Of course I tried to re-install several times...
Or, since the author has long abandoned his work, one of the modders will take over and update this great mod?
The mod worked fine...... they simply blocked any mod not using the updated devkit, even if the mod itself was still fine, like this one. WAS freaking fine. Funcom simply blocked it outright 100% for no good reason.
And I doubt we'll be getting an update. It's been years
Could use an update but since its still working, hooray
I did remove it anyway (restored a backup) because it felt 'laggier' than prior to placing it, but this is purly perceptional bias, as it is/was hard to tell from the 15-25 fps caused by the castle - of the usual 60 I have on empty lands.
So the drums are fine, so is the candle on a 2nd test.
Not sure why it crashed the first time... :confused:
On a side note, just uploaded a video to YT that had parts of the brothel FX got marked -as it is copyrighted.
Not sure how good others will be able to see it.
Just thought I'd share.
* belly dancer
* derketo whispers
* dungeon
* borthel
* haybal market (cant recall wether north or south)
sounds seems to be fine...
...I did have issues with the:
* stygian bar drums
* brighter candle icon, dont recall the name
Saying, I know for certain that the Belly Dancer sound is 100% crash free.
Everything else in the 'seems fine' sectionwithstood 10 mins of gameplay until I placed the 'bugy' ones.
The bugy ones acted as follows, the "brighter candle icon" (most left) causd a short game freeze of about 5 secs, but it settled right after. The "Stygian Bar drum" however played the sound as long not placed, as the others, but the game immediatly froze and ended in a crash a minute later.
This mod is awesome, already fav'ed!
I keep it fav'ed since it generaly does not cause a crash, unless you want to place a 'buggy' sound fx. And I have to do some testing on the other 'seems fine' sounds.
Again, thank you for creating and sharing!
Please fix this, i dont like delete this wonderful mod
It would be great if the author could update the mod, it has some fantastic ambient sounds and is a favourite.
The levels on your sound files are inconsistent and sometimes, too loud. In the UK the legal streaming/broadcasting limit for sound is 12db.
I was wondering if it would be possible to have the music attach it's self to the music channel so there is some kind of volume control?
And give life at my market place in town. :)
