Alright alright so now, that really should be good! I created the two missing folders and I put everything as you said. Now we should be done. Thanks for your help (Nikolai and Sceeker). I'll see you in my next lotpack... probably. xD

The good news is, is that you're very close. You do have all the correct files, you just need to add two more small files, and then place the files you already have inside them.

With the exception of the .jpg image, the VTCarShop folder and VTCarShop.txt files need to be placed in a "Russian Nesting Doll" of files that look like:

lots/packs/

so the final path, when I take both files individually, will look like:

/lots/packs/VTCarShop(folder with the .lot file)
/lots/packs/VTCarShop.txt

The .jpg file can be left where it is and does not go inside the cluster of files.

Also, I'm not 100% on this, but the very first digit of the string in the .txt file, I think needs to be a 0 and not a 1. Everything else looks correct!

Great job!

Well... a friend of mine saw the problem and helped me to solve it. Apparently it was just some small errors in the .txt of my lotpack (like no value in the popbase instead of a 0 and stuff like that) and misplacements of folders. Anyway, try to subscribe to the lotpack now and tell me if everything works fine, and thanks again for your help too, I must fix a small thing now and it should be good!

Hmmm... I tried to redownload, but the problem still seems to be that it is as you said, and I just have the .lot file. My immediate guess is that it *might* be something to do with the upload.txt file. I know there's a blank template somewhere around the discussion section that works, and you could try to upload like that again, refilling in the general information. Just use the item id in the top instead of a 0. Also, just try to make sure that when you put stuff in the Upload Folder, create a general folder like Car Shop and then have your directory like:

Car Shop/lots/packs/Carshop
Car Shop/lots/packs/Carshop.txt

If that does not work, I would recommend going to Snapper (Create a Discussion). Beyond that, I'm not sure what to make of a running forever issue, because according to the changelog in the top, there was no updating.

Did you try running both the vtclient.exe alongside the Steam "Play game" at the same time while uploading?
Shiinyei  [author] 5 Jan, 2018 @ 3:57pm
Well it seems I have another problem : the files won't update for some reason.
When I open vtclient.exe to update them I have the message that my files are being uploaded and updated on the workshop but when I close the .exe Steam marks it as "Running" forever... I just hope it's not because of that the files won't update.

Alright, I updated every file, hopefully that will works now!
Thanks a million for your help, I was totally lost with the lotpack txt file and some parts of the upload.txt (especially for the "Mod_Directory_Name_Here").
Tell me if everything works now but that should be good, I followed every step of your messages and General Curmudgeon's video (thanks to him too).
Thanks again and goodbye. :D Have fun on the wonderful world of Voxel Turf!

This is a pretty good comprehensive video on how to upload lots to the workshop!

Good luck!

once there, you should be able to find the item id. You can use that to get the basic file structure for how to upload the lotpack. I would recommend downloading a commerce lot, so that you can sort of see how those text files will wind up being, (since I believe you want this lot to be commercial in nature). Eventually you'll notice the text files, which the ending string means this. I'll attach a recommendation if you just want to copy that over

id ; filename ; lot_name ; building_type ; employees ; Base cost multiplier ; Profit Multiplier ; res ; popbase ; res_subcat ; special_effect (like never used) ; author ; Zones / Options

Which, when you make the carshop.txt file, my own recommendation would look something like:

LOTPACK
Car Shop
0
1
carshop
0 ; carshop ; Car Shop ; COMMERCE ; 30 ; 1.0 ; 1.0 ; SERV ; 1000 ; Cars ; ; Shiinyei

1) download a different lotpack from the workshop, and pay close attention to the item ID of said item. This can be viewed by looking near the top of the steam workshop page. For instance, this page is: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1254858697&searchtext=
Once you have the id number down, and the lotpack downloaded, use your file exporer to go toward:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\404530\

I'm going to write this in parts:

Hey, sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the lot did not upload properly to the Workshop. If you want an example on how to structure your files so that you may upload this, I would suggest either:
