This is such a cool idea, and the city in the sky idea's really cool, too-- It'll be like an RPG with side-quests and everything.<3

Not sure if you found this yet or not but there is a bug with the laughing crows in the tent where if you use the cappy mod and become them and jump out, you end up around 50miles in the air. This is reacuring on all of them besides the closest one on your right when entering the tent.

Finally! The 2. Beta is online!
I'm not 100% statisfied with it, but I couldn't wait any longer.
Knowing People still downloaded the old version made me anxious, so there ya go!

Just to let you guys know - The next Update for this Map will come out at the end of this Month (probably). I changed a lot of the Tree and there will be a new Timepiece for you to collect.
Oh, and yes - I added plenty of checkpoints.

Hover over your Steam Library, select Tools and install the A Hat in Time Editor :3
Everything runs in the Unreal 3 engine, so it's pretty easy to find good tutorials.

Although you might not need any if you just want to make something simple.
(okay maybe some for the camera controlls and how to acces the Content Browser)

Everything you see in my map is pretty much beginner level stuff.
... It's my first mod after all ^^

My only problem with it is that climing the tree without checkpoints is very frustrating.

It's actually really easy to use if you spend some time with it.

I almost thought noone has fun with this map.

Yeah I'm pretty exited to release the next part aswell :)
But don't hold your breath, I'm gonna work on it for a while.
I'm guessing 2-3 Months (could be longer) because I really want to nail it this time.

I'm not gonna make the same mistake twice and upload it way to early riddled with bugs and imperfections.

Doesn't make a good Impression ^^

Level is very promising,i really like that you even use voice acting,i don't know how you pulled that off but its very impressive,level is fresh and fun you really pulled off the level design that use Cappy and Tornado almost perfectly (even if beginning with the cookies is maybe a bit too hard? )
,i now can't wait to try the release version without all the annoying bugs :)

checkpoints are needed windmill style. or maybe time rift style. or if you played White Tower Forest (because it's okay to be *White* get it?).

Mmh.. so Checkpoints for the Tree seem to be in high demand ^^'

I'll do a straw poll after my next update for the Tree Checkpoints.
I'll let it open till the update after the next one comes out lol

I had to cheat myself into getting the top. not the cheat-cheat sense, but just to put myself into the "checkpoint". the 5(?) rotation balloons are very hard and that badly needs a checkpoint.

the most annoying would be getting up when the branch is directly above you and that you need to do a double cappy.

it was pretty easy to get the cappy + lilac combo even though I haven't used cappy till now.

Yeah, I agreee it needs some Heart Pons - I'm not quite sure about the checkpoints yet tho.

The Tree was originally planned to just be a Bonus challenge - What you see right now is just the Hub from where you can acces the real levels in the future.

I know it's a messy release, but I ran out of time ^^'

I'd appreciate if you could take a look at it again as soon as I got some more things to show :)

Finally finished the level. I really hate that there are no checkpoints & no heart pons so the only way to play the level is by using the ghost console command every time you mess up. I really hate the painting on a hot air balloon.

But the worst thing in all of thingdom is the tree because of things like the length of the second dweller mask section, the fact that the timed part exists, the fact that the balloon part exists, & the part where if you go the wrong way you get stranded on a giant tree. The camera angles frequently force you to jump toward nothing & just hope that if you go far enough in a random series of midair directions, you'll find somewhere to go.

Despite my extreme negativity, this level could be really good if these problems are resolved.

I eventually just barely made it by using a different method but it took 3 deaths & was an unbearable chore. My new method is throw hat, jump, dive onto hat, throw hat, jump onto hat, dive, cancel, Cyclone.

The Conductor's still there talking about cheating though so I guess he was always there & I just forgot?

The weird thing about what happened is my abilities seemed to all still work but I somehow wasn't making even remotely near the distance I'd been making previously. My method was jump on cappy, throw him again, air jump onto him, air jump again, dive, cancel, Cyclone but it just suddenly wasn't getting me anywhere near far enough. It would help if I could do a wall run at the end of the jump since I did sometimes reach the wall.

Maybe, I could do Cyclone during the dive instead of cancelling the dive first. Maybe, that way, the dive would give Cycone more momentum. I'll try it later. If it is a glitch like I was thinking, it's probably either a glitch with one of the mods or a glitch with the position of the last cookie. The last cookie did seem easier to reach than before.

Yeah, the music bug still bugs me, 2 *badum tsss*
I'm assuming it's because I play the Music as Sounds, and not as Game Music.
Or maybe it has something to do ith the triggers - I'm not sure yet. It's my first Mod after all :)
Unfortunatly the only ingame fix for this right now is to start the level over.
But I promise I'll fix that.

Mmmh... that second bug is really interesting - It shouldn't happen that you can't use all your abilities. And it has never happend on my playtests. Do you remember what exactly you did for the Mods/Abilities to not work probably?

It would help me out a lot - so I can try to figure out what went wrong.

I was enjoying it until 2 different versions of the Alpine Skyline theme started playing over each other out of sync so I killed myself but I respawned at the very beginning. When reattempting it, I was no longer allowed to make the last jump before the first checkpoint so I had to use the ghost command.

Edit: With the new implication that the mod is somehow going to punish me for being forced to "cheat", I am no longer willing to play this map. I'll come back if this gets fixed or if you can confirm that there's no penalty for cheating.

Mmmh.. I thought about adding a Beginning Area where the Player can play around with the mods first before landing on the main Island.

Guess I should start with that first then :)

And yeah, I was thinking about adding a few Checkpoints on the Tree - But I decided against it because I kinda like the tension it creates - the higher you get - the greater the fall.

Maybe I should rethink that.

i kind of hated the tree top section because if you fall its donezo
also theres nothing to really get the player used to the fact to using mods for basic platforming
honestly i dont know how that would be done though

It's to show the Player how far you can get with all of them - so you can judge the distance right.
But yeah, it's pretty barren right now ._.

How did you like climbing to the Tree Top?

It's the Main Part of the level - So I'd really likte to hear what people think about it so far.
