In the tutorial you have to play through it until you crash onto the planet. Then at this point you can ignore the objective and go to the left or right until you see a big body of water. At this point you can start building and playing around with the quicksand we call water. If you want to build with iron you'll have to go into the player config file for that world and change the gameMode variable to 1. Any other questions just message me. :D
