That said, nice mod. Felt good to play; didn't feel like it wasn't the base game - and there were no outstanding items that I noticed in my limited experience.

I've definitely toyed with the idea, but because the implementation would be a bit messy I avoided doing it. (Would have to add ledger flags and requirement checks for each weapon) I'll think about the idea more because I absolutely agree that being constrained to only two real armor types has been a huge headache.

The game has only two armor types, but I think it's possible to make a pseudo third and much needed heavy infantry type. The problem with heavy infantry is that armor piercing damage counters both heavy infantry and vehicles, BUT if more units applied AP or true AoE damage (prime candidates are banshees, plasma, etc) it would have no effect on vehicles while at the same time turning those units into a dedicated elite infantry counters.

Much better balance compared to the base game. It dosent address all issues but its like night and day compared to vanilla.

Ty so much for this mod, now it feels like the game similar to DOW 1 with slow paced, time build up and enjoy the game with elite units. The marines were like toilet paper before, now they are durable and so much fun to play.

Thanks once again, I think you should make the AI a bit more competent as they cluster Waah towers and can make them a bit more aggressive.

Hi, there seems to be a bug. When Diomedes dies in battle he is dead for the entire game. Is this wanted or is that a bug?

The author is really amazing guy. Good moding good intentions but for this mod he makes decisions with another frenchy toxic guy(Artist) who plays game casually very low skill level. Thus this mod is not recommended for anyone other than SM fanboy who doesnt care for balance and maybe their small community. Until this changes i do not recommend this to anyone.

Long time DOW plaer. does this Mod work in the campaign? i played DOW III less than 2 hours because melee combat was so terrible. I.e. entire units die instantly because HP is so low. Combat felt so arcade like and was just too fast compared to previous DOW titles.

Only on a Custom map, and you’d be limited to the resources generated by HQ which wouldn’t be very much until the later stages of the game. A workaround would be to play with the High Resources Enabled option.

AI's working well again, so far. Thank you! I love how tactical SM's actually have decent durability in this mod. They die so quickly in vanilla, it kinda kills the fun of it for me, having to run them away from a single boyz squad just to keep them alive. It's the diametric opposite of what is in the fluff (although I can't imagine they're that fragile in table top either). Bravo, mate.

Bit of an update on the status of the mod. The current version is playable but has a few bugs. There is an update in the works however we recently played a 1v1 Tournament (sponsored by Duke Jason) and every Sunday Jason and Artist will be casting the games on Jason's Twitch channel. Until the casting is complete the mod cannot be updated, so I am sorry for any inconvenience.

Mod is selectable again. Yay! On another note, something seems to have broken the AI. I skirmish against Orks on hard every now and then, and around the July 10 update or so, their behavior drastically changed. Before, they were aggressive. I'd have to be fighting them off a shield gen and mid map resource points from the very beginning. Now, I hardly see a single boyz squad until right before I'm about to purchase tier 2. This was on Port Saunderus.

So I was unable to update the mod, it seems the glitch that makes it invisible also messed up the whole workshop page. I've created a new one everyone will have to subscribe to in order to continue playing the mod.

I've subscribed to the mod and it shows up in my mods\tuning\subscriptions folder, but it is does not show up in the available mods selector, in game. I've subscribed and re-subscribed several times, but still it does not show up. Is this happening to anyone else?

Allied Space marine AI is... really not good, to put it very lightly. Even when set to Hard. They only produce scouts, servitors and occasional assault squads, rarely build listening posts, and don't use elites well at all.

Enemy Ork AI on the other hand, are insane, even on casual. They spam units like crazy.

There have been a few reports of crashing lately. I've only observed them when closing the game myself but I'm going to do some troubleshooting this week. Hopefully that will fix the issues MacOS is having as well.

This release doesn't have a ton of new changes. What happened was I had lost the mod files so I rebuilt it from scratch. The current version has most of the changes but is missing some things like turrets being non-doctrinal with special perks for using the doctrine. I'm planning on releasing another version soon that will add that stuff again.


There is some new stuff in this version though. I replaced Jonah's silence on melee with a buff to his Zeal passive ability. Escalation phases give more resource gain which will reduce the Power bottleneck in the mid to late game. I also made it so that Mines that are revealed by a detector will stay permanently revealed. There was a few tweaks to some things like Kommando Konscripts doctrine since it wasn't behaving as intended.
