I would like to report an issue. This mod works fine for the Byzantines, but it changed the Saracen monastery from a mosque to an Orthodox Church, and some of their houses into the desert tents of The African Kingdoms. The Turks didn't have the same problem. Only the Saracens.

Well, it would be great if this architecture was becoming part of the original game one day, in order to be available for the multiplayer games too. Excelent work and spectacular result.

PS:
I have to report that the following walls aren't complete yet and have the default skin:

- Stone Wall, when severely damaged (short & tall versions).
- Fortified Wall, when lightly & moderately & severely damaged (short & tall versions).
- Fortified Wall Gate, the section above the iron bars.

the problem is they are too big... doesnt feel like they part of the game... most architecture mods have this problem building too big or too tall...

When this is finally done, will this be ported for the Turks and Byzantines? This would fit historically and would be a wonderful addition.

Uh, hello mister Catbarf.

Can you please re-upload the origonal version? I like this one very much for the Byzantians, but the origonal version just felt right for the turks. See, I'm using the IA mod and have made almost every civ in game match their historic counterparts (more or less) and it's a pain that the Turks have to currently share the Byzantian buildings.

Could you please make an IA version of origonal build set just for the Turks?

You need to talk to Catbarf exclusivly about it. Besides creating a port for IA, which is what this mod is, the Byzantine Architecture is pretty much 100% Catbarfs property, so I can't grant permission.

Justed updated this mod with the recently added Keep. The early versions of the Fortified Walls are not included at the moment. I'm going wait a bit on that.

Until the Delevopers implement a system like IA into the original Dataset, through IA or a similar DAT mod is the best I or the community can do to make it Multiplayer compatable.

This mod is just updated with the recently added Imperial University. I'm also experimenting with Animated Flags, such as the ones in the AoK Universities, to see how it's recieved by the original author and the public.

That's more of a question for Catbarf himself since I can't really answer that question besides "When it's done".

@ Chibchaazul - The reason why the Towers beyond Watch Tower and Fortified Walls uses the original Middle Eastern Design rather than just using the Watch Tower and Stone Walls, like I did with the other buildings is because it is significantly more important for players to know if the Tower is stronger or if the Wall is fortified compared to the other buildings. Basically, they have a much bigger impact on the gameplay than knowing if the Dock is actually in Castle Age or the TC is actually in Imperial.

I'd love to see the completion of this mod, I mean the fortified wall, the byzantine castle and some buildings in imperial age, just like catbarf mentioned and posted with pictures in a page for age of empires 2 mods. Do you have any news when is he planning to do so?

@ protectorarchangel - Turks still uses the original SLP ID's in Independent Architecture, so standard graphic mods that affect the Middle Eastern Buildings in the default HD Dataset will only affect the Turks. If you have Catbarfs original mod activated, then that will change the Turks to use the Byzantine Buildings as well.

You just need to disable to original mod (https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1268737660) , then you will only have the Byzantine Buildings with the Byzantines.

@ bdonaghu - That is the plan.

It doesn't change anything with Turks. I used the first mod to change Byzantines, It did indeed but changed also Turks and made them look like Byzantines. I used this mod to return Turks back to their casual architecture, but nothing. Turks and Byzantines have still the same architecture for some reason. Am I doing something wrong?

It should be possible, since the game appears to use Sprites. I'm not familiar with the game itself though, so I won't know how hard or easy it would be to get them properly.

Slavs in IA uses a dedicated SLP set from the Magyars, so the original mod will not work correctly. I have made an IA version for the Slavs, linked here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=970655158

Thank you, it actually worked. I just chose the IA data set making a new game and it stayed like that even in the editor until I quit and reloaded the game itself. The only problem I encounter is my Magyar Building fix not working since I suppose it conflicts with IA somehow. If that could work it would be amazing, either way thank you for what you are doing ;D

IA is supposed to be at the lowest priority possible. This and the Spanish IA mod need to be placed higher on the Priority list.

It dosent really work for me. I am subbed to the IA mod 5,7 but the editor just dosent show the buildings like this, its just their default style. Had the same problem with the Spanish achitecture as well...IA 5.7 as highest priority with this directly behind it and still nothing. Am I doing something wrong?
