yeah, sorry, i am currently merely keeping this mod alive, but i haven't actively played rimworld in ages. (even less chance now that DF is out').
If someone want's to fiddle around with making it compatible, feel free.
also, have you tried changing the mod loading order? (although, i don't know what animal control exactly does to the nutritional values... )

The bug BEAR_POW3R mentioned seems to be an incompatibility with Animal Controls. That mod does something with nutrition values for training. It would be great if you or the Animal Control devs could resolve the issue, as that mod has some great features. Right now I play without it and use Assign Animal Food to replace just one of the things it does. However, I'm not aware of another mod that makes animals pay attention to their trainers while being trained.

@BEAR_POW3R uhm, that's the first i hear this kind of thing... i'll try to check once i get home again, but i strongly suspect there to be some conflict between mods for a reaction like this.

Hi! I don't know if it was some mod incompatibility, but once I added this mod to an existing save, the pawn responsible for training animals kept filling his pockets with kibble, up to half a tone. He just stayed behind the cook and grabbed every single pile of kibble, it was funny but odd :surprised_yeti:

Kibble is useless for training babies. Works for bigger animals.

Mod is making it a lot easier to maintain my collection of animals however when my colonists use kibble to try and train or tame an animal the colonists just stop as soon as the kibble appears in their hand
Never mind saw the other comment having the same issue, I'll try out the 0.29 version.

@bearhiderug its easy to spot most of the time, by looking at the files... if it contains the whole thingdef for whatever it is, it overwrites, but if it contains xml code with add or replace, it only patches...

If any version of the V18 compatible mod could be posted I'd really appreciate it.

I did have a go myself, but what looks like it ought to be fairly easy was beyond me :-)

I also tried just updating the value in items_food.xml, but the info on kibble still said 0.05, I noticed this after seeing all of my animals starving!
Should that have worked?

This might sound weird, but i was doing some manual installs yesterday, and the 0.29 verison I still have as a B18 mod, does that help?

So for some reason my colonists will get the (PawnName) started 10 jobs in 10ticks error and pause the game continually. Example when a pawn trys to pick up kibble to train an animal (in most cases a husky) she will stand there till forever till she collapses, putting an error (which pauses the game) out every second. Annoying, so i draft the pawn until they collapse of exhaustion

That's a problem caused by Nutritious Kibble. RimWorld doesn't like pawns having non-human edible stuff in their inventory with a nutrition greater than 0.3. Animal handlers will drop it and pick it up again in an infinite loop. <conversation in PickUpAndHaul Mod>
I have an infinite trying to pick up kibble bug i posted on PickUpAndHaul and Mehni said this mod causes the error. Can add a mod setting to change the value to 0.29 rather than your 0.50?

I hate mods like these, because they are so good that when they are then abbandoned. You end up begging and begging for updates, but the Author remains hidden...

I mean if you don't like it you could always edit the mod's file and adjust it w/ notepad++

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\294100\1303367688\Patches

and edit "nutritiouskibblepatch.xml"
Find the <nutrition>0.5</nutrition> Line and edit to whatever you like
<nutrition>0.1</nutrition> For double
<nutrition>0.2</nutrition> For quadruple
<nutrition>0.3</nutrition> For sextuple
<nutrition>69</nutrition> Instant fill up per kibble
