I think that sometimes happens with any skin, I wish I knew how to fix that, but all I can recommend is to disable some mods that could be suspected as ones that are messing with the skin mod.

Are player skins the only thing that can be manipulated with mods?
I'm willing to bet that you could replace most every file in this game with something different through Steam workshop support. Is that true?
