Report a translation problem
I was getting an error but was able to get rid of it by doing what zon said below by adding <CompatibleVersions>2.0</CompatibleVersions> to line 8 of the MODINFO file. On my PC this info file was located at:
C:\Programfiles (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\289070\1297051754
I'm not sure if the numbers on the last two files are the same for everyone or what but that's what they were on mine.

To check the amenities, you check your city tab and where it lists amenities, these will show up as 'Amenities from improvements.'
