Thx for the update. What a beast to drive. Well done RSM
Wayne_Carr  [author] 8 May, 2019 @ 1:59pm
Sorry for the lack of updates on what is happening, we have had many internal delays due to medical problems. The person doing the skins ran into problems getting the AI to work correctly after a game update so I am not sure if he continued doing them. I will try and see if I can get the skins he has done.
bhk 7 May, 2019 @ 8:59pm
What happened to the skins? Last advice was almost exactly a year ago.
Dale Bob 22 Jul, 2018 @ 5:22pm
Awesome! Just F'n Awesome Guys! I am looking forward to these babies getting fine tuned.
dreamer_al_59 13 Jul, 2018 @ 2:31am
A good start. Needs a fair bit of work.
bhk 7 Jun, 2018 @ 2:58pm
Thank you for that info, Carr. I'll look forward to it.
Wayne_Carr  [author] 24 May, 2018 @ 10:47pm
Thanks for the feedback, glad you enjoy it. There is a skin pack in the works but had to be modified after some changes in rFactor 2 after the recent updates. When it is ready it will be announced both here and our Facebook page.
bhk 22 May, 2018 @ 6:26pm
What a great package this is! Very enjoyable and makes for some excellent fun without being over-the-top with regards to the physics. Good fun with 30+ AI running Mt. Panorama.
Is there a mod with the car skins available?
Wayne_Carr  [author] 20 Mar, 2018 @ 1:01pm
I beleive the track in the photo is Bathurst 2016 (http://www.internationalsimracing.com/forum/index.php?topic=4170.0) . It is a DX11 version of the 3PA Bathurst 2014 with updated track sponsors.
sohn.MAV1C★ 20 Mar, 2018 @ 11:12am
whats the track on the picture on top??
TheGame316  [author] 6 Mar, 2018 @ 3:01am
Mr Load, that is something we are looking at and trying to improve in future updates. Thank you for the info in regards to settings and wheel, it can only help.
JimmyT 5 Mar, 2018 @ 3:02pm
Hey, thanks for this, it's not too bad. The big problem I have is with the FFB being way over done. Have to turn it down to 0.3 in game to be able to stop clipping. Using Fanatec V2
Wayne_Carr  [author] 4 Mar, 2018 @ 12:53am
TxZeus, You are able to make your own liveries but at this stage we haven't made a pack for of the real cars.
BadWallFlower 4 Mar, 2018 @ 12:45am
Just had a quick 10 minutes around Silverstone in the Holden. The handling is pretty good and very predictable, and enough grip from the tyres for noobies to enjoy driving this car. Good to see the suspension settings are variable, so you can fine tune the handling to individual drivers preferences. Good Job :steamhappy:
Zeussy 3 Mar, 2018 @ 11:34pm
Is there a way to get liveries for this mod?
Wayne_Carr  [author] 3 Mar, 2018 @ 8:05am
Mod updated with many things adjusted and fixed. Read the notes in the change log for details.
TheGame316  [author] 28 Feb, 2018 @ 8:13pm
J.Brandow, the real world add on packs were set up for rFactor1. At this stage the rF2 version uses the same templates/skins however may need adjusting levels/saturation and alphas(especially white cars). They also would require repackaging to rF2 specs. This will be done at a later stage, however getting physics, graphics & other issues are more of a focus at this stage.
J.Brandow 25 Feb, 2018 @ 7:42am
Can I use the 2015 V8SC Real World Add-on with these? If so how and where do I install it? Thank you for a killer MOD
Wayne_Carr  [author] 15 Feb, 2018 @ 7:06pm
I will put it on the list of things to consider for the next version or 2, wheels are pretty quick to paint if they need changing.
CplHamster 15 Feb, 2018 @ 2:24pm
Thanks for the reply, no worries and thanks for clearing that up, guess my idea for 1 painted spoke wont work XD, never mind, thanks again
Wayne_Carr  [author] 15 Feb, 2018 @ 1:48pm
Yeah, we are aware of the template being different to the wheel. Originally in the rFactor 1 version we had a 6 spoke version of the wheel, when we updated it to a 7 spoke we just did it so it used the same template file so that people didn't have to redo all their skins. On the template the only spoke that is used to paint the wheel is the vertical top spoke in the middle. We know it isn't the most ideal way of doing it but we wanted to make it easier to transfer previous liveries and skin packs. Sorry for any confussion.
CplHamster 15 Feb, 2018 @ 12:51pm
Hey, great mod from what I've tested, and I hate RWD cars. Just working through a livery and currently doing the wheels. I have got the naming down for them but the template has 6 spokes whereas the car in game has 7. trying to paint just one spoke and was wondering why it wasnt working until comparing the two side by side. Just thought I'd let you know
MooreYen 11 Feb, 2018 @ 2:27am
well done!:steamhappy:
anaussiejoe 7 Feb, 2018 @ 1:46am
By far to best RF2 V8 mod going. Thx heaps RSM
Wayne_Carr  [author] 6 Feb, 2018 @ 1:19am
Going from the general feedback we have received, I would say that the brake strength is about right but we need to improve the brake feel, especially when on the soft tyres. The hards are somewhat closer to what people are wanting but still not quite there. We will see what we can do on the next version, we will get there evenntually.
OZGT 5 Feb, 2018 @ 7:03pm
Just to be clear, I like the brakes the way they are, I cant help but think that some are getting out of a mod with awesome brakes and downforce and trying to compare the V8Supercars brakes to that,,,,,,,, So, I can already do a 49. sec lap on Symmons Plains and find myself braking later than what I was with the ORSM V8s of RF1, which up until now was my most favourite V8 mod ever.
Simracer 4 Feb, 2018 @ 10:23pm
Your welcome mate.
Wayne_Carr  [author] 4 Feb, 2018 @ 9:43pm
Thankyou for making yoru feedback clearer, it is appreciated. It is something we have heard a few times so it is definetly beinng looked into.
Simracer 4 Feb, 2018 @ 8:38pm
No offense was meant to you Carr for the mod. I should have explained it more clearly as meaning the car has the type of braking that is too sluggish for my liking. A comparison is that I dislike racing any production cars like Assetto Corsa has because of sluggish braking too. The mod in every other way is a winner in my opinion. Cheers
Wayne_Carr  [author] 4 Feb, 2018 @ 5:14pm
@[DAA520]GoldenBear The brakes pull the car up in the correct distance, if not too early, but just don't lock up at the moment. It is clearly stated as a known problem and will be addressed in the next version.
Simracer 4 Feb, 2018 @ 3:50am
The brakes are terrible.
Grey 1 Feb, 2018 @ 3:32pm
The best drive on RF2 without question.
-CFL-Beachy 1 Feb, 2018 @ 12:13am
Big thumbs up very pleased to be in a V8 again Well done Team RSM and to be honest it is the best mod i have raced in a long time and has been well worth the wait/rate.:steamhappy:
serbPSN 31 Jan, 2018 @ 11:28pm
I wish someone would do a 8V track pack with the best AIW they can possibly achieve for single player championship. Would be happy to donate :)

