i was tried 3 and then 5 and vanilla attack slots. But with my real experience in swordfighting 2 slots is ONLY real thing. Enemies have angle of their blades attack, and will too. To prevent blades collision and harm allies, and for some cozy reasons only 2 attacks is possiblle at one time in real life. Same for backward attack.

Thank you so much for this mod

I definitely found slots 3+ to be too easy as once you turn the tide of numbers your forces obliterate everything in moments. This seems the best compromise to me.

Vannila game is 1vs1. But it can look like two or more are attacking at the same time. As you will notice that only one attack would land at a time.

This mod opens that limitation to 2 can land at the same time.

In the vanilla game, I have observed a single character getting hit by several enemies at once already. How is this gonna be different?
Hatsune Neko Gaming  [author] 20 Apr, 2021 @ 12:49pm
there is none.
MadLicorice 20 Apr, 2021 @ 9:04am
Hey Hatsune, is there a way of knowing when this is enabled vs not, other than carefully observing simultaneous attacks? Just trying to ascertain if turning this on and off is working without imports.

Import your save

I installed this and its the last thing in the load order but I still have 5 enemies swinging at the same time against me. is there any way to completely force the game to use only 2 attack slots?
Hatsune Neko Gaming  [author] 8 Mar, 2021 @ 2:33pm
And what does that have to do with my mod?
Devs don't look here. So your posting in the wrong area.

against 5 or more opponents the pc just stands there blocking, goto the crater and have a 10 man squad just stand there surrounded by beakthings for hours...really shows the weaknesses of the combat engine.

I'm Having fun with small personal squads and large npc ones and I've found that when the battle is in my favor it grinds to a halt from the 1x. thanks for the mod.

The most realistic one honestly, ai in the game literally swing free and fucking obliterate your character if you have too many slots open. 1 and 3-5 slots are pretty unrealistic, this is by far the best..
Legion 10 Feb, 2020 @ 6:26pm
This one is fairly mediocre. Doesn't provide proper challenge as expected. Time to try to others.
Hatsune Neko Gaming  [author] 14 Sep, 2019 @ 5:59pm
if you have reservations then dont use it. stay with default 1x
Skrymaster 14 Sep, 2019 @ 3:18pm
I know, that's why I asked if it's safe for world-states. The initial way the game is balanced, status quo is generally preserved without player intervention. This mod I feel might mess that up.
Hatsune Neko Gaming  [author] 14 Sep, 2019 @ 3:08pm
it increases the amount each person can attack or be attacked by, this includes NPC vs NPC
Skrymaster 14 Sep, 2019 @ 2:13pm
Is it even world-state-safe to install this or the x3/xmore combat slots mods? The 1 combat slot also kinda acts as a prevention method of sorts so weak hostiles can't beat stronger "guard" units.
For example: Would Mongrel be able to fend off fogmen assaults if the guards could and would systematically get KO-ed and eaten? I wouldn't want to get a mod that allows cities to potentially get overrun and destroyed after my first visit, without anything I could've done to prevent it.

Excited to try this out. Thanks so much for all the work you do - not just moderating the forums, but producing some excellent mods as well!
Hoax 12 Mar, 2019 @ 8:33pm
x2 is the best imo.
CHR3S 28 Feb, 2019 @ 6:42am
Can you make a preview?
Hatsune Neko Gaming  [author] 9 Feb, 2019 @ 5:48pm
allows for simultaneous attacks
Amber Dragonlord 9 Feb, 2019 @ 5:38pm
Right now in game it seems like you can still attack things with multiple characters, they just don't hit it at the same time, and, though I'm not sure on this, it seems like it might divide the attack time between them. Does this mod just allow for simultaneous attacks, or does it also affect combat speed with multiple characters?
Bunnuh'Bun 6 Jan, 2019 @ 11:21am
@angelus for that specific reason most people prefer using the nexus over steam workshop. Adjustments and override ordering lets you decide the end result of a pile of mods.
Baleur 3 Jan, 2019 @ 11:18am
Angelus open the mod in the mod editor (by clicking Play in steam, then choosing the mod tool) and click on the "Changes" button, find the attack slot entry and remove it, re-save the mod. Done =)
Hatsune Neko Gaming  [author] 3 Jan, 2019 @ 8:08am
i do not have a way of doing that.
Angelus 3 Jan, 2019 @ 7:44am
i know its a wierd request but could you do a Attack Slots x1 mod? :/
Some overhalls change it to x5 or something like that but i want to keep it vanilla style :/

Baleur 2 Jan, 2019 @ 6:17am
Thank you, i love this. Better than vanilla, but not too crazy.
Makes sense that even allies would be a "little" careful when attacking the same guy, so 2 at once seem reasonable to me, but not 5 xD

Good Mods sir!
