Given the current status of Half Life, little insights into the development of the various games are interesting. That's why almost nonsensically minor things like beta wall textures (I'm not even kidding here: https://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1521400&p=50830132&viewfull=1#post50830132) warrant such a positive response from people.
You might try simply enjoying the communal atmosphere instead of attempting to assert your dominance. We're all Half-Life nerds. Why can't we just let bygones be bygones?
