hey optic_moose, I have just loaded the map without issue. are you sure its not a conflicting mod? if you cant find anything, can you send or post a copy of the game log located at AppData\Roaming\Running with rifles ?

As soon as I select this mod in the menu it crashes my whole game, really want to play the map though looks good

Are you planning on doing further updates o nthis map, or is it compeltely finished so far? I really like this map, and I admire your progress, I hope you do well in your next projects!

Finally a new decent map for the most underated game on steam, really wish the modding community was more alive and pumped out more maps like this, and have all these great addons updated, since for some reason their authors tend to give up working on them and abandon them until they eventually become broken, outdated by next RwR updates, and such seems to be happening to so many great addons on the workshop.

thanks for all the feedback, I fixed various issues and added some content
v1.3
-fixed walls around armories
-fixed base names
-fixed sand layer
-added farmstead
-added warehouses
-detailed a bit of the lower map with trees, grass and heightmap stuff.
-removed APC's from the docks, steel factory and airport (excluding helipad)
-removed lots of unneeded details north of the map. (containers mostly)

Well, I would take a look at Google Maps then. Your imagination looks just like Eastport, Maine.. :-D

Flip the (N) axis to south, and view the satellite image, and you'll see what I mean.

Just as a random suggestion for the lower half of the map, perhaps some kind of a military base similar to those in Fridge Valley? Though you've probably already got stuff lined up to fill the bottom side already.

Yeah, I figured it might've been some kind of error or just using a difficult mod; 'cause holy shit, I was bogged down there for 3 hours with no progress, I had turrets all over the place and we barely held out lol!

ah! haha, so there is a wall ontop of the steel factory. I noticed it today on the map file. like many of the other armories I added a small chain link fence around it, this one just didnt work.

In addition to what DIO said regarding the AI vehicles getting stuck, there are many instances where the AI get jammed behind level geometry like benches and things and can't figure out how to move beyond them. It's especially prevalent in West Town, but it also happens at the Docks and the checkpoint too.

Also, around some of the armories there appears to be some kind of invisible barrier. The one on the roof of the Steel Factory for example. You can still get to and use the armory, but only if you approach it in a certain direction.

@silentkore was your first base at east town? the only ones you should be able to start with is the airport.

@dio thanks for the feedback, unfortunately I dont know whats ausing issues 1 5 and 6. but I will have a look at the other ones.

Some feedbacks at prima vista :
1. vehicles are often stuck at fences
2. the bottom part of the map is uninhabitable, thuse unusable, no actions have been taken there (guess is still unfinished...)
3. too many superfluous elements over the map
4. most fences are too high to be jumped over
5. gift boxes does not work, I sold my titan for 1 rp and nothing happened....
6. quick match allows to choose 3 factions but although there's only 2 factions

Tried it out with a mod, SCP mod to be exact; map's pretty decent, needs work of course but thus far it's a very promising one indeed!

I think East Town needs a few fences or walls blocking it off, enemies come from everywhere and I couldn't make any progress, or if it's possible to not make it a possible starting point that would work just as well or even better.

@Remlly Oh and I remember a very common issue when I was playing the map with my mod. In the chat logs (F1), the commander addresses the territories as "NAME" instead of their respective given names. Not sure if it's just my mod or something. If you don't mind, please take a look at the chat logs while fighting at a territory, thanks!

@Remlly I just redownloaded it again. I guess I may have gotten V1.1 somehow. The arrows are still a little off center in some cases, but it's much more accurate now!

I'll play it more thoroughly whenever I get the chance and let you know if I notice any other issues though.

@cptfoot are you sure you are in the most recent version? both issues are fixed in v1.2. ive just run another test and did not encounter them.

easiest way to check if you is if there are cars on the parking lot infront of the airfield.

A fun map and a nice addition to the game.

I just tried the recent version for a little bit there and ran into an immediate problem regarding the in-game map UI. It's incorrect. The arrows and 'attack here' indicator are not focused on the right spots at times and while I was clearly standing in a defined base (on the map interface,) it wasn't accepting that I was inside one. This makes it hard to know exactly where I need to stand to cap a zone.

Another issue I've noticed which may not be your fault is that the AI seems to not want to get into any vehicles. I tested this in both a Mod and the vanilla game. They just outright ignore the APCs.

Like the others before me have said, I hope to see you continuing to work on and fixing any issues that arise, because the game could certainly use a few more good maps!

It's rare to see another map maker for the game, and I like this map as it is compatible with mods including mine, and the era is modern (obviously) which is what I'd been wanting to see. Good decorations, strategic positions, etc.

Good job on the map, looking forward to more updates and having fun with this map, whether with mods or not :)

considering there are already 45 subscribers. (wich is to me more than double ''really interest in it'') I might try my best to make something really playable out of the map.

You really should work more on this, the only way to get any interest in it is to truly make it a good map; not a half-arsed pet project (Not insulting, as I have yet to try it and I fully intend to test this map out extensively ;) ). This game needs more dedicated modders and mappers, you could be one of the people to revive the mapping community for this game man, fookin go for it!
