stabilize isnt even a skill, so class is useless cuz u need another soldier with medkits up

I'm experiencing a bug where troopers with this class are unable to use the "stabilize" ability granted by carrying a medkit. Other Medic classes such as Specialist are unaffected.

If anyone here knows Xcom 2/Wotc's code I imagine it wouldn't be too hard to make a community patch for this mod.
If you look over at the Vanilla version of this mod's page there's a discussion with the fixed mod. it fixes the revival and stabilize issues we're having on this version. It doesn't transfer over 1:1 to WOTC tho as with most vanilla mods.
If you know how the codes work I imagine you could look over the scripts for both the fixed vanilla version and the broken WOTC and make the needed changes.
I've been trying to figure it out myself but I can't make heads or tails of this tbh :(

I think this mod may be broken. For a long time it was always my "Fifth Class", but in my current game there are problems. I am using several class mods, Disable Any Class, and the mod that is supposed to make base game classes show up more frequently. Field medic was only granted on a promotion once after about 20 promotions/rewards. And it doesn't show up in the Guerilla Tactics training menu at all.

Does anyone know how to add new rank skills for the general? This class is not bad, but inferior without skills at an additional rank.

I dont know why but i have the problem with the medic that i cannot use stabilize with it. My squad is bleeding out yet i dont get the option to use stabilize. Am i the only one with that bug?

As of 24/11/2019, I have been getting several CTD's relating to this mod on Missions, particularly when I have a Field Medic with the skill that reduces healing/wound recovery times in the Squad - I have found NO errors with Field Medic with my other 200+ Mods, but after uninstalling the game appears to function normally after.

Due to this, I suggest people to look to the Proficiency Class Pack for an updated version of the Field Medic, or the Pharmacist Class for another healing-based support.

@ATF_Coldblooded Carebare I actually looked at that mod before and didnt realize I could turn off the other classes, once I found that out earlier today, I subscribed and deactivated all but the medic. Unsubbing this one now...

IF the modder did indeed stop modding, then may I suggest a other mod that have the field medic in the mod... WOTC proficiency class pack by shiremct and see if it tickle your fancy... :steamhappy:

Medic can't revive people dazed by chosen, their medkits don't heal poison or fire. Mod's broken, probably won't ever be fixed, so thanks.

Yeah this isn't actually true because the way you set up the healing abilities mean its calling upon the mod's own MedikitHealEffectTypes array instead of X2Ability_DefaultAbilitySet's, which means that it cleanse no DOT effects like burning or the Hunter's bleeding shots, since the mod's array is left empty.

Lore friendly, useful, and outright seamless, a must have for any playthrough!

I also gotta say, I've been looking at your scripts for hours, as i have some ability ideas for a class i planned to make, and yet, i couldn't figure it out, just too much information to process without outside help, would be nice if you ever decided to make a custom ability tutorial.

I've been using this mod without problem for some time, and quite loved it until a few months ago it started crashing my campaigns, tried clean installs and it still crashes (Im guessing it got corrupted somehow) when I deleted the mod off of my mod list and tried to get it back on it doesnt seem to install it even if i subscribe and unsubscribe, anything I can do about this? I've already followed the guide and its still not showing up in my modloader

Any way we could do a custom weapon like a bacta granade launcher? Back in the day in SWG the combat medics there had one. It meant you could AE target around an injured friendly and heal them without having to run all over the map to get within heal range. Helped a lot. Since this class does not have drones, thought it may be an idea.
