Just made the smallgrid drone prototype with your Vertigo system, 100m turrets (gatling + rockets) and it worked just like yours!
Tried to hide my line-GravDrive powered The Knight behind it the save zone is enough to hide 4 of them with the open-attack line on the enemy!
That means There is the possability to use 1-2 drones to cover any ship!
Even 6 drones for each side to cover every side of the ship!
If I'll have the time I'll add antenna commands on my grav-drive autopilot script to command grav-drive powered drones to cover my fleet!
So cool!

Hey! That Vertigo system is perfect!
So the game Turrets AI just use velocity to calculate where will be the target and shoots there.
But decoys in your system are sub-grids and act like separate grid that have extra velocity = RPS of the rotor that is rotated faster by 4 gyroscopes. And I belive that pistons don't jsut separate the decoy but make the arm that adds "lag" to make sure RPS velocity has been applied!
Well done. Like it ) Did you invent it yourself?

Two weeks ago I tested this exact blueprint on server and it worked flawlessly.

@jura7 On February 2nd artemyevrus said rotor requires changes to work on server, and rotation has to be changed to half speed. Also, because of multiple grid the back part has to be made separate- how do you join them together once you make both projections? I don't understand the steps accurately (if I need to grind and replace blocks or change program code??)

After seeing your post about replacing piston rotors and removing rotors on sleeves I would like a little clarification.. I don't understand what that means exactly? I'm not very familiar with rotors or what you call sleeves.

@FockeWulfe190-A-4 The rotor requires some changes to work on the server. It is necessary to replace the piston rotors pulling the decoy forward. It looks scary. Everything thunders and sparks but works. To increase stability, it is necessary to remove the rotors on the sleeves and reduce the speed of rotation of the rotor by half. The safety angle will be halved in return for increased stability. If you go to the end you can remove the rear rotor and rotate the entire body at half speed. But one thing. I don't know how to privite chat soo... Do you mean just attach the spinner on the front of the ship? Then how to I use foward facing weapons such as grav torpedos or missile launchers? So to sumerize how do I use this without having a 1 block section on my ship while still being able to use weapons on a larger ship?

Actually, I can dive into the programming and make the changes I'd like myself. I'm no expert, but these tasks would be simple enough. Just thought I'd share my opinion, as these are things that I feel would be an improvement.

Vertigo needs parking upgrade. Now it`s timer based system.
The dampers are replaced by the brake system for straight flights. In my version on the panel button 1 is worth the group brake to turn on/off.
Trembling of the hull is caused by excess thrust. this does not cause me any difficulties, but it allows me to understand that the system is working.

I gotta say, I love it. Though there are a couple things that could be improved upon pretty easily with the programming.

1st, the dampeners. If the G-drive is on, but you're "Idling", it kind of stutters in place. If you were to make the Programmable block check the ships current speed, and if it's less than, lets say 1, do not use the G-drive and let the thrusters hold it steady, it would remove the stutter. Down side is when you tried to move from a stand still, they would stay offline until you reach that speed, but it wouldn't be long. (Also, having it toggle would help, and wouldn't be a hard fix)

Second, you could use the programmable block to engage/disengage the Veritgo system all in one button, and when disengaging, lock the rotor in it's horizontal state.

Is it not enough? And no. Vertigo is not just spinning decoys. 6 months of searching, form, concept, subgrid configuration. Huge amount of testing, brainsturm. You see just the top of all work.
