Fun fact, this map was going to show how everything was gonna be played out. The bridge, was supposed to be broken and where the game starts on episode 2. The train would be damaged and it is where alyx will go unconsious after falling off the train. You can even see this map in the beta files of half life 2 episode 2. This map was shortly scrapped though.

I love the fucking hell out of half life its my favorit game of all time and this map is awsome and acurate keep up this amazing work

@rodger I am not even remotely oblivious as to what this was and it's still interesting.

Given the current status of Half Life, little insights into the development of the various games are interesting. That's why almost nonsensically minor things like beta wall textures (I'm not even kidding here: https://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1521400&p=50830132&viewfull=1#post50830132) warrant such a positive response from people.

You might try simply enjoying the communal atmosphere instead of attempting to assert your dominance. We're all Half-Life nerds. Why can't we just let bygones be bygones?

I love how everyone is pretty oblivious to the fact that this map was really nothing more than literally a "style guide" meant to tell mappers how maps should look.
