gotcha, nice work. I've had many suggest to make painable unsuals and im like, "kill me"

Yes, it would require the developement team to fully implement it. We have only supplied the visual aspects.
Muhai 6 Feb, 2018 @ 3:50pm
wouldnt this need to be a coded feature?

this kind of reminds of this VERY BRIEF period of time where the cow mangler could actually be painted, it was removed for whatever reason, and nowadays only like, 10 of these painted cow manglers exist today

and just for that memory i would love to see this in game, where i can create the ultimate thing from... paints on a war paint... (this workshop gets wierder everyday)

They would have a default color, the default color for this war paint is a silver-grey.
Rancho Relaxer 19 Jan, 2018 @ 12:45pm
Small question, would paintable warpaints come in team-colors by default?

Paints on War Paint...

Just saying that seems a bit odd, but this idea is far from it.
I could just imagine this concept having options on which part of the weapons to paint that allow for multiple paints to be applied to one weapon e.g. Barrel, Stock, Scope, Blade, Handle etc.

Reguardless of wether or not that happens, I would love to see this idea shine.

There are gonna be a fuckton of exploits wherein other war paints may be paintable, resulting in an influx of glitched items. Y'know, it's the Valve way.

This is genius.
Yes absolutley.

Thank you all!

I love this idea! It's stylish! :steamhappy: I understand the comments about the cost of paint, but honestly, I'd be very happy to buy paints if they could be used on war paint!

This feels like the levelution of skins sucking the money from TF2. AND I LOVE IT!

Seriously, a glance told me this was a dumb gimmick, but it genuinely looks great on the more detail-centric weapons. Obvious flaws of the Air Strike's smaller notice of paint addition are there for sure, but that Knife, that Shotgun!

Having such contrast with a white base is simply fantastic to the eye. Plus the design keeps it interesting without it becoming excessively busy in it's color scheme. 2 :thumb::thumb: Up

What does this really add to TF2? The painted details are tiny anyway.

It's just more bloat in the game files.
FailBucket  [author] 14 Jan, 2018 @ 4:42pm
I can see the sketicism, but I'm sure Valve would have no issue implementing an idea like this if they wanted.
ガーフィールド 14 Jan, 2018 @ 4:22pm
I am generally sceptical to this idea, for multiple reasons in fact.

Let's say i want all of my primary classes stock weapons painted Mann Co. Orange and some Muskellbraun, then i'd need to buy loads of the paints, which will cost naturally loads of ref for f2ps.

That's my first reason and here's my second.
It would be kind of time consuming to implement a feature like this in game. Not only to make it paintable, but also doing team recog painting on it so it can recognize the teams if a team-coloured paint is used.

Thank you :)

Simple design, unique concept, not too flashy, very nice. I hope to see a few more warpaints like this, keep up the good work.
BossBTL 14 Jan, 2018 @ 2:41pm
why do i feel like this is going to be a one time thing

valve will add a bunch of paintable war paints for one update, then we never see any paintable war paints again

not because people arent making them

but because valve only does gimmicks once
FailBucket  [author] 14 Jan, 2018 @ 2:12pm
You are right. I agree this is not something that every war paint moving forward should use. Thanks for your feedback :)
Ryuga_Knight 14 Jan, 2018 @ 2:09pm
It's an interesting Idea for sure, although I don't think ALL war paints should have this option, though I can imagine some who would greatly benefit from it.
FailBucket  [author] 14 Jan, 2018 @ 1:54pm
It's a war paint, war paints do not have compatibility options unfortunately.
BossBTL 14 Jan, 2018 @ 1:50pm
i dont see a gold star

Thanks :D
