Great mod and just trying it for the first time
Other than that, I think they are pretty cool in terms of their bonuses and abilities, but I'm unsure on what victory type they are best suited for, as they feel quite focused on defence and culture, rather than outright conquest via a Domination Victory.
As far as I can tell, they've got 2 big advantages from their unique traits.
1: Being able to blaze through the Civic Tree thanks to their UU, UD, UDP and LUA.
2: Getting tons of Great Generals and being tough to invade thanks to the Dog Soldier and the Generals.
I'm up for hearing tips and advice from others regarding the civ, in case there's anything I'm missing, though.
me too
I have played this mod to Gunpowder on Immortal in RF my thoughts:
- When you start out all Civs dislike you. Seen this on another mod also.
- Not much going on until you hit swordsman/dog soldier. Then the mod kicks in with the Great General and culture points. I took over my nearest neighbors civ and had two Great General's by the time I got Gunpowder.
- I did build a few of the UBs and did not find them overpowered.
Overall: A fun mod especially if you want to run a late early age war and you can fight your way through the other civs
(previous posting) OP: )Civ is now less OP)....nerf: (due to a nerf) UA and UD: end of sentence.
