Thanks!
Erbkaiser  [author] 21 Apr @ 11:13pm
It should work with any map, and as long as cities are at the right coordinates on the world map (ie. not displaced) it will work right.
Legendkiller456 21 Apr @ 9:48am
Hey! Is this mod compatible with Coast to Coast so long as I put it above that mod?
飞雪落孤城 31 Mar @ 1:36am
OK!Thank you very much!:steamhappy:
Erbkaiser  [author] 31 Mar @ 1:24am
Yeah, his mod should do the same as mine.
飞雪落孤城 30 Mar @ 10:32pm
If I use your mod together with the "Winter Time Zones" mod of tkk7406, can I activate the "Display Full Time Zone Information" feature in the game? Thank you:steamthumbsup:
Erbkaiser  [author] 25 Mar @ 12:15am
Except for the frequency of thunder storms, this mod will not affect weather.
RobertMcBride 24 Mar @ 9:28pm
i will use this mod with brutal weather and let´s see

Right, so for example we can see here https://www.timeanddate.com/sun/usa/los-angeles in LA the sun will reach 41 degree angle today, which it looks like exactly without reforma. When I activate reforma, I can clearly see the sun is higher in the sky and shadows are shorter, which takes away from the immersion of real day/night time as it looks like a late summer day, not a day in november.. Of course I understand its a game and cant be perfect, thank you for your work in any case. with ETS2 this doesnt happen
Erbkaiser  [author] 1 Nov, 2024 @ 11:48am
So it is working. This mod is not dependent on any map. It is a global setting. As long as a map puts cities in the right spots, it WILL work. Period.

allenbooking8 1 Nov, 2024 @ 11:26am
I put above all mods, there is a small difference when i use reforma, the sun set is about 15 minutes later, and shadows are are higher angle throughout the day
Erbkaiser  [author] 1 Nov, 2024 @ 11:10am
This mod needs to be above any map mods, including Reforma. Then it will work.
allenbooking8 1 Nov, 2024 @ 10:29am
I notice this mod is not comaptable with reforma, when i have the refoma map mod active the sunet and sunrise times are different
SireDragonChester 17 Oct, 2024 @ 10:39am
@Guy

Just make sure turn on your day time running head lights. Yes I know often AI don't have lights on during the day. it is annoying, Now will SCS ever fix this, prob not.
Erbkaiser  [author] 15 Oct, 2024 @ 10:22am
No, headlight use is determined by the sun being 5 degrees above the horizon. Since that is hard to judge, just follow the AI, or use automatic lights.
Guy 5 Oct, 2024 @ 11:54pm
Does this help with the headlight usage fines?

Cops always fining for not having them on but it's still light out -_-
Ser Pounce 4 Oct, 2024 @ 7:47pm
Thanks for the headsup and update!
Erbkaiser  [author] 4 Oct, 2024 @ 3:40pm
Next week's update will be Monday 14-10 at the earliest as I will be on holiday.
Erbkaiser  [author] 29 Sep, 2024 @ 12:18am
What do you mean, Doriano?
Doriano 27 Sep, 2024 @ 4:51am
should be at least the 7th Wednesday maybe?
PinolX 14 Sep, 2024 @ 12:53pm
Thanks for clarifying haha 1.51 :approved:
Erbkaiser  [author] 14 Sep, 2024 @ 1:24am
No change needed for 1.51 (thank god)
PinolX 11 Sep, 2024 @ 7:54pm
Waiting for 1.51 (: (:approved:) (:denied:)

This mod changes the sunset and sunrise times according to the time zones, so there will be less/more daylight-nighttime depending the time of the year unless you use the static variants which are also linked in the description at the bottom.

It doesn't follow the real time while you play the game concurrently if that's what you're asking (e.g. Animal Crossing) but the sunset will be delayed an hour as you go westwards because you're in a different timezone.

The first part of the description:

"This mod changes the day/night cycle to real world times. This affects the time the sun will rise or set.

