why the mod doesn’t work for me, when it is where it should be and signed, as it should be, but when I enter the game, the message "could not open the file ..." appears, and the sprite is missing?

Im up to the steamapps\workshop\content\ part but cant find the 262060\ file what can i do

@silentechoes88 when you complete the first DD quest you can see the various npcs' sprite change to a monstrous version for a brief moment every now and then, the .dd sprite is what the game shows you in those moments.

im still confused about the why there are two photos in the default folder. one has .dd in the name. what is that?

@StaidRapier Don't give up so easily, not when we are in the middle of the Waifu holocaust!
On my pc the folder is located in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\262060", the folder have the number 1301364927 special edit and the various image are inside that folder, I don't use a mac so I don't know how it works but give a look at this , hope this may help you find the folder.

@Laplace93 I believe my issue is that I can't seem to find any folders (or anything in general) regarding the mods I download or anything I download from steam workshop, not through finder or the steam 'package contents' or the 'package contents' for darkest dungeon itself guess I'll have to give up on this one. Thanks anyway!

@Laplace93 Thank you for helping but where is the 'special edit' folder? I apolgise for my stupidity and any inconvenience I'm causing.

@StaidRapier Copy the skin you want to see in game from the "special edit" folder and paste it inside the sanitarium folder (campaign\town\buildings\sanitarium) of the mod, now rename the one you want to use as your standard sanitarium.character and delete/rename the already existing sanitarium.character, same for the sanitarium.dd.character, that's all, hope this may help.

Am I dumb? I have no clue how to get different skin variations (the nudity ones don't judge) even with the instructions (which I honestly can't fully understand), I don't know where to start/go. Is me being on mac an issue? Could someone help?
