm
Does it work on 1.2? A long time favorite of mine!
Public_Enema 5 Sep, 2020 @ 3:30am
I do know a lot of mods just work on 1.2 . Is this one of them or will it require an update?
Halfelfaedyn 12 Jun, 2020 @ 8:22pm
This is great. Been taming them a ton. I love them thx lol
Iopy 25 May, 2020 @ 7:06pm
@James76543, awesome, great work! Been keen to get this back on my mod list!
james76543  [author] 25 May, 2020 @ 4:52pm
Sorry for the delay, this is updated to 1.1, please let me know if you see any issues.
Halfelfaedyn 15 May, 2020 @ 1:58pm
I would love an update to 1.1. These are my favorite pack animals.
Camaleão 29 Mar, 2020 @ 12:09pm
1.1?
Slinger 18 Mar, 2020 @ 10:03am
+1 for 1.1.
Iopy 10 Mar, 2020 @ 2:14am
Any chance for 1.1 update?
Kill7X 8 Mar, 2020 @ 7:34pm
Yeah, does this still work?
ozma64 1 Mar, 2020 @ 2:34am
will there be a 1.1 update?
el.ron.mcbong 24 Feb, 2020 @ 3:40pm
Please update the big Brothers of Muffalos:steamhappy:
james76543  [author] 8 Dec, 2019 @ 7:27pm
I will look into it!
Kill7X 7 Dec, 2019 @ 8:31pm
Mods that add animals (and other things, like weapons) require a patch to work with CE because it makes fundamental changes to body parts.
james76543  [author] 3 Dec, 2019 @ 8:31pm
@Aggression Pays I'm not sure what would be incompatible between this mod and CE? I guess it makes things 'squishier' than normal and more vulnerable to fire?
Kill7X 19 Nov, 2019 @ 3:52pm
I'd love to see a CE patch or compatibility.
Cosmosyn 18 Aug, 2019 @ 1:12pm
Thanks man.
james76543  [author] 17 Aug, 2019 @ 8:51pm
@CosmicBluNebula I couldn't figure out how to load it directly in the Muffalant mod, but I did add a new mod for it: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1838114456 It gives you Muffalo genetic material when you process a Muffalant Corpse. I don't know why it's giving me an error when I put the patch file in the main mod, so I had to separate it out into a different mod :(
Cosmosyn 5 Aug, 2019 @ 5:04pm
Thanks for trying!
james76543  [author] 5 Aug, 2019 @ 4:25pm
@CosmicBluNebula it's harder than I expected, but I'm still looking into it
Cosmosyn 25 Jul, 2019 @ 9:48pm
Could you make it produce muffalo genetic material when used to make material then? Im guessing it would be a easy thing to do.
james76543  [author] 25 Jul, 2019 @ 5:52pm
@CosmicBluNebula no unfortunately - that mod is really cool but REALLY complex, so I haven't tried to integrate with it yet. It won't compete, you just don't have special hybrid animals involving the muffalant.
Cosmosyn 5 Jul, 2019 @ 10:34pm
Hey is there genetic rim compatibility?
james76543  [author] 25 May, 2019 @ 10:06am
@Klaus I don't have the time to build the graphics files for it (I suck at making those), but if you want to make the texture files I'll patch the functionality will that work?
Big Money 23 May, 2019 @ 10:27pm
can we get a patch for animal gear?
james76543  [author] 20 Jan, 2019 @ 5:53pm
@Limão in order to know what synthetic weave recipe to put muffalant wool as an option, I'll need a mod list if you can send me both a screenshot of the recipe you're having trouble with and your modlist.
Limão 13 Jan, 2019 @ 4:12pm
i using a lot of mods. specificaly, the muffalant, i using muffalant and the patch for a dog said
james76543  [author] 13 Jan, 2019 @ 10:13am
You mean the synthread? I probably just need to add a patch to whatever mod you are using that allows synthread to be made. What mod are you using?
Limão 9 Jan, 2019 @ 2:11am
man theres a sothing i need to tell you. the muffalant wool can't be use in the synthetic wave and another things looks like she dosen't exist. i can only use to make cloths. please see this.
kush1maru 2 Nov, 2018 @ 4:55pm
Thank you so much, can finally play this game again :) LOVEYOU!
jpinard 31 Oct, 2018 @ 2:28pm
Super - thanks!
james76543  [author] 31 Oct, 2018 @ 2:16pm
@jpinard I just saw that error pop up earlier too. Thanks for the heads up, and I just updated it to fix it. It was indeed a name change in the A Dog Said core files.
jpinard 31 Oct, 2018 @ 2:01pm
If you go to the A Dog Said mod they have a note about the change.
jpinard 31 Oct, 2018 @ 1:58pm
I'm getting an error now. It may be due to "A Dog Said" changing it's name a little. The error from my log is:

