Crashes when digging up graves.....

sorry for the lack of response to your comments. I'm assuming this has to do with changes they made when they pushed out the quality of life update. I'll see if I can take a look at it but unfortunately this mod is very much not in active development and I can't make any guarantees. if anybody desires to look into it/modify it themselves I have absolutely no problem with that, my primary concern when it comes to modding is people enjoying my content.

Can confirm Midnight Wildlife crashes on Windows as the only mod loaded when sanity monsters are spawned. I tested with Wickerbottom.

After the April 2022 quality of life update, this mod crashes the game when sanity drops. Use Wigfrid and eat her meats when starting the game to confirm. If it doesn't crash for you, it might be because Im using a Mac and that might affect the mod too.

@jbecl2000zhdtc this mod is not compatible with hamlet and should be marked as not compatible when loading the mod.

what DLC are you using? the mod isn't updated to support anything beyond reign of giants or shipwrecked

My game crashes every time anything from this mod spawns. This is really unfortunate because this mod looks amazing! Can anyone help me fix my problem? I even tried loading up a new world with only this mod enabled and it still crashes.

i really do feel dumb, all i had to do was turn of the hamlet mod compatibility than poof owls out the ass, and it works i actually thinks that owls should be more rare,but i really dont know much on the sparrows so i could use help there but owls check moths check sparrows havent seen em so yeah it works now and beacause of me bieng dumb i wasted time sorry and i would like to know more on sparrows please.!

if it is sunset or night time, and you have a birdtrap with meat in it, they should catch just like normal birds.

is there a debug command i need to use to spawn the owl types?

is there any specific strats i need to use to find one do i need to go near the hoots?

no, it's reign of giants and shipwrecked only as of right now.

i can hear the hoots and flaps but only regular birds are landing in my traps, i try to set the traps up during sunset and sleep but they're not showing up

btw does the mod work in hamlet?

are they showing up at all? or just not landing in the traps? what version of don't starve are you running? could you send me a screencap of your game?

im not catching any owls at all

do you mean you're only catching one type of owl, or no owls AT ALL? if the former, there is only one owl, it automatically changes its plumage based on the season, and your sanity, exactly the same as the rabbit; I apologize if the mod description words it poorly. this means you can only see the winter owl during the winter, standard during other seasons, beardling with low sanity, and shadow during insanity. if it is the latter issue (no owls at all), they only come out at sunset and at night, and make sure you are using a bird trap.

do you have any debug commands to spawn the owl types they are REALLY hard to find, am i doing something wrong? im making a field of traps and putting 1 piece of big meat in the traps. please please PLEASE respond i need awnsers

It doesn't seem like owl sounds are affected by game settings. I often play with game sound/music off and listening to other music, so it's very noticeable when all of a sudden flapping wings and hoots happen. Other than that I love this mod

@lemgon_ultimate yes, owls will come and eat your meats! protip: bait traps with meat at night to catch owls. caged owls give good rewards when fed live rabbits, so it's worth the little extra hassle.

Ok, it's like a little Addon. Nice Stuff to make the Night Life more interesting. Your Balancing is very welcome and you did what no one did before: you expanded the Creature Variety of Don't Starve. The Creatures are simple, but have their own Rules. It really feels Amazing. Soo, when Owls are Canivores, does that mean that I quickly must gather the Meat before it gets Eaten? xD =D

tried this mod and it's awesome but i cant deal with SW any more, you cannot turn off croc attacks; setting the slider to None does nothing, periodic croc attacks still occur and ruin the game , making SW garbage.

@lumpy1318 the owl sounds do not seem to be affected by the games sound controls, whether it be volume, stero effects, etc. it's not something I particularly noticed as I normally play with speakers at standard volume. I'll work on a fix but it may take a little while

Hey would you mind fixing a bug? I like to listn to music whil playing this game but the owls hoots are really laud and i cant turn it down in music sound affects or the other one that i cant remember so if you could fix it to where you could turn down or up the saunds of the animals that would be great. other than that this mod is amazing really nicely done.

Hello! First I wanna say, I really enjoy this mod. Secondly, I have a bit of critique I guess. I feel like moth wings are a little bit too filling. When I first saw this mod I was like oh, so moths are like reverse butterflys? I was suprised that a single thing of moth wings fills more than the 8 or 9 hunger that butterfly wings do. Other than that, this mod is pretty good!
