This is a really nice design. I enjoy symmetry :) This will be my next build after the wipe. I'll post screengrabs once it's done

//Neon Green\\ try to place the roof before you place the frame, and if that dont work it might have been pached or i might have missed something in the design. as this is an old post and i have not realy tried it out in game since i posted it, hope that this was the answer you wanted/looked for :)

even tho i have not uppdated this artice as I was going to, but to answer your post //magic chicen// I like your base design and the layout itself. its a clearly worth a sub, and if i howerver post anything more in the future it will most likely be a 3-4 man base with some kind of mixed concept from my own design and yours aswell since yours is more "effectiveness over looks" and mine the other way arournd, so a mix between thees could play out both effective and pretty to look at.

I took a stab at the "Clan Fortress" concept awhile ago. It doesn't have quite your flare for design, but it has supreme utility. Doorways leading into the base cost just as much as walls, so its equal amount of cost from all directions (even vertically). It includes all the fixings you'd want in a big clan base. It also utilizes the multi-TC approach... which actually DOES lower the cost by reducing the rate at which it's taxed. More importantly, you can fill up a TC for a long time, and not have to refill it every few hours. Hopefully you'll get some ideas for your next design.

//magic chicken\\ im working making the base more suiteble for vanilla and will most likely redo some major changes to make it as suiteble for vanilla, tho this might take some time so be patient but i promise i WILL uppdate this workshop article to suit vanilla.

You would have to do some serious trickery and pre-placement to get seperate TCs. If just one wall or roof connects, the build IDs will join, and break one of your TCs. Also, you'd have to go outside the range of the last wall to place another TC, meaning you'd have to place the TCs before filling in the honey comb.

These things are not impossible, but not with the build plan you show

to answer some of your questions about the badly placed loot room and the
ridiculously high upkeep cost, here are some answers for ya:

where i placed the loot is comleatly optional, one could just replace the large furnace with loot and put the furance outside the base for an example.

and about the upkeep, you can create some spaceing between the honeycomb and the corridors, basicly create diffrent zones and give each one there own TC, this will on the other hand not change the total upkeep cost but it enables you to focus more on specific parts of the base since if the resources run out, the entire base wont crumble at the same time.

more screenshots will be added soon.

nice upkeep
Coop 9 Jan, 2018 @ 1:05pm
lol loot is completly exposed on the top

i'm probably completely wrong, but you can just build a little tower right next to the base, jump in and walk to the middle lootroom right?

that being said, it really looks amazing though!

You can actually run this on vanilla, you just need to split the base up into several tcs
Jar Head  [author] 8 Jan, 2018 @ 6:15am
im working on a smaller and more vanilla friendly base, im just a bit low on ideas at the moment but more vanilla is comming
Depressed Koala 7 Jan, 2018 @ 4:40pm
