If I disable the regrowth of certain things on this mod, does it also apply to the natural regrowth of the world setting in WorldGen?

a little questions here: If I set the rocks regrow days to 3 and mine 10 rocks , does it mean that after 3 days, every rocks of these 10 will do a true/false check , if true then it regrow otherwise the rest wait another 3 days ; or all 10 will just regrow ?

Maybe 2 versions of 0 would help the confusion and needs of people.
0 regrowth at all.
0 meddling with world settings.

Could be called ZERO and World. I definitely want ZERO. :)

Hi, same question as Lonnaldo. if I disable say carrots here, will it still regrow in 20 days as is the game default or will it disable it altogether? I think rabbit holes, carrots, trees, flower all respawn now normally.

Is it possible to disable spawn of saplings and stuff?

I really don't like stuff spawning in areas I've cleared and want to stay cleared (to plant my own things in clusters with enough distance so fire doesn't spread between them).

But sadly max days is 10 which should've been 14 (2 weeks) or 20 days (days between full moons)

I tried it for a while but it is way to fast. It takes the fun out of clearing a forest when it pops back up in the same season. Adding min max prefabs is something I need before I would try it again.

@lolo please add options for 30 60 and 90 days. An option to override/use vanilla regrowth setting. A setting for min and max prefabs. for example it checks to see how many evergreens there are and if there are more then 100 in the world it doesn't try to regrow it ever. but if there are fewer then 20 evergreens it will try to regrow it. Lastly an option to make respawn random on any turf that supports it in the world. For example. If i cut down a mush tree it can spawn on any turf that will support that mushtree. (bonus if you can make it spawn on turf moved to forest from cave. so i can have above ground mush forest.)

So when I use this mod does it override the already existing regrowth mechanics or does it work in tandem with them? Will trees and mushtrees still only respawn during their regrowth seasons and daytimes?
If i Disable regrowth of mushtrees, does it stop their regrowth altogether?

Give us a new setting on the config. Make us set a constant to be added to ALL entity settings that are enabled. It would make tweaking all my settings at once much easier. You can set an entity as "disabled" to exclude them from it. But if you want them to still get the constant added to them, you can set their value to 0.

i havent played the game in a while but if i remember correctly i think stuff regrows on seas. like berry bush or boulders spawn in the water where we cant reach them. might just be conflicting with another mod i dont know.

@ExtremeHunter @Anita Coffee Unfortunately I could not reproduce the issue. Both in a newly created world and a mega world. If it happens the next time a screen shot would be helpful.

With the new Return of Them update, mushrooms, grass tufts and other things have been respawning in the sea (water biome).

Had the same spider problem, so I turned the spider portion off. Also had to turn off moon rock respawn. I believe it's effecting a 230+ day world from being able to spawn smooth meteor for the postern.

I had a huge problem with this mod, unfortunately I didn't take any screenshots. I was playing with a friend, and I made base next to a spider den. Took it down no problem, only to see that the next in-game day it was regenerated. I didn't think much of it, so destroyed that one as well. Half a day later, found 2 more in the same area. Destroyed those, then 5 more appeared. It kept on going on until around my base were at least 30 spider dens that were respawning so fast, that I couldn't do anything else in the game but to destroy those and fight spiders, day and night. I had to disable the mod and after destroying all of those nests, everything went back to normal, which left me thinking that the mod was the problem. All the respawn rates were at default, the way you set them.

@VerteNinja Boulders (and all natural regrowth objects) regrow constantly. The respawn location can be any biome where boulders can spawn.

I think some things should be disabled by default, such as boulders, merm heads etc. In other words, make the mod more "vanilla" until you change a setting.

@VeRBeL DST's mod menu doesn't inherently support sliders. Perhaps I could make an additional "generic option" - slow, medium, fast that adjusts all values at once.

@Leo No. This mod doesn't support animals that reproduce yet. With the current implementation the population would grow out of control very quickly.

@Nobedient Yes. But it will only start regrowth based on the current world.

Natural regrowth stuff don't matter.

If you want more event regrowth entities say clockworks you can spawn some before adding the mod, or spawn and wait till next day for them to be registered with the mod.

@Silisiban Glad to hear that! You can try lowering the regrowth time for stalagmites. Note that stalagmites can spawn in red mushroom biome too. If the regrowth time is too large, you might not notice a big difference in only a few days.

First would like to say that I love this mod. My children and I play casually and without it we would not enjoy the game nearly as much. We have started exploring the caves more often and have realized that it doesn't appear to be respawning the stalagmites. Is there anything that I can do to make this work or force a respawn?

@QuackerR0w0 I'm sorry, but I don't think that would be feasible for a variety of reasons;

World was deleted as it was taking up a slot and wasn't playable.
Use a LOT of mods and deal with crashes a LOT so to find one in particular would be difficult.
I don't have a pastebin or site like it so I'm unsure how I could get it too you if I did.
