I've gone through the last month and done some updates across the board adjusting almost every edit in the collection. I've added Finisher and Special moves to edits where they were missing to help fill them out. I also focused on filling out Priority slots and adding some pin sequences in addition to some adjustments to Irish Whip logic, also added some more flash pin opportunities for high flyer/technical wrestler edits.
I've done a few sweeping logic adjustments like this in the past but this should really be the last major sweeping update like this on existing edits, I'll continue to make corrections or add new edits on a case by case basis but the overall style of the edits should be up to date and something I'm happy with now.
Over the next few weeks I'm taking a quick look at all of the edits and doing some logic clean up, point adjustments and minor appearance stuff. I started with this one and finished the big sweep, WWF 85-90 is almost done and although I haven't spent enough time with DLC moves and attire to start integrating those in full, some edits will have DLC in their updates.
Point totals may continue to be adjusted as I am working with parameters and skills to get the balance I want to better separate Main Event, Mid-Card and Lower-Card edits. This game has been out a year and a half and due to edit making/sim testing/school, I haven't really spent much time just playing with the game and running my feds, so as I spend more time doing that, more adjustments will happen, but not across the board - every edit - adjustments like I am doing now.
pd1021: I had a similar intent with my jobbers, only I wanted a small window for upset on a sliding scale because guys like South and Stallion won on rare occasions more so than the Mulkeys, but the points on the first few I checked were not as low as I intended and had more pin opportunity than I wanted, so there will be some minor adjustments.
I've been out of the game a bit so I haven't really explored the new moves and edit parts that came with the DLC, so there may be attire updates or move adjustments here or there as I find stuff.
I will look into some alt attires, I know some edits do have the same attire with different hair which was intended to get the different time period appearances.
Example: Ole Anderson's 2nd and 3rd attire are the same and Dusty Rhodes' first and second attire are the same w/ long hair and his 3rd and 4th attires are the same just w/ short hair.
Having fun simulating in between watching this era on the network.....GOOD STUFF.
There is nothing drastic, but I tweaked logic and adjusted some early pin attempts, after the priorities expanded I went too far for my liking by linking every pin to a priority, so I've made some adjustments there. The effect of this will be getting back to 15-20 min matches for most edits on average.
I also adjusted some skin tones, most of my edits were too pale and I gave more edits a tan to better reflect their real life counterpart.
I also added some headlocks and hip tosses, and this type of updating will continue as things come up, but I'm about to sim some tournaments and if the matches are working as intended these big sweeping type of updates will not be again :D
I'm serious, can't have a promotion without low carders.
Howdy, thanks again for all these.
As I keep playing with them I'll do any balancing/adjusting as needed, and correct any errors that I may have missed but they should be good to go.
I think there will be one more update around this size to finish out this roster. I'm doing a WCW update next then I will be back to finish up this collection :) Once the roster is complete I will do a points balance and logic pass and continue to add wrestlers that I may have missed.
You are too kind but I am happy you like the updates :D
Each edit should have an association with a song or the 'no entrance' mp3 tag, check the individual edit's page for details.
I'll clean up any misses or spelling errors over the week, and next weekend I should have a fairly sizable NWA/Jim Crockett update ready to go on Saturday, and all edits going forward will have an .mp3 designation upon release. :D
Since there were more than a few wrestlers from this era that did not use entrance music, I'm using a 2 minute silence track titled _No Entrance Music.mp3 , so if you see an edit with this as it's mp3 tag then you know they didn't use music.
These should be updated by the end of the weekend, I'm adding mp3 support to my upcoming edits right now as well so going forward on this collection the edits will have mp3 support at release.
If I miss anyone or I have someone tagged without music that used it then just let me know and I can make adustments. :)
Ok I've been busy so if any edits need adjusting/fixing just let me know :D
