Well its a wonder that is stil works, when you consider that the base code of this is from 2015..

i use darkstars shields due to this one being insanely weak and not wc compatable and cause the shield effects are no longer gradual

hey so
with Weaponcore not playing well with the AI blocks, Energy Shields is the real viable choice again... if you have Defense Shields now, you're choosing between the torture of setting up AutoPillock or having intensely OP uncrackable shields that are annoying to fight. a lot of people have abandoned WC over it. maybe time for an update?

because its old... and there is a much better replacement.... (the darkstar shield) (and because i stopped playing SE)

Started a new world developing a blueprint for a hover salvage vehicle. I went to test it and came under fire and the game crashed. The crash log (below) indicated that it was a problem with the Shield mod. The only other mods on the world was the Hover engines and the build and repair mod.

i put the sheilds on my miner and every time i impact voxels my game crashes am i doing something wrong

No worries Flori, i love this mod and have been using for a long time. I completely understand that, I normally build starwars style ships but the odd halo or stargate ship gets build too. Thank mate

I have to wait for a fix of the original mod.
And nope the sound won't get changed to a star wars sound as I want to hold the mod usable for many ships like star trek, Stargate and so on.

Still crashing, but so is the original mod. One thing that would be cool is if you could change the sound of the shields getting hit to the starwars shield sounds. That would be epic.

These crash the game now, any sugestions? Any sort of contact with the shields, be it objects or weapon fire, collisions, the game crashes. Please help, keep looseing builds before saves.

The large grid generator has upgrade ports on its sites. Just connect the upgrade modules with the big side to the port.

I get that the shields need lots of power, but its odd that 1 bullet from a rifle will cause the generator to peg the power at 100% for 15 seconds... Basically taking even the smallest amount of damage will turn off critical parts of my ship which makes this mod seem bugged...

well the mod has a config file in AppData\Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Storage\1289498382.sbm_EnergyShields

However i set the power requiments to a value where they should match the increased protection capability.

The shields needs more energy during taking damage. I would advice that you get x100 reactors as those beasts uses a lot of energy.

There is a small bug with this mod. If the shields avtivate(take any ammount of damage), the power draw will lock to 100% for about 13-15 seconds. Im not sure if this is intended, but no matter how many 20x arc reactors i have, this happens....

every mod made from me is balancd to those shields. The mods from mexpex should deal enough damage as well.
