Report a translation problem
I came here to let everyone know that the mod is unfortunately broken, it causes pawns to be incapable of tending wounds with medicine.
Sadly my son Alex TD @uuugggg died June 2025. Can anyone tell me if I could/should report this to someone? And I know he made a lot of mods that people used and seemed to depend on. He was very proud of his mods. And his games.. see tdsgames.com Is it possible for someone to take over managing his mods? I’m at catears@me.com thank you Marilyn T (T of TD)

Tending is completely broken
First, I had to get Re-Tend to be able to redo a 0% treatment on an infection from a lesser skilled doctor while the better skilled one was off saving someone else.
And now I have to get this mod because my doctor used up all 6 of her herbal kits faffing about with the minor burns on his body, meanwhile the infection overtakes his immune system by the time she decides to treat it - once he ran out of meds.
Anyone know a fix to this?
I tested it out, and it has no issues with my mod setup, so it might be an option for you too. I was kinda reluctant to move away from this mod, that I've been using for years, but having to turn off "take from patient inventory" is kinda meh, and there's also issues with the game not swapping out from meds when treating major, medium and minor problems on the same patient.
EDIT: I'mma just move that wall of text to Discussions out of the way coz looks like it might not actually be relevant to the issue after all. But the TLDR of it is this:
I believed this mod was having issues in attempting to tend to a patient. But it turns out the true issue was attempting to take medicine from the patient's inventory in order to treat them. Switching off this function enabled the doctor to do their work without issue.
I tried to replicate the problem with just Smart Medicine running, but was unable to at the time. So, I am not sure if this was down to a conflict with another mod that was present, or the cright condtions have to be met to trigger it, or if some other factor entirely was at play, but here's the link again:

I finally dropped 1.0 support because they held onto extra files.
Anyway the old pre-1.5 releases should work, and honestly the 2020 1.0 releases are all you need since they don't get updated, just included: https://github.com/alextd/RimWorld-SmartMedicine/releases/tag/2.4.0.5
Could I request more injuries item compatability?
Any item that COULD be stocked up, for example drugs, alcohol, even coffee, pawns will start 10 jobs in 10 ticks. The way you get it to stop is, you click the "Stock Up" option to have them store any amount of the drug in their inventory. Suddenly, they can haul the object again.