It works by changing the defined day from midsummer to the Wednesday of the current week. So in winter you will have long nights and short days, and in summer the reverse."
Erbkaiser  [author] 18 Aug, 2024 @ 12:49am
This mod does not freeze the time of day - nothing can do that. It sets the correct sunrise and sunset times. @TERP
willemwk 8 Jul, 2024 @ 1:07pm
Thx man, i will try it. I knew that it was for every game version that's why it's so strange. And it happened with both games. There are 2 versions at the workshop for ETS2, so i downloaded the other one and it is working for ETS2. But there is only 1 version for ATS in the workshop. But again i will try your suggestion
Erbkaiser  [author] 8 Jul, 2024 @ 12:53pm
I have no idea why @willemwk. It should still support just about every game version. Perhaps the workshop download got corrupted? Try unsubscribing, launch the game, quit, and resubscribe, to force a new download.
willemwk 8 Jul, 2024 @ 11:00am
After all the years i used this mod, suddenly the mod is crashing the game. what happened???
Erbkaiser  [author] 16 Jun, 2024 @ 8:52am
I take the Wednesday of the following week, so right now it is set to the 19th. When I next update, it will be set to Wednesday the 26th.
sheep 15 Jun, 2024 @ 9:25pm
If I update, will the sunrise and sunset updates be made based on the update date? For example, if you update on June 22, will the sunrise and sunset be simulated based on the June 22 date?
Ser Pounce 13 Jun, 2024 @ 3:35am
"Should be compatible* with every other mod, just make sure to place this one above (higher priority than) any graphics, map, or weather mods.
As long as the mod places roads and cities where they are supposed to be on the map sun times will be automatically correctly applied for where you're driving."
WhiteAlphaW0lf 12 Jun, 2024 @ 6:06pm
Hey, I just wanted to ask if your mod is compatible with "Realistic Brutal Graphics And Weather"?
Huckleberry 1 Jun, 2024 @ 2:57pm
That was a quick response lol, thanks!
Erbkaiser  [author] 1 Jun, 2024 @ 2:55pm
If the cities are placed correctly on the map, this mod will allow for accurate sunset and sunrise times.
Huckleberry 1 Jun, 2024 @ 2:47pm
So does this mod also match IRL timezone times, you just have to set it?
Erbkaiser  [author] 17 May, 2024 @ 6:43am
No update needed, they did not change the code this time.
Ser Pounce 17 May, 2024 @ 6:41am
No.
juanredman 17 May, 2024 @ 5:39am
Hi does this mod need update to 1.50 update ?
IceRift73 15 Mar, 2024 @ 4:53am
Looks like this also updates the sun's correct angle of incidence throughout the year making this a must-have for any hardcore realist simmer. Weekly updates huge bonus.
Ipswich 11 Mar, 2024 @ 1:19pm
Thanks for this great mod!
CaptianSlow767 29 Feb, 2024 @ 5:47am
nice mod keep it up
verstappista 14 Dec, 2023 @ 5:57pm
hello. so, i activate the time zones, (only time or full information?)
Erbkaiser  [author] 13 Dec, 2023 @ 9:28am
Hi verstappista: https://www.timeanddate.com/sun/usa/albuquerque
If you do not enable time zones, hours are one hour behind from what is shown there, so today's day light is from 06:55 am to 3:55pm, as the game defaults to Pacific Daylight Time.
verstappista 13 Dec, 2023 @ 4:50am
i need help. this mod makes the day get dark fast, at 6 o'clock in the afternoon, and at 4 o'clock it gets dark little by little (in southern states like texas, new mexico, it doesn't make sense).
i have not activated the time zones or the winter zones mod, does it affect anything?
in the meantime I will keep it deactivated
trainguy_modding 12 Dec, 2023 @ 1:17pm
@Drive Safely what does the thunderstorm_probability do?
Erbkaiser  [author] 10 Dec, 2023 @ 2:57am
Cheers, I'll check the files for next weekend.
Drive Safely 9 Dec, 2023 @ 8:14pm
@Erbkaiser - Thanks for this amazing mod - I've been using it for so long. :) Just for your information, in 1.49 a new line was added to env_data.sii that may need to be included.

thunderstorm_probability: 0.37
Erbkaiser  [author] 4 Dec, 2023 @ 2:41pm
Check your load order, this mod has to be above winter time zones.
ElGatoConBottas 1 Dec, 2023 @ 10:44am
I don´t know what's going on but since 1.49 the winter time zones + this mod is not working anymore for me....sunrises and sunsets are completely wrong if both of them are activated. Could someone else check this too, please?
