[2]SearchMe is correct. Amsterdam doesn't have 6.7million people as you say: "Amsterdam is the sixth largest city in Europe with a population of 6.7 million". This 6.7 million is the Randstad, which is way more than only Amsterdam. The Randstad includes Amsterdam, Haarlem, The Hague, Rotterdam, Utrecht and some more smaller cities within the Randstad. In total the 6.7 million live in 21 cities. The description is not correct.

Though one remark with your description. The entire Amsterdam area has only 1,5 million inhabitants and the city itself only 860.000. The entire Randstad area has close to 7 million though
