i love this road.
Dvasong_***** 7 Apr, 2023 @ 5:24pm
isnt this in one of the content creator packs?
bcberbert 26 Dec, 2022 @ 8:14am
For anyone who is looking, I do not consider this depreciated at all. A - it still works and B - you have the option to add trees with the network skins mod. The V2 of this road has no tree option just the grass strip. I use this road extensively in my cities because I like the parking + the trees.

how delete lines in the road editor in cites skylines?
ApollonDriver 4 Feb, 2021 @ 4:54am
@jetmatas you can use BIG suburbs pack, houses come with decals that covers up the grass

@jetmatas At the moment, you can't
jetmatas 21 Dec, 2020 @ 11:59am
How do you make it so that there's no curb to the entrance to their driveways to their garages??
Bit 8 Dec, 2020 @ 7:47am
Very nice. Every type of road should have those curb cuts, also in correspondence with the buildings. Vehicles climbing the sidewalks to access buildings are one of the worst thing in the game. Thank you.

An updated version will be released soon
TheSalamiLid 26 Oct, 2020 @ 3:46pm
i live next to these types of roads. so this is super useful
Android#23 25 May, 2020 @ 10:13pm
Any plan on updating this street? Its killing fps at the moment and even crashing the game.
emilpilsater 14 May, 2020 @ 2:47am
I would really love a four lane version of this for more dense areas

FPS HIT ?
KL-E-0 23 Aug, 2019 @ 12:19am
Hey Urbanist -- Love how it looks but for some reason it has a noticeable performance hit -- used in a large neighborhood and FPS decreases from an average of 28 to 20 (compared with the stock two lane road). Your other roads don't exhibit such issue. Any chance you can investigate?
Gazac 20 Mar, 2019 @ 11:57pm
Hi I'm getting this when I use them, the road still work

