Thank you for the update.
DC2357  [author] 13 Jul @ 5:50pm
We are happy to announce the release of version 1.12.1, compatible with CK2 v3.3.5.1., which is a smaller patch mostly aimed at fixing some outstanding bugs and balance issues. Please note that savegames started in v1.12.0 or earlier are not properly compatible; use at your own risk.
DC2357  [author] 13 Jul @ 5:49pm
@Lothar the Commie Monarch Unfortunately, most of our energy has moved towards the CK3 port and development for this mod is winding down. Unless someone else picks it up it's unlikely that any more major features or map expansions will be added.
Lothar the Commie Monarch 1 Jul @ 4:33am
I never stopped palying this mod, it's one of the best for the game. Do you think you'll add the ERE as the offmap empire? And what about Iberia, Italy, the Wends and Illyria? I think that at least Italy and/or Illyria could be the Western Protectorate equivalent, and there could be both Bulgarian and Muslim invasions for the ERE. Maybe you can use the Sunset invasion mechanics for the Muslim invasion of Iberia. All in all, great work!

Just remembered this mod and it's now had a massive update after 4 years?! Thanks for the continued support!
ninjapenguin 30 May @ 8:44pm
Massive thanks for still thinking about ck2 after all this time. I'm really loving the new update, especially the revised Scotland.

After a long wait, we are happy to announce the release of version 1.12.0, compatible with CK2 v3.3.5.1., with new mechanics for creating Marches and dealing with rebellious Remote Provinces, as well as number of map improvements/overhauls. Please note that savegames started in v1.11.x are not properly compatible; use at your own risk.
Andr 15 Sep, 2024 @ 7:35am
still a very good work
Andr 15 Sep, 2024 @ 7:34am
alright :)
DC2357  [author] 14 Sep, 2024 @ 8:39pm
@Andr I wouldn't expect any major updates going forward.
Andr 14 Sep, 2024 @ 7:04am
is this mod discontinued?
DC2357  [author] 16 Aug, 2024 @ 8:41pm
@Armand I believe that's a vanilla event triggered by the ancestor worship decision. You're right that due to the mod's changes to how the dull trait works, it no longer makes as much sense anymore.
Armand 16 Aug, 2024 @ 5:26am
Hi. I love this mod. I do have a small complaint, however.

I'm busy playing with Arthur, and he became a himbo! Haha. I got a random event that gave me the "Dull" trait, something about the character not understanding the metaphors and symbolism in the stories of his ancestors.

It was just a bit disappointing that I had no way of affecting this event. If I'm not mistaken Arthur also starts with the "Quick" trait. I feel like this event should be restricted to certain characters.

Thank you for continually working on this mod.

@bonk Intentional as those were never Frankish kingdoms, though you're correct that it's not really an ideal configuration.

@Heractos Can start at 700 AD, though it will usually take a few decades after it. There are content and titles, but no way to play as the invaders without the console.
Heractos 8 Jun, 2024 @ 3:53am
When do the viking start invading England ? I would like to play a viking invader to see if they have some content like specific duchy/kingdom titles
bonk 3 Jun, 2024 @ 8:04am
Hey, played as the franks, cant form waskonia or provence, hope this is getting improved (prolly not because of the ck3 mod, but still)
Terra Incognita 8 Apr, 2024 @ 1:28pm
I don't play CK2, but this book series is one of my favorites!!!
Marcus917 2 Apr, 2024 @ 12:30pm
yes you can restore rome if you want. also there is a CK3 mod in the works
bonk 6 Mar, 2024 @ 11:50am
Can you restore western rome? that'd be epic (also improve roman mechanics PLEASE!!!)
DC2357  [author] 18 Jan, 2024 @ 4:57pm
@Staunch All the source files are inside the zip you get when you download the mod. You can also find our regular download on the thread (though the OP hasn't been updated, so you'll need to search for "1.11.2" for the latest version).
Staunch 18 Jan, 2024 @ 1:33pm
Could it be possible to get the source files? Id like to make a mod that consists of only scandinavia and you have an amazing foundation. Contact me if you want to!
afentkenzie 3 Nov, 2023 @ 5:56am
imagine eastern rome as an stand in for the chinese empire in this mod
shaftnotfound 13 Sep, 2023 @ 12:54pm

