I'm unlikely to try and get it working myself, I think it'd require rebuilding the mod from the ground up. But anyone else is welcome to have a crack at it.

The method I used I only ever got to work on vanilla weapons: I never managed to edit the SMGs.

As for having another go at it, I'm not sure it'd be worth it now. Official laser weapons come out in two days and I'd be surprised if Primary Pistols doesn't add support for them in short order.

So saying I find the entity, is this something I can change via .ini files or does it require the mod kit? Or can I ask a favor and can you look into it? :-)

This mod only overwrites the vanilla weapon entities. I'd assume the primary pistol is a custom weapon entity.

Having a bit of an issue and I'm pulling my hair out trying to figure what's causing it. I'm using Primary Secondaries and the Dual Wield Pistols mod. The secondary pistol upgrades to laser, but the primary upgrades to mag. It doesn't seem to be pulling the proper image/model/etc. Any idea as to what I need to do to fix this, or what might be causing this?

Mechanically it changes the appearance of the mag weapons. If you want mag weapons and laser weapons together the original mod this mod is a patch for will do that.

It would be great to find a way for all 5 weapons to be togheter as 5 tiers, where Plasma is not the last one (unpopular design), the last one should be either the Laser or the Coilgun (depending if somebody wants to go 3projectiles->Plasma->Laser or 2vanilla-projectiles->Laser->Plasma->Coilgun).

@GreatOldOne This mod won't change them since Coil and Laser guns don't exist for the factions since Long War was made before the expansion.

I hear that the community attempting to port LW to WOTC are considering making them though so there is a chance that this mod will be updated with them if their made.

If I stayed with 3, I would replace the plasma with the coil guns and keep it all to projectiles.

Both are doable although with that many variants it'd properly be worth doing a general version with a config file so people can reskin whichever tier they want.

I have a request: Can you do a Tier 1 replacer with the magnetic weapons?
With the plasma and magnetic replacers what are in the workshop:
Magnetic - Laser - Coil -----> It would be very good.

This turns the XCOM magnetic weapons into laser weapons. If you'd prefer Laser weapons as a tier of their own NStriker's mod (listed as a requirement) will do that.