@xEthanol Yes, I'll be making a suburban major street at some time!
xEthanoL 12 Dec, 2018 @ 11:12am
Dear Urbanist, is there anyway to create a version of these, but with road markings? In Europe even normal roads have streetside parking with trees, not only suburbs. For the time being only your asset has these features, but without the road markings it looks unrealistic :(
AM7655 4 Dec, 2018 @ 9:04pm
for some reason the roads all went balistic and broke. I had to upgrade to vanila roads.
Urbanist  [author] 19 Sep, 2018 @ 8:32pm
@hYpe* On a vanilla setup the color should be exactly as in the screenshots. If it's darker you probably have a road color mod.
[13SNC] Hype 17 Sep, 2018 @ 9:12am
@Urbanist: Thanks for these awesome roads! I have a question tho: For me the roads are a lot darker than the usual roads, it looks kinda weird. Is this my setup? Do you know what I can do about it?
Urbanist  [author] 2 Sep, 2018 @ 3:59am
@Dhark Thanks for your support! if I have time I'll do a version with centre lines. I can't do one-sided paths as the path will randomly flip sides.
Dhrak 29 Aug, 2018 @ 7:49pm
On another note, your two Suburban Street variations are awesome to use and am using them throughout my city. I am working on a real life city for the people of my city and one thing I notice in the real world is quite often there is only a sidewalk/footpath on only one side of the road. the other side of the road is just grass with driveways reaching the road. It would benice to therefore have variants of your 2 roads with one sided paths.
Dhrak 2 Aug, 2018 @ 1:06am
@Urbanist Thank you for making some great roads with room for parking. Would it be possible to include a version of these with the centre lines as well? All the other roads I've found are more narrow than yours so if I used the standard main roads with grass, the main roads would be narrower than these unmarked streets of yours.
BrotherFox 16 Jun, 2018 @ 4:14am
Urbanist, thank you very much for the instruction. Worked a treat.
Urbanist  [author] 7 Jun, 2018 @ 7:40am
(1 min modification) To make the road darker, expand the segments dropdown in the main window, click the only segment model which spawns a sub window, then modify the RGB values with the label "Road color" to whatever you wish. or click the color beside it to open up a color chooser.
Urbanist  [author] 7 Jun, 2018 @ 7:39am
@BrotherFox Thanks! I can't do it as it'll add another dependency and it might not be to everyone's taste. If you're willing to play around the road editor, you're welcome to modify the props and release it if you wish. To add the prop you want (it takes just 3mins), just load this road in the asset editor, expand the lanes dropdown, select one of the pedestrian lanes to open a sub window, then expand the props dropdown, then find the tree prop (called something like "green tree 01" or "Tree #2") and click it to open it. Screenshot all the settings. Now back in the props dropdown, click "new prop" and copy all the settings, then click "new prop" and a prop chooser will open - choose the prop you want. Do the same for the other pedestrian lane (the other side of the road).
Urbanist  [author] 7 Jun, 2018 @ 7:30am
@Buildist No it doesn't have an elevated model - ground only. Thought elevated roads have no parking so was too lazy to make an elevated model. In future I will make elevated/bridge/tunnel versions if it makes a lot of sense, but for this particular road I'm not sure.
BoNeZ 6 Jun, 2018 @ 3:16pm
Make the road darker?
tayswimmer88 31 May, 2018 @ 9:13pm
This is a wondeful asset. Thank you!!
Dreamineer 25 May, 2018 @ 2:42pm
Does this road have a elevated version? I tried bridging with this road and ended up with a glitchy texture. If it doesn't can you try to make an elevated version?
BrotherFox 23 May, 2018 @ 3:13am
Is it possible to incorporate DeCzaahs Wooden Tree Holding doovalacky https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=939532512&searchtext=wooden+tree similar to how your neighbourhood street uses the road planter, and thank you for these roads they make suburbia.
Urbanist  [author] 1 May, 2018 @ 5:38am
@ JASÅ DIN LILLA BÖG Sure, you can open it up in the asset editor and change the road color of the segment. I'm planning to make a slightly darker version as well; it's an easy modification.
EJMAGIC 9 Apr, 2018 @ 8:17am
i'd like it more darker is there a way to get that?
Urbanist  [author] 25 Feb, 2018 @ 9:04pm
@MrMaison If you like ramps on sidewalks, my other assets the older Neighbourhood St and the newer Brick Streets have them too! As for ramps at driveways, the only way is to unrealistically have them at regular intervals because I will not know where the house's driveways will be. I'm always experimenting with new ideas, as are the other road creators. The road editor has so many possibilities we are only finding out now, like continuous medians at junctions and different give way and traffic light nodes. I tried to integrate a cul-de-sac into the end model but it didn't work out too well...
MrMaison 24 Feb, 2018 @ 8:03pm
Wow, don't know how I missed this when it was released. Just the other day I was wishing we could make ramps on sidewalks. Now if there was only a way to make these ramps at driveways. Great job!
Urbanist  [author] 21 Feb, 2018 @ 11:41pm
@$2.20 Thanks for putting this to such great use! You've made it look 1000x better than I could have. I've been following your Youtube channel, hope you don't mind me linking to one of your videos here!
Sergih123 19 Feb, 2018 @ 9:32am
@Urbanist Thanks anyways! :D
Urbanist  [author] 18 Feb, 2018 @ 8:47pm
@sergih123 Unfortunately I can't make roads narrower than 16m as zoning still starts as if the road was 16m wide even if I make it narrower
Urbanist  [author] 18 Feb, 2018 @ 8:46pm
@monguinassassin Actually there can be a small in-built one, I think. I'll experiment and see.

Hey! I was wondering if you could make a very little one way bus lane (as little as the extended network's mod one which is around one cell wide), It'd be very usefull for my bus hubs, as the default two one-way lane is too wide :D.
monguinassassin 31 Jan, 2018 @ 11:02am
Why can't there be cul-de-sacs for dead ends, the most common features in low density neighborhoods to prevent thru traffic?
Primerib 23 Jan, 2018 @ 8:38am
Game changer. Outstanding job.

@Urbanist Yes! More Urbanist workshop submissions please!
Endoraan 10 Jan, 2018 @ 10:45am
Could you make a 4 lane version out of this? So just add 2 lanes? :steamhappy:
sebnichols 10 Jan, 2018 @ 8:46am
@Urbanist Oh wow that's a great idea! Thank you so much! Will the roads themselves be textured any differently or will there be bike lane markings? Nonetheless, I wish you all the best :)
