ahh i see, i ended up adding guns but on small perch like spots off the sides. I figure the height will help the guns score headshots and that most aliens probably are not fast/strong enough to get close enough to find a blind spot.

I have not had much issue with promethium but maybe im just getting lucky. im still new and my second game i landed on top of 3 promethium ore deposits but had to travel 600m to find iron and copper.

You're free to make your own concept. Mine is made from iron because for RP purposes, it's supposed to have been dropped along with the escape pods... and solar powered so it can be used right away even if the player has not found promethium- which is much harder to come across in 8 that ever before. The lack of turrets is intentional as terrain cannot be predicted, I assume the user is smart enough to know how to link blocks to the base via the "N" menu and set them up as they need. The ammo box is provided to expedite that.

Is it ok if i try to redesign the survival pod. I will turn over the BP to you as my modifications are minimal but i think that a 2 spots for small turrets, larger storage, and including of a fuel based generator are all much needed improvements. I already have a design im happy with that is nearly identicle just with a few things shifted around. looks less appealing but gains overall effectiveness since it can run 24/7 now and the turrets provide decent protection when nearby.

I also changed the pod's frame into cement since stone is super easy to make and i feel iron is a bit to valuable to drop into the frame of a seemingly temporary pod.

It's your work, post it if you wish. I don't mind if you link to the collection with an "inspired by" or something, but even though I'd toyed with similar ideas, I won't be recreating yours. I'm not doing anything in Empyrion right now... wasn't happy with the devs removing the oxy/hyro gens instead of fixing the stacking problem that was the actual issue, and after seeing "suit constructors" coming, I decided I had to walk away at least for a while before my stupid meter went into overload...

Okay, this was a learning curve of firsts for me, hope everything works. I attempted to create a youtube video of the tower and also uploaded a few screen shots, both things I have never done before, keeping my fingers crossed it works. Hope you like and if you do really looking forward to seeing how you recreate it.

I love your designs and use them all the time, thank you for these. I have also designed and built a defense tower to go along with these two based on your designs and wanted to share it with you but did not want to post it on the workshop as I used your design not my own.
