Kresso Thaan 4 Feb, 2024 @ 2:54am
is there any way of reducing training time?
Risitas_Fanboi 3 Mar, 2023 @ 4:55am
ok how do I turn this into a regular class?
Geek4EverTerry 10 Oct, 2022 @ 11:38am
Do you know how i can find the deckname for this class?
Anomen 15 Jan, 2022 @ 5:18pm
If anyone is interested I've made a Spanish translation of this mod: https://pastebin.com/vN2GafPN

Just copy the text into workshop\content\268500\1241073845\Localization\XComGame.int or create XComGame.esn on the same folder.

@ChocolateJustice I had an unusual experience with the withdraw ability. There was a lot of cover near own forces but when given the order to "withdraw" the soldier headed straight for cover but very near a heavy mec and sectopod. Since withdraw is an order from an officer and not panic I did not expect it to work that way. I love this class. I use another mod to change the rank names for other classes to enlisted army ranks and then this mod provides the officers for missions. It never made sense for missions to be done entirely by high ranking officers. When I play I put an officer to lead each mission. I enjoy this class a lot. Thanks for the hard work!!

I like this mod. Question: I would like people in my Character Pool to become officers naturally when they level up, using the "Use My Class" mod. Can I make this happen?

I can't figure out how to add a gun to the second slot, so that the shooting animation is one-handed like the Templars. If anyone knows please tell me
BlazinHothead 4 Nov, 2020 @ 5:41am
What if I don't get the GTS-only trainable classes mod? Will it break this one or just make the Officer class freely available?
Jimmy Raynor 31 Oct, 2020 @ 6:56pm
@lieutenant I have attempted to work with this mod but doesn't seem to show up in GTS or through promotion (Commander's Choice in my case). Any possibilities?
C. Justice  [author] 16 Oct, 2020 @ 5:13pm
@Theamson - Well hopefully it does for your sake :) I am not active as such on XCOM at the moment and haven't been for a good few months so I apologise in advance if their are any issues with Long War Compatibility.
Teamson 16 Oct, 2020 @ 4:39pm
@Lieutenant A.Kouassi thank you so much for your fast reply. this means a lot when you are about to start your new game <3
Jimmy FireCracker 16 Oct, 2020 @ 4:29pm
@lieutenant A.Kouassi

I remember that at one point it used to work with commanders choice a while back weird that it doesn't work now.....or I might be mistaking it for a different officer mod
C. Justice  [author] 16 Oct, 2020 @ 3:44pm
@Theamson - Yes it should however no guarentees it might not be as balanced etc depending on what LW changes.

@Jimmy - I do not know much about the commanders choice mod so it may work, may not. As for the GTS element, yes my class is only recruited through GTS unless you have no officers, it will then roll a chance to provide you one in normal rolls.
Teamson 16 Oct, 2020 @ 1:54pm
Does this work with LWotc?
Jimmy FireCracker 24 Aug, 2020 @ 3:13pm
doesn't seem to work with commanders choice or is this mod only usable inside the GTS?
Haerzog 20 Mar, 2020 @ 9:29am
I kinda wanna give this guy the double-barrel sawed-off shotgun as a secondary, rather than the sword.
C. Justice  [author] 11 Feb, 2020 @ 5:29am
I currently use over 370 mods atm, some of which are my own.

Easiest way to see for yourself is to look at my collection which contains mostly what I use atm ;)

The cape is from a Templar mod. The armour is a mix of original XCOM EU/EW mod.
Darth Jimmi 9 Feb, 2020 @ 12:15pm
What mod is the armor from in the last screenshot? The uniform, the cape... it all looks really cool!
Sitvekzer 8 Feb, 2020 @ 1:58pm
I appreciate the effort you took into making that one pic of an imperial officer. Amen.
Snipe 9 Nov, 2019 @ 12:21am
Never-mind I figure it out. Thanks.
Snipe 8 Nov, 2019 @ 3:13pm
I'm a bit confused in this the one I want for just pistols or the other one. Thanks.
C. Justice  [author] 15 Jun, 2019 @ 7:14am
Updated. Added new ability and adjusted a few minor things.
Haybusa 13 Jan, 2019 @ 8:35pm
@Touc Oudok This Pc>OS>Program Files (x86)>Steam>Steamapps>Workshop>Content>268500>1241073845>Config>XcomClassData.ini

Is how you get there and XcomClassData.ini is the file where you would make that Deck change.
Mr.Deathstrike Missile 13 Jan, 2019 @ 12:40pm
thanks both of you, although on the ini side of this, were specificaly do i make those changes? as all i see are the standard classes and the WOTC ones, am i mean't to see the mod classes show up aswell?
C. Justice  [author] 13 Jan, 2019 @ 12:16pm
I may change that system back at a later point however atm it is designed to only be trainable from GTS as in theory the class itself should be a rarity compared to the rest. That being said I may alter it slightly in future.

