Since Equatorial Shipyards are no longer present in Utopian Dream, you may want to put a disclaimer on here.

Probably? When I was talking with AlphaAsh about this, he didn't seem to wish to incorportate the patch as part of the core mod, for aesthetic reasons. I have not tested it though.

yes, it overrides the "ring_shipyard.txt" file located under "common/megastructures"
