Broken :(
trar 6 Mar, 2023 @ 11:44am
Is this broken or no? Shame if it is, it's a really good mod.
Andizee 29 Sep, 2022 @ 10:21pm
Ditto to what @mpcamposz mentioned. Since downloading this mod, I've been receiving the same issue when placing power lines (as well as pipes. though not sure if it's related).

Every instance of powerpoles/lines that's created I'm met with the following error window..:

"Could not load type 'Problem'. [System.TypeLoadException]

Details:
No details"

I've unsub'd from the asset, yet the error persists. I'm not sure how else to go about and fixing this.
boy 25 Sep, 2022 @ 1:33pm
mpcamposz I'm having the same issue but with all powerlines, so I think its something else doing this.

This is broken. "Could not load type "problem"" error appears after placing and wont go away even if deleted.

This is one of my favorite mods! I use it in all of my cities!
Severno 18 Apr, 2020 @ 11:14am
This is SOO useful when starting a new city and for making the rural look. One small issue us that it's a bit difficult to see the lines without zooming in, which makes it difficult to remove them. Some people have already commented on this and have thought of solutions.
Peter Lion 2 Apr, 2020 @ 2:58pm
ooooooo ya! It's electriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiic! :critical:
Apples 7 Mar, 2020 @ 2:11pm
Yea @SeaSharp is correct, i suppose the best way would have been to give it a power/connection radius of a small square, just covering the power lines, so you can clearly see it on the map, but small enough that it still stands as a rural powerline.

Nice mod.

Also, you could have used a better reference to a song about electricity with the right exentrism.

Everything there is will be - Electric
Everything I see will be - Electric
Everything I touch will be - Electric
Everything, everything will be - Electric

S.P.O.C.K - E-lectric :Tie:

You saved my life, love you for create this
Dreaminway 29 May, 2019 @ 1:18am
The only issue with this is when under power view it does not display the blue area of power so it's guess work rather the powerlines are connecting anything at all. Also due to such you can lose track of where the lines are VERY quickly unless you scan about for the light patch's of dirt that form at the bases. But you have to be really zoomed in.
wiking_IV 8 May, 2019 @ 10:04am
good idea!

Sometimes the poles disappear, but the cables stay up.
Filzbiber 24 Oct, 2018 @ 7:47am
I really love the look of your powerline, however, I tend to forget and oversee them and sometimes I just can't find them anymore. Is there a way you could make them slightly better visible in the electricity overlay? Just a liiittle bit more blue glow.
leftbehind 12 May, 2018 @ 5:55pm
If you use Utility Pole (from Modern Lighting Pack asset) as street lamps on roads, you can with some patience overlay these Rural Utility Lines on top of them to create working electric wires between the utility poles (the wires match up quite well so it looks realistic). Just turn off all the placement snapping options while adding the utility lines, and carefully place the utility line so it's inside the utility pole (light prop) at the edge of the road. The utility line will disappear (as it can't be too close to the road) leaving behind the utility pole (light prop) and working power lines!

Finaly found a mod, good buy massive power lines in tiny rural areas.
sammyson9 30 Mar, 2018 @ 3:53pm
best mod ever
Badi_Dea  [author] 26 Mar, 2018 @ 9:24pm
@Are Risnes : I'm not entirely sure what you're asking, but I'll try to answer. There are no compatability problems with any other custom power line assets. I'm not sure about sounds, I've never noticed any sound from power lines before, but if there are sounds I didn't make any alterations to them in the creation of this asset.

Thanks everyone, I appreciate the comments!

Tsunami 4 Mar, 2018 @ 2:52pm
@gs, you could have powerlines connect as one asset to roads, but they wouldn't work. But, you could use the invisible power boxes to jump power all the way to another town.
Tsunami 4 Mar, 2018 @ 2:50pm
@gs, that's not really possible. To have roads and power lines as a single asset is not possible. If you don't wanna put the work in of putting the lines yourself, just use the massive ones. What I think could be possible with a little work is to change the texture of the massive power lines to the small ones. Though, you would be losing the big power lines that would connect from plant to sub-station to little lines that connect to all the little towns.
RaizyCas 27 Feb, 2018 @ 4:50pm
This needed to be a thing for a really long time! No more giant high voltage lines going throgh town anymore!!!
steeze.nuts 26 Feb, 2018 @ 1:55pm
the poles are missing. worked fine before
Death-Badger 19 Feb, 2018 @ 11:05am
this is great for my city
TheRealBengus 6 Feb, 2018 @ 10:54am
I may be 600 game hours late, but sure am glad I found this. Can't understand why the game never added these in one of their DLCs
gs 5 Feb, 2018 @ 12:05pm
Is it possible to combine roads (like highways or other) with powerlines ? It'll be really cool to connect long-distance regions with a such one
Dark_453 2 Feb, 2018 @ 9:42pm
Yay, no more ugly arse power lines everywhere.
reyan.tm 22 Jan, 2018 @ 6:58am

Sidai 15 Jan, 2018 @ 7:47am
may i ask you, if you could do the same thing with this kind of pylon? https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=772249062
This would be amazing!
Ra02 14 Jan, 2018 @ 4:49am
oh you will win this game if you do more, because I'm building a 1:1 scale city and having more types of poles would make it even more realistic, god I need to learn how to mod myself

and yes larger too, but smaller also, if you want realism, you have to have the huge power pylons, that leads to a bit smaller, that leads to the "games" lines, that leads to smaller rural (bigger than this) that leads to something like yours and finally that leads to a single line post, trafo stations would be cool too, but I can only dream on :D
Badi_Dea  [author] 13 Jan, 2018 @ 7:29pm
Thanks guys, I appreciate the comments :-)
@xnavytc: These are placed just like the default powerlines, and function exactly the same. No props needed.
@Ra02: It's a builtin feature of the network editor now. About doing more - I haven't decided yet, we defenetly need larger towers that look nicer than the default ones. I'd consider it if no one else steps in to fill the gap.
Fizwalker 12 Jan, 2018 @ 7:56am
Don't need the prop tool I think....

xnavytc 5 Jan, 2018 @ 2:08pm
How do you get the wires to show I get the poles and love the fact I can us prop line tool to put them where I want to, but I dont see any wires hanging from them??
Welshy//Virtan 5 Jan, 2018 @ 5:38am
I didn't realise it worked the same as the power lines. I selected it recently and was amazed. Nice job! :D
