Small and good mods, that save some weight when traveling around. When its passible to summone swords and waraxes, why not pickaxe and woodcuter?

Could you please update this so it works with the Dragonborn DLC as well? Works fine in Skyrim itself but when in Solstheim it says I need a pickaxe to mine. I have tried it in both hands.

Ok got it working, apparently it was not necessarily a problem with this mod. I had to change around my "load order" to get it to work, unsure how that fixes anything but it works for me now.

does it work just like how one mines with a pick axe or do you actually have to physically select and then activate the tool spell?

Given the weight of standard issue tools and the fact I tend not to carry them around, this is pricelss in a bind (pun unintended) and totally lore appropriate. Good work

I love this idea, I really do, but there's something a bit off about watching a robed mage digging ore out of the dirt like a common laborer. Is it possible to create a spell that would mine a vein directly? Maybe bypass the usual scripts, have it create the ore items in the inventory and set the targeted vein to harvested?

Not sure whats is happening in my game, Assuredly some kind of mod confliction but using one of the bound tool spells crashes the game to desktop. Most all the mods I have are pretty mainsteam but Im slowly working through them and disabling to try and find what is causing the error. Will post back if I do find whatever causes the crash.

After about 2 days with Skyrim, I thought to myself, "If I could just have a bound pickaxe instead of this heavy, ugly thing I keep in my backpack, how wonderful that would be." You made a dream come true with this mod. I've never had any problem with either the axe or pickaxe. Will use this on all future characters and play-throughs. Must-have mod for the player who likes to watch their carry weight.

Not sure what happened, but your mod disappeared from my Loader; said I wasn't subscribed. I had not unsub'd. Then when I did a search on the Workshop for "bound tools", only the "Bound Pickaxe" and a bound weapon showed up. Fortunately that pickaxe mod had a link that brought me here. You were still Thumbs Up and Fav'd. Whew!! Was worried. Already lost the "Hole in the Wall" mod [& a whole lot of booty and stashed septims] under similar circumstances. Thought maybe you had pulled it. I use it all the time. Saves a lot of weight.

Just some feedback... I have had a number of CTD with summoning the pickaxe. It seems to always happen when I summon it in my left hand. Also with other dungeon mods which have ore (for example Darkfall Cavern and Den of Vespyre) regardless of the hand I summon it in, the game CTDs

Like Altorius, I've been having a problem with my own bound weapons. My google search question brought me here, thanks to him. I'm trying to make an OP bound weapons, because my old version of the OP broke and I might as well make the new version better. I'm not sure how to set it up; the "magical effect" option does not work for spell tomes, and the "spells" option doesn't seem to let me choose which weapon I'm summoning.

I cannot harvest mine using the summoned pickaxe, either by pressing E, or attacking the deposit. Is there a mod which will allow the attacking to harvest that I am not aware of? One of the Authors posts indicate that he can just by hitting them.

i cant use it when mining or chopping wood, how about when you conjured one you need, you can use it (only when worn)

Hey, sorry making a bound armor isn't currently on my list of things to do. And if it was, I wouldn't be able to add the flaming effect without some significant help from a 3d artist. Summonable staves are also not really on my list either... it would basically just be like giving a player a stave with infinite charges.

However, I may be working on a mod which allows you to "Bind" a weapon of your choice for later summoning. ;)

Hey being a summoner character, i was wondering if you could make a summonable set of light and heavy armour. So you can run around in clothing, but summon armour on for combat that after a few minutes turns off. Flaming purple of course =D Also summonable staves.

I was wondering if you can give me info on how to make a bound/summon-able weapon with Creation Kit. I was able to get as far as summoning the sword into my inventory... thanks for the feedback .

I'll look at adding them to the vendors... I was reluctant because one of my highest priorities when developing any mod is to create as little conflict as possible with other mods, but enough people want them that I'll do it.

Working on another mod right now, but will upload a new version of this once I get a chance to fix/test it.

This looks interesting, as well as your bound weapons. These spells should've already been in the game, imo. Also, I think the spells should be for sale, instead of 'free'. But that's ok, I'll just drop Farengar some gold in a nearby chest to 'pay' for them; problem solved

Well you can simply make a new leveled list and make it to be used by the vendors (that way it can be sold at least) so that way unless somebody modify the vendors it should work

Can you add the spell tome in the leveled spell tome list? so I can randomly encounter it (also in the vendor leveled list) instead of going to a location to find it (I can help if you dont know how)

If you had both this mod and the mining flames mod, you would still be able to use the woodcutter's axe from this mod, but only the last loaded out of the mods would allow mining ore deposits.

it might still affect it... shouldn't unless it's enabled, but if you saved the game with it enabled something might have carried over.

@vonwarr I HAD it, but then uninstalled it. wondered if it messed it up, cuz i tried dual casting, shame that elemental fury can't effect conjured weapons. Gloombound mine = 3 minutes :D

@Boreas I can mine with these pickaxes by just hitting the ore deposit. My favorite thing to do is summon two and do double power attacks with them.

Do you by chance have midas magic installed?

Is there any way you could make it so that you can just attack the ore sample? You can do it with real pickaxes and its wayyyy faster. I like not having to carry one around, but having to watch the mining action triples my mining time :(
