Needs updating :KentWrong:
Crog De Bog 28 Sep, 2024 @ 3:34pm
Would Love an Update. Right now, it's broken, and doesn't work at all.
Luminara 27 Mar, 2024 @ 11:43am
I really like this mod, but it needs an update for 3.9 and beyond because it causes the new species portraits to vanish (new plantoid, humanoid, etc.) and also causes some glitches with the hairstyles for humanoids.

(Tested in 3.11.2 with only this mod active)
Meaty Ogre 17 Oct, 2022 @ 6:46pm
An update would be nice :)
Hormiga 21 Sep, 2022 @ 11:56am
This mod causes some weird issues by pasting toxoid faces
and hair styles into other portraits. See screen shot for reference https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2865907224

@Anajamois: Interesting, but I'm glad it's working again! I'll try to take a look at the files next week (hopfully) to see if anything meaningful changed in the file structure anyway!
✚ Anajamois 14 May, 2022 @ 1:44am
This works again for some reason
✚ Anajamois 13 May, 2022 @ 5:02am
oh god, I don't know why the update breaks these but it does

I'm sorry guys, can't make any promises for this year, but I'll take a look at it asap! Thank you for all the love for this mod, you guys! <3

Merry Christmas and a happy new year, ya'll!

Really hope this gets updated! i loved it so much!
Fetfrumos96 16 Dec, 2021 @ 1:11am
Please update your mods, the launcher swears a lot and the game crashes when I load your mods. Please, can you fix your mod, the mod does not want to work correctly in the new version 3.2
Fetfrumos96 8 Dec, 2021 @ 3:07am
Is there a chance to upgrade to version 3.2?
Wilmfe23 23 Oct, 2021 @ 9:46am
Lack of color is kind of an issue with Stellaris as a whole. The stars look too identical, the galaxy map is bland.
The galaxy is full of color and it's extremely vibrant. On earth the atmosphere blends colors hand causes haze so it dims colors. In space that's not the case so it should be far more vibrant. The space ships themselves could also use some more color.
NoctisTheBogWitch 11 Sep, 2021 @ 8:45am
More colors for the fox please?
Shadow 19 Apr, 2021 @ 5:26am
Still one of my favorite mods. I remember it being one of the first I ever downloaded.

Woah, awesome! Thanks for the quick response!
Tentakeltier🦑  [author] 31 Aug, 2020 @ 2:35pm
@FortuneHost: I'll look into it as soon as I find some time! They probably changed some of the names in some of the files, should hopefully be an easy fix. :)
FortuneHost 31 Aug, 2020 @ 1:24pm
There is one bug I keep running into, in the species view in-game, if a species is using the "snapping turtle" portrait, instead of showing a snapping turtle it'll show the gecko... otherwise it works fine.
XENOPHILIAC 5 Aug, 2020 @ 7:42pm
Idk why but this mod does not work for me anymore. :"( That aside I love it so much! If I had the patience I would love to make something similar.
FortuneHost 19 Jul, 2020 @ 10:17am
Just tried this out the other day and I love it! It really adds to the variation between the different pops and leaders, making them easier to tell apart as well as just making the game feel bigger in general. Thanks so much for taking the time to put this mod together!
Rhi 25 Jun, 2020 @ 9:24am
This is great, thank you.

2 questions if some one made assets Lithoids would you add them. and if someone wanted to make new colors for lithoids how would the go about that.
Ajey 19 Apr, 2020 @ 11:53pm
@Milki

hi! i am working on a bigger overhaul for stellaris. i would like to include your mod + rework some assets + add new assets. your mod could lay the foundation for further expansion. i would give full credit to you of course. would you be ok with that i.e. could i get your permission for it? :)
falhxer 29 Feb, 2020 @ 2:21pm
amazing mod, finally i can genocide more colored stuff, muahahah, jokes apart, lets be serious, space gulags are the future not wasteful genocides.

