can you do that to normal hats and equipments as well. some of them will be destroyed and some of them not when you headshot they will fly off from his head to the ground, depends on if your bullets went through the hat or not. or if it is hard to do that you can add as a chance factor.

Just to make aware. this mod will effect any event handler on position HEAD. It will overide them.

The blood effects are very over the top lol. But the sparks and helmet + nvd destruction is nice.

Blastcore Murr tones down the spark effects though. :jake::steamthumbsup:

@Cmdr.Foran I don't think it makes any sense to use Bullet_Hits. It's all and even more there in Blastcore and Real Engine mods. Goko Ballistic Impact works just as well with them.

This mod is awesome, though my effects look very different in game from the video though. Is that a matter of needing to tweak things in the files to get it look like that? I tried running arma with just this loaded and it's still quite different

@travolta Good day! Could you tell if the user has a chance to live to see any update of this mod? This mod is one of my favorites, but how it seems to me it lacks some settings. Personally, I would like to see a setting for the amount of particles in the headshot effect. Game settings will not affect this. The following omissions:

a) a hat on a dead body will not be destroyed in the same way as a helmet.
c) when hit in the head, there is no blood puddle near the head.

Please don't forget this mod, keep working on it!

Although I like this mod a lot, the fact it seems to trigger insta kills on headshots in ace is a little offputting, especially when fighting against enemies with buckshot, as a singular round from half a mile away will blast off the headpiece AND kill the player instantly.

@getoutI tried to reduce the particles in game setting to PARTICLES/ STANDARD but still I see a lot of particles. Looks like game settings don't affect your mod. Please try creating a setting inside your mod

@getout your mod is one of the best mods for Arma3. At least that's how it looks to me. The only detail I don't like is the amount of particles when hitting the head (helmet). Everytime, when bullet hits in the helmet of soldiers and kill them, I'm see huge numbers of sparks in NVG player vision. There are too many sparks! Each such hit looks like New Year's fireworks and, unfortunately, it does not look realistic. In game settings, PARTICLES I use value HIGHT. This works great for all visual effects, including the Blastcore mod, however the PARTICLES/HIGHT value is probably too high for your mod. Or in general, there is no relationship between this game setting and your mod. I have to ask you. Please add the ability to set the number of particles for the user of your mod. It would be great! The player could customize everything to their liking. Thank you!

I suggest everyone goes through the individual effects, as "gokoBI_particleFX_bloodCough" is excellent, it's an upwards spray about the size of the persons head. "gokoBI_particleFX_UpNDown" is the one everyone dislikes, it is around double the length of a humans body and stays in the air for 5 seconds. "gokoBI_particleFX_bloodSpray3" is also around 3 times the width of a person, so can be removed. "gokoBI_particleFX_bloodSpray2" is also very large, I edited it to be small, but can be removed if you don't know how.
By removing these effects you can customise the mod to be still unrealistic, but without blood balloons.
It's easy to keep this mod updated and worthwhile for everyone.

@ringo It's okay man no need to gaslight, there's nothing wrong with that part of the work, it's just not to most peoples taste as Arma is a realistic game, no shame whatsoever. Because people like and want to use the mod (because it's good) but don't want the extreme blood effects, there's a great solution that I pointed out. Those blood effects would be good as they are for Warhammer mod users btw!

The blood effects are extremely offputting in every way, but you can easily delete the PBO. If you're wondering what they are like, they are larger than the size of the persons body.

Hi @GÖKO, The new name looks much better! Sometimes I see too much dispersion of sparks when a bullet hits the helmet. For some reason, in some specific maps (for example, Zargabad) sometimes the number of sparks reaches a triple multiplier! It sometimes looks like fireworks, too unrealistic. I don’t know how it can be connected with a map. Could you reduce the amount of sparks a bit, especially over long distances? It seems to me that there is no LOD (level of detalisation) of hit sparks, the same effect is present at any distance. It would be good, if you created several LODs, for different distances, or at least give the player at least some settings for FX density.

I found this mod and think this was a wonderfull find. I tested it in my teste server, killed some AI units with KSVK (CUP Weapons) and with a Navid, and i don't got the helmet trow animation. The helmet trow animation is still working? It's the best part of the mod for me.

Thanks a lot, again, for through feedback and for your kind words @mickeyworld to be fair and honest with you Mickey, I have created this mod for my own curiosity with one idea in mind: accuracy should be rewarded. Me or you or another, the player, wants to be rewarded after headshot. In all other games, we get different feedback for headshot frag. A headshot counts always in other games, always. A different icon, sound, visual, effects, a different information feeds you when you hit the bullseye. It makes you (the player) feel rewarded, so this mod was a must have for me in Arma. You aim, lead and shoot the target, according to your gear (weapon velocity etc), and you precisely aim the head, you NEED some feedback if you succeed. Something... a feedback at least. This was my idea for creating. Simple yet so required. Few lines of code. That's why I said "far from it-not even close" in "the best" arma mods because I gotta humble myself, this is why I created this mod as secondary.

@göko9k "not even close" - no, this is really so. Your mod is not big, but very original. The player can damage his NVG and at the same time remain alive in the middle of the night! There is no such feature in any A3 mods. Most A3 mods for me, have two sides - there is a good part and there is a bad part at the same time. But in "Goko Ballistic Impact" all is well, not of annoying details. Thank you again! It is a pity that you stopped and did not develop your mod further. For example, I would dream to see damage to optics on a A3 primary weapons or a system that allows body armor to withstand a larger number of bullets (more than three hits), with a random amount. Also some visual effects could be added, for example broken helmet on the ground (3D model) etc. But even if you never do all this, I already say thank you for the wonderful addition to Arma3!