Níl 19 Jul, 2023 @ 5:12pm
Oh wait tsf4 is in my discord ill ask him directly
I forgor
Níl 19 Jul, 2023 @ 5:11pm
Hey would it be okay if I used some of your mechanics in my overhaul mod and credit you guys?
Imperial 19 Jul, 2023 @ 4:46am
@DC2357 Good to hear. Hope your future projects go well. This has got to be my favourite CK2 overhaul next to BBHWW, though yours is much less buggy.
DC2357  [author] 18 Jul, 2023 @ 10:29pm
@Imperial Under that definition, I'd say it's fairly complete. The main issue would be that certain cultures have far more flavour and mechanics than others.
Imperial 18 Jul, 2023 @ 2:27am
While I understand that no overhaul mod is really ever finished due to the scale of it in comparison to its dev team, would you consider this mod to be effectively complete with no key pieces missing/serious bugs included?
Wellington 5 Jul, 2023 @ 4:09am
Aye that makes sense, shame the game isn't more dynamic that way. Thanks! :)
DC2357  [author] 4 Jul, 2023 @ 9:58pm
@TheFlyingScotsman You're entirely correct; the issue is that they should have close cultural affinities with both Imperial cultures and other Brythonic cultures (Briton/Cumbrian/Armorican), which isn't possible ingame since a culture can only be part of one culture group. For gameplay reasons we decided to put them in the Celtic group rather than the Imperial group as they are going to have far more interactions with Britons and Cumbrians than other Imperial cultures in an average game.
Wellington 4 Jul, 2023 @ 11:19am
Hey just wanted to say that the mod is brilliant, you must be very knowledgeable about the Sub-Roman period to make this to such a high level of detail. One question that kinda occurred to me while playing is how come Romano-British culture is in the "Celtic" culture group is instead of the "Imperial" one when surely the difference between Romano-British and "Briton" is that the former speaks Latin and is effectively Romanized and would have more culturally in common with someone from Gaul or Hispania than Ireland or Pictland, and that the latter are the non-Romanized Britons that don't speak Latin. Literally just a tiny thing that caught my attention and made me curious :)

@Axis1211 Depopulation will stop if none of southern Britannia (Kent, Sussex, Essex, and Wessex) is controlled by Anglo-Saxons.
Axis1211 25 Jun, 2023 @ 10:02am
Is there any way to prevent and stop the emmigration events from happening in Britain?
like is it possible to get my prosperity up so high I can somewhat maintain the wealth of my realm?
DC2357  [author] 9 Apr, 2023 @ 9:12am
@Nidas60 Make sure you have no other mods enabled, and that you're on the most recent CK2 version (3.3.5). If that's already true, try verifying the game cache of your CK install, and reinstalling the mod.
Nidas60 8 Apr, 2023 @ 10:47pm
For some reason this mod doesn't work
DC2357  [author] 3 Apr, 2023 @ 3:04pm
@Zonnewende I assume you're talking about the religion - it's just a convenient term for the common religious practices of the Angles, Saxons, Jutes, and Frisians on both sides of the North Sea.
Hansworst 3 Apr, 2023 @ 2:05am
Why are the mainland European Frisians Anglo-Saxon? The Germanics of the mainland mixing with the Britons resulted into the Anglo-Saxons. This happened in England exclusively.
DC2357  [author] 10 Mar, 2023 @ 3:42pm
@Tjod Yes, but no timelines.
Tjod 9 Mar, 2023 @ 8:10am
A long time since I looked up this mod, are there any plans to continue the mod with Ck3?
DC2357  [author] 8 Mar, 2023 @ 10:16pm
@RedPointde20 Expanding the map is unlikely at this point.
RedPointde20 8 Mar, 2023 @ 6:28pm
Are you going to update it and complete the map with more factions?
DC2357  [author] 27 Feb, 2023 @ 5:58pm
@Axis1211 It'll trigger if all of the provinces on the border of the Cymru region have been conquered by the Anglo-Saxons and the Anglo-Saxon duchies of Wrocensaete and Magonsaete have been created. Cymru does not have the Britannia high kingship mechanics and functions more or less like a normal vanilla empire title. If you subsequently reconquer Britannia, the south will all be under Cymru, while the north will be under Hen Ogledd.

There aren't any de jure interactions between Dumnonia and Cornwall, no.
Axis1211 27 Feb, 2023 @ 2:39pm
What Kingdoms/lands need to be lost in order to unlock this? And does the Empire of Cymru operate much like Britannia?
And what happens if you become Ruler of Cymru and then reconquer lots of England.

Also final Question, If Dumnonia loses too much land ie reduced to Devon does it just become part of dejure Kingdom of Cornwall?
DC2357  [author] 27 Feb, 2023 @ 1:39pm
@Axis1211 Yep, there's an event that will flip the Brythonic empire title from Britannia to Cymru.
Axis1211 26 Feb, 2023 @ 10:06am
What happens if the Saxons take all of the lands that would become England? Will Britons be able to still claim the High Kingship and Reform it into a Kingship over just Wales?

Or do Briton players get to form a Kingdom of Wales?
DC2357  [author] 17 Jan, 2023 @ 2:30pm
@Maximae Ignatius Magnus Get smaller, get more prestige, or reform out of tribalism. Larger tribal realms aren't meant to be stable.
MaxentiusGP 17 Jan, 2023 @ 4:41am
Anyone know how to deal with the whopping -70 vassal opinion 'disrespected ruler' modifier? It seems a little unhinged and running ramped in my game rn.
GenuinelyEric 8 Jan, 2023 @ 2:30am
Man we need a mod like this in Crusader Kings 3, so badly.
