PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE
he discovered that the Blast pipe's shape was wrong, and not cleanly letting the steam clear the chimney's apron, which catches the steam and sucks it out the top. this meant that the draught on the firebox was adversely affected. with the blastpipe redesigned, the streamlined 38's were just as powerful as their unstreamlined cousins, though the unstreamlined were easier to maintain because of not having to remove said streamlining for maintenance, which could also be reflected in the game. it could also be a later retrofit version of the 38's streamlined with the restored power
If this keeps up I will reconsider where and when I release my mods... Be nice, I have spent countless hours working on all these train mods with my own time and fork out my money for softwares and tutorials, been doing this since the game was released... If for whatever reason I don't get my exposure because of this, things will change !
They were running uphill during heritage runs, and was said that the unstreamlined engine really assisted where otherwise streamlined engine would struggle. In some old footages you can see the untreamlined engines were used in many freight assisting runs, that seems to suggest that the engine have better power level.
Its my preference that both engines have different stats so to allow the players to decide what operations the train should run on, its more interesting that way :)
I think it is possible to make it even more accurate in the future, because the Sydney map I made at the time wasn't to the real world scale ( instead more like 1:2 ) even at the biggest map size possible... There were still missing slip switches between Redfern and Central ( though slip switch was available from a later patch only after this layout was created )
Would you mind doing a V set please for our long electrified runs? The A sets are awesome on shorter runs. :)
I still believe 38 class as pretty iconic with the use of bold green and gold Australian colours, you can recognise the train from miles away, whereas other class are less colourful. S-class is truely streamlined though, while 38s are only partial.
While I make other locos, the reseach will continue, the coaches will come eventually !
It will take awhile before I could reach your engine.
do you think you could do a BB18 1/4 I wouldnt care if it was standard gauge :D