As @HaybusaVII states, if you would like it currently to appear as a normal class, make the relevant changes in files.
Haybusa 13 Jan, 2019 @ 12:13pm
@Touc Oudok You can go into the ini files, and go into ClassData and make this change:
+NumInForcedDeck=1
+NumInDeck=1
But the mod author made it where the officer is only trainable from GTS.
Mr.Deathstrike Missile 13 Jan, 2019 @ 11:27am
is anyone else having a bug were the officer class never show's up in the game? i've had this bug for a while but it was just fine before the legacy update, i also have the required items but they don't seem to fix anything, if anyone could help me figure this out it would be much appriciated :)
takatomon 6 Oct, 2018 @ 2:51am
hi... thanks for the mod, author! i love the idea of a class that leads and supports the squad. and i prefer this version over your other officer with the sword because it just doesn't fit the class theme wise and mechanically wise (although it looks kewlll)

i just have a suggestion. i noticed that the class icon is colored which is different from all vanilla classes as well as the other class mods. it's a kinda a nitpick but would it be okay if you edit the class icon to be more in line with the vanilla ones? like make it all blue and such? anyway thanks again for the mod!
C. Justice  [author] 29 Sep, 2018 @ 6:35am
In relation to the below the latest update has changed the way in which the class operates. Please make sure you have subscribed to the newest mandatory additional mod which allows recruitment from the GTS.
Haybusa 28 Sep, 2018 @ 6:20pm
My NumInDeck is 0 and I got a Officer a couple weeks in.
Twice 28 Sep, 2018 @ 9:24am
@HaybusaVII

Yeah, I partly did that, but I changed NumInDeck to 1 as well. It works now, as changing only NumInForcedDeck to 1 wasn't enough to train one for some reason. It works now though...
Haybusa 28 Sep, 2018 @ 7:37am
Just change +NumInForcedDeck=0 to
+NumInForcedDeck=1
So you always will get one Officer in your barracks.
Twice 27 Sep, 2018 @ 12:05pm
Yeah, I can't seem to get this to work anymore. Don't know what changed since it worked fine back in May.

I can't select officers in Commander's Choice.
I can't train rookies to become officers in GTS.
I CAN create officers as pre-made characters to appear in the game.

But that's it. No other way to acquire one otherwise.
Kujo Divinity 18 Sep, 2018 @ 7:52am
so I build a GTS and nothing, what am I missing?
philmakerguy 14 Sep, 2018 @ 3:23am
This class looks like it could work with the ballistic shields mod.
C. Justice  [author] 8 Sep, 2018 @ 6:23pm
@Raegorn - I may look into future class archtypes and include a duel pistol theme :)
Rewasder 8 Sep, 2018 @ 3:50pm
hey! you could do this one to use the double pistol mod, that would be cool for some clone oficers
C. Justice  [author] 14 Aug, 2018 @ 4:40pm
@haybusaVII - as of the latest change. You will only get the class if you train a rookie in the GTS. It should appear and be functioning as intended. If there is an issue I will address it asap.
Son of a Shepherd 14 Aug, 2018 @ 5:46am
@HaybusaVII Thanks for the info! However I am also unable to promote an officer from the GTS for some reason. I think it is related to this line:

"Can only be recruited via the GTS unless you have no Officer's at all."

I have no officers at all, but how do I get my first one? Thanks again for any and all help!
Haybusa 13 Aug, 2018 @ 7:49pm
@The Infraggable Krunk I personally make my own personal edits for this class so I am very up to date with the changes. The mod author made it where you can only get an officer by directly training a rookie to an officer in gts.
Son of a Shepherd 13 Aug, 2018 @ 7:15pm
I've been playing with this mod active and I haven't ever had a rookie promote to officer, with 14 soldiers promoted so far. Is this normal? Or is there something that needs to happen before they can be acquired?

I downloaded primary secondaries and the highlander mod it requires and have both of them active as well. Thanks!
Fennsterr 10 Aug, 2018 @ 4:57am
@HaybusaVII Thanks a lot!
Haybusa 6 Aug, 2018 @ 10:21am
Fennsterr 6 Aug, 2018 @ 6:27am
Hey man, great mod. I really love this and use quite a few of yours!

Was just wondering if you remembered which mod you use that gave you the capes/cloaks in one of your screenshots there. Can't find it anywhere.

Cheers!
C. Justice  [author] 16 Feb, 2018 @ 11:40am
The A.I makes a random defensive descision much like the resistance A.I when moving. It is an ability to be used with caution as it does not guarentee that soldier to make a 100% sound judgement.

The action you describe is correct as you sent him in open then used that ability. The A.I chose to find cover and did so.

Unfortunate that he got flanked and killed. The ability works as intended, you just have to be careful of how you use it and not do anything too irrational.
Ethan 16 Feb, 2018 @ 10:23am
Does the withdraw ability have certain priorities for the random action to be taken? ie full cover, further from enemies etc?

I had my grenadier killed after I sent him in the open to lob a nade, then used the withdraw ability hoping he turn back. Instead he went for a full cover closer the enemy and got himself flanked.

Can you share how the random AI works so I can sorta predict next time?
Ethan 10 Feb, 2018 @ 5:13am
Nice! That was qucik! Now back to my Season 2 WOTC game. My officer is paired with the LW Leaders Pack perks. ;)
C. Justice  [author] 10 Feb, 2018 @ 4:41am
@Yuki - Fixed. Yes your suggestion is part of what I was hoping to incorporate and also have it perhaps be an area effect thing that you target as opposed to just increasing LOS.
Ethan 10 Feb, 2018 @ 2:44am
Ok so I've just tested the bino ability. My extended information tells me it will end in 1 turn. However, the buff was persistent over many turns. Could you give a check and confirm this?

Suggestion: Bino ability persist as long as the Officer does not move. No cool down timers.
