dab on the haters
Take your pick.
Yeah. Memes started to die a LOT quicker from that point on. People get tired of memes in record time today; memes die quicker. You know why, exactly, memes die quicker today? Mass overuse in contexts that don't work out for the meme. In the case of Ugandan Knuckles, people would just comment "do u know de wae" in EVERY comment section, no matter how irrelevent it is to the media in question. That's why that meme died within the month it was born in-- because they killed it. Because people don't know when to give it a fucking break. Everyone needs to understand that 1) not all old memes are dead ones, and that 2) context is key. If it has no working, logical context, it is therefore not a real joke. If it is not a real joke, it is probably not funny. Those two things are important to keeping memes alive, rather than killing them off because we're tired of them.
that's nostalgia for ya
You should've named it something more unique. There's a reason in the US Copyright laws you can't copyright simple words like "phone", "zen", "apple".
That's why AMD had to change their architecture name publicly from Zen to RyZen so it could be copyrighted. You can't have this person remove their map because you failed to come up with a name.