Will download this as soon as i have more time, it sounds fun
Wayne_Carr  [author] 31 Jan, 2018 @ 7:43pm
We will be looking at adding some real life liveries at some point in the not too distant future. Our primary focus was on the driveability of the cars to get them ready for the first season of the year for racing communities.
OZGT 31 Jan, 2018 @ 7:04pm
@HawksFan There's plenty of painters out there mate that I am sure would paint you a skin for a relatively small donation to their forums, if you do not know one I would be happy to help out. With a little direction and colour scheme of what you want it could be done in a very short time, depending on difficulty level.
OZGT 31 Jan, 2018 @ 1:06pm
Awesome job by The Rock Solid mates crew.
kwik_kiwi 30 Jan, 2018 @ 11:50pm
Great job... well done. I can see it being very good when the (very few) bugs get ironed out.
north_ranger 30 Jan, 2018 @ 10:42pm
Look forward to fix thoes issues.Good V8 supercar mod so far.
FDG-DV8 30 Jan, 2018 @ 9:03pm
Best V8 mod on RF2 or anywhere, great work well done
SuperPants 30 Jan, 2018 @ 6:51am
Would love to find a skin pack for these!
[SR]Elwood 30 Jan, 2018 @ 5:36am
Ok, I had not authorized the transfer of skins. Once authorized, it works!
Not understand why but hey it works: P
[SR]Elwood 30 Jan, 2018 @ 5:25am
Thank you for your reply, I will look on it to see where it gets stuck;)
Wayne_Carr  [author] 30 Jan, 2018 @ 3:54am
No idea Elwood, I can only assume it is something with either the rfmod like it not having the vehicles selected or server config. There are several servers that have been setup without issue.
[SR]Elwood 30 Jan, 2018 @ 3:40am
Thank you for your mod. However, I have a problem. I create a dedicated server without worries. Except that I can not join him it blocks the choice of the car. So impossible to test. A solution ?
time?. 29 Jan, 2018 @ 11:33pm

The following is the components and naming convention for the RSM Racing V8s brought to you by RockSolidMates.

Where possible the PSD name matches the naming convention required for packaging into mas file, with the only requirement being the addition of the prefix alt.
In the case of the Rim template, a copy of the saved DDS can be made and renamed to frim and rrim. The rim is the same across all cars.
