Or maybe I'm just foolish and being too... What would be a good word for it... presumptuous?
Probably closer to foolish.
To be fair, you've got a great setup for your mod, and probably the third highest quality armor mod I've seen, so take my critisms and rambling ons with an ounce of sodium. *Joke*
Really, it's just taste. I'm a fan of sleak, semi-glossy, metallic, riveted armor.
That isn't to say it isn't high quality, but rather it's like looking at a 4k image of a sheet of blank paper. Sure the image is high quality, and even the piece of paper may even be something high quality... But it's just a blank sheet of paper.
That is the kind of feeling I get from the Cushioned armor. It's got a lot of quality behind it, but it's very blank. It's also exactly like the texture from the old 'Carbon fiber' armor mod with some support beams tracing the edges.
If I may suggest though, Those glossy armor blocks you've made are rather rare in the SE mod list. I think if you were to flush them out at some point, they'd be pretty cool. Or perhaps if they're going to be a little nod in an armor pack like this, perhaps some conversion blocks between the 'Cushioned' style and glossy style could be pretty neat.
To be honest, I saw the glossy ones in their own pack before, and passed it by as it was a 'test mod'.
But all in all, I think if you're going to do the cushioned armor (Which in my opinion doesn't look that great.) you might consider finishing the glossy one too.
I'll keep my eye on this for now, and I really hope to see what comes up!
I honestly would love some semi-glossy or reflective looking armor. So I've got high hopes!