Thanks a lot!!! =)
Tentakeltier🦑  [author] 16 Nov, 2019 @ 5:41pm
Probably not for a while, sorry. :( Life's just too busy currently and I simply prefer spending my free time playing some of my games rather than making mods for them tbh. ;)
Inawordyes 16 Nov, 2019 @ 5:11pm
Update! Woo! Will you ever go through and update the applicable Humanoids + the Lithoids + the Crustacean Arthropoid, Mole Mammalian and Hivemind Plantoids that came out as individual portraits since Synthetic Dawn?
Tentakeltier🦑  [author] 16 Nov, 2019 @ 11:05am
I've updated the mod's version number and added the descriptor.mod file that the new launcher needs, as nothing else changed that affects my mod, but my husband had to unsubscribe and resub the mod for it to really update, as it would still show up as outdated in his mod list after the initial update. So I just wanted to throw this out here in case this happens to anyone else. :)
Liorans Firefly 16 Nov, 2019 @ 1:32am
Any chance for update?
mturkhan 23 Jun, 2019 @ 2:33pm
Nice idea to diversify some races that are too monotonous in Vanilla!
Cephalon Sithalo 22 Jun, 2019 @ 6:34pm
Oh sorry I didnt check the patch notes. I just figured you fixed the Ecu issue and didnt know about the other one lol. Great job being ontop of that.

I just checked and can confirm they show up as they should now :)

Yeah no rush. Sometimes you just gotta be in that spirit/mood to do modding stuff :LotusFlower:
Tentakeltier🦑  [author] 22 Jun, 2019 @ 5:54pm
As mentioned in the change note, the DLC race should show up for anyone owning the DLC. It should be fixed already as I checked all of the files used by my mod for changes. If anyone with the DLC could confirm though, that would be awesome. :)

And very weird, when I looked for the graphics files before (plantoid_hivemind.dds etc) I didn't see them in my folder, so I assumed they wouldn't be there unless you own the DLC. But I hadn't started the game yet and starting up the game took a while after 6+ month, could be that the files just hadn't been downloaded yet. They are there now, but tbh, the update is done now and I'm still lazy, so I'll see what I can do whenever I find the motivation to go back to adding more colours.
Cephalon Sithalo 22 Jun, 2019 @ 4:54pm
Tbf (as someone who constantly rags on prdx lol) It wasnt a complete change. It was just like a few lines that needed to be included lol.

Also you dont need the dlc to add new colors to the Ancient Relics race. The artwork exists inside of your game files. You just need the pack to actually unlock the ability to select them.

And since you asked, I got a comment on my fix (that I forgot about) that this may have been breaking the new portrait from the dlc causing it not show up in game.

Which you can fix even though you do not own the dlc since the code should already be in your game. I figure you just have to copy whatever is missing into the file you overwrite.

And finally, thank you very much for making this. Variety is the spice of life after all. I'll hide mine now that its not needed anymore :LotusFlower:
Tentakeltier🦑  [author] 22 Jun, 2019 @ 4:22pm
Sorry for taking ages, but the mod should now be fully compatible with everything (until Paradox completely changes things again, haha).

Would have loved to add more colours for the new Ancient Relics race too, but currently I sadly just can't afford the DLC. orz

Please report if anything breaks again and I'll try to update in a more timely manner. ;)
Pamparampampamparam 15 Feb, 2019 @ 9:45am
How does this mod play with Sexual Dimorphism mod?
Cephalon Sithalo 5 Feb, 2019 @ 7:52pm
It doesnt bug out the tileset but it does bug out the city set.

I solved your problem though.

You need to go into your 00_portraits_main and add vanillas #L06 city code else the game is missing some of its code so it just shows the normal city and since you cannot see the ground see the ground on a city world they didnt bother giving it a ground so its just a bunch of pale pale flat blue.

I added the code to test it and it works proper with that little bit :LotusFlower:
Vehin 27 Jan, 2019 @ 11:02am
I can second that this mod bugs out the ecumenopolis tileset. Awesome mod though!
Tentakeltier🦑  [author] 30 Dec, 2018 @ 7:42am
I couldn't find anything out of order with just the 2.2 update and as mentioned I'm unable to test it with the MegaCorp DLC yet to check out what's causing the glitch for the ecumenopolis, or if it's even related to my mod or not. So yeah, the mod is 2.2 compatible, but use it at your own risk with the MegaCorp DLC!
Tentakeltier🦑  [author] 21 Dec, 2018 @ 4:02pm
Thanks for reporting! Not sure if it's really my mod causing it though and I'm not sure when I'll be able to check what's wrong since I don't own the DLC yet (and probably won't be able to buy it for a while). If they changed something for the DLC regarding how portraits are displayed those changes might be in just the vanilla game too though, so I'll take a look at it after the holidays. :)
Lord Sam Sinister 21 Dec, 2018 @ 2:17pm
For those of you asking about the 2.2 update, this mod does work. However, it makes the city graphics for ecumenopolises bug out for some reason.
Crusaderjack 17 Dec, 2018 @ 7:44pm
I would like to know if its 2.2 compatible too.
Alphaslayer 9 Dec, 2018 @ 4:44pm
Is this mod 2.2 compatible?