Could not load UnityEngine.Texture2D at Things/Item/BodyPart/AnimalBodyPart in any active mod or in base resources.
jpinard 29 Oct, 2018 @ 9:09pm
Excellent will do :)
james76543  [author] 29 Oct, 2018 @ 7:23pm
Sizes are a bit smaller now. Let me know what you think!
james76543  [author] 21 Oct, 2018 @ 8:00pm
Nope that's just a temporary copy I sent for you to check. I actually kind of like the slightly smaller size too, so I'm going to update it soon and see if anyone doesn't like it. Until then that dropbox link is just the copy of the mod if you wanted to manually install it.
jpinard 21 Oct, 2018 @ 7:49pm
Is the new size being pushed out via update, or is that the one from your dropbox?
jpinard 21 Oct, 2018 @ 7:48pm
That is perfect! :)
james76543  [author] 21 Oct, 2018 @ 7:30pm
At the new size they're about the same size as an elephant. On an ice map I use I typically see a muffalant herd, which is 2-4 muffalants, every 1 or 2 years. Is that size still too big?

jpinard 21 Oct, 2018 @ 9:44am
Oh wait, I do have 2 new animal mods in the game so that could me why I haven't seen a muffalent yet. They're winning the die roll for new stuff coming in.
jpinard 21 Oct, 2018 @ 9:43am
eco levels not evp. I cannot type!
jpinard 21 Oct, 2018 @ 9:42am
That map I was playing - yes it was so weird. I took a screenshot and my list of muffalents was 20+ muffalos and a couple rats. Everytime one herd would leave another would come in. Then in my current game I downed all the evp va;ues and was bummed to not see any yet so I may have gone too far.

At 3/4 size are they still bigger than muffalo's and elehpants?
Mortagon 21 Oct, 2018 @ 8:19am
That sounds fantastic, I would also like a decreased size version. Would you mind putting it on steam workshop though so I can sub to it?
james76543  [author] 20 Oct, 2018 @ 8:32pm
@jpinard they shouldn't be that common, which is weird! Way less common than muffalos except on ice sheets maybe. The ecoSystemWeight is the same as elephant, 2.0. As far as the size, I made this modification for you to reduce it to about 3/4 the normal size. The mod can replace the original Muffalant copy, so ignore the error you get when loading a save game for the first time:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/36t7xp9tmseiixj/PygmyMuffalant%20V1.0.zip?dl=0

let me know what you think.
jpinard 19 Oct, 2018 @ 10:56pm
oops, sorry for typos and bad grammar. i should spell check before I post!
jpinard 19 Oct, 2018 @ 10:55pm
Physical size. When they come into the base they take up so much room I can't see anything around them. Seems like they should only maybe be 20% biggere then Muffalo at most.

Don't get me wrong, they are gorgeous! just wanted to have them come into aline a bit more. Also, they are way too frequent. I would have expected them to have a eco number between the Muff's and Thrumbo but in my current Boreal map play they're displacing almost everything. They're the #1 most populace med/large creature by far.
james76543  [author] 19 Oct, 2018 @ 6:42pm
1.0 will be updated shortly, I tested it this week, made a couple bug fixes, but otherwise no issues. @jpinard what do you mean by too big? The physical size or the health?
