My condolences, I'm really sorry to hear that Uuugggg has passed.

I came here to let everyone know that the mod is unfortunately broken, it causes pawns to be incapable of tending wounds with medicine.

Sadly my son Alex TD @uuugggg died June 2025. Can anyone tell me if I could/should report this to someone? And I know he made a lot of mods that people used and seemed to depend on. this is like the 4th day im playing this game and ive installed about 30 mods already, pretty much ALL of them fix basic terrible designs of the game.

First, I had to get Re-Tend to be able to redo a 0% treatment on an infection from a lesser skilled doctor while the better skilled one was off saving someone else.

And now I have to get this mod because my doctor used up all 6 of her herbal kits faffing about with the minor burns on his body, meanwhile the infection overtakes his immune system by the time she decides to treat it - once he ran out of meds.

If anyone's interested: I tested this in 1.6 - it breaks tending to wounded, the option is simply not there. Once the mod is removed everything works once again -> wait for a 1.6 update.

Blank Stock up menu? Whenever I click the menu in the pawn gear screen, it pops up completely blank. Anyone seen this before?

Mod works fine for me except for when I right-click an infection to change the medicine that it's beeing treated with. Because whatever I set there, my pawns will never treat that infection unless I remove the 'custom medicine setting' for the infection.

Anyone know a fix to this?

@yugocom - I think the issue I was having was likely the same error, although I'm not sure what mod it was having issues with. It was reccommened to me to swap over to the mod Choose your Medicine which was inspired by this one, has much of the same functionality, and plays nice with other mods.

I tested it out, and it has no issues with my mod setup, so it might be an option for you too. I was kinda reluctant to move away from this mod, that I've been using for years, but having to turn off "take from patient inventory" is kinda meh, and there's also issues with the game not swapping out from meds when treating major, medium and minor problems on the same patient.

Unfortunately there's a new incompatibility between this mod and Altered Carbon. When trying to install one of the implants from the mod, pawns freeze and get the "started 10 jobs in 1 tick" error.

I found a rare red error that shows in dev mode - in normal the pawn will stop moving:

EDIT: I'mma just move that wall of text to Discussions out of the way coz looks like it might not actually be relevant to the issue after all. But the TLDR of it is this:

I believed this mod was having issues in attempting to tend to a patient. But it turns out the true issue was attempting to take medicine from the patient's inventory in order to treat them. Switching off this function enabled the doctor to do their work without issue.

I tried to replicate the problem with just Smart Medicine running, but was unable to at the time. So, I am not sure if this was down to a conflict with another mod that was present, or the cright condtions have to be met to trigger it, or if some other factor entirely was at play, but here's the link again:

I'm having the same issue with colonists using good medicine on non-urgent injuries like bruises unless I draft them and select the tend no medicine option. I have use minimal medicine for non-urgent care selected in the mod settings

I finally dropped 1.0 support because they held onto extra files.

@Uuugggg Awesome Inventory tends to make my game crash and has various glitches like every pawn turning into a black square after a hour or two. I just use RPG Inventory only,

to @Book Of Thoth: there is workaround for Anomaly DLC: you probably altered default medicine settings; try reverting back to "no medicine" (hand icon) for entities, and then cycle throw all already captured entities to undo already enabled medicine usage.

The stock up window doesn't seem to recognize More Injuries medicine items, wish it did - that mod makes it important to carry stuff around like splints, those injuries are not otherwise treatable.

Could I request more injuries item compatability?

Gosh, I have the same bug as @Professional Pro and @疯傻傻疯傻 and @ El Goonty ☯.

Any item that COULD be stocked up, for example drugs, alcohol, even coffee, pawns will start 10 jobs in 10 ticks. The way you get it to stop is, you click the "Stock Up" option to have them store any amount of the drug in their inventory. Suddenly, they can haul the object again.

I have a bug to report - this mod conflicts with Anomoly DLC. When right clicking on the entity in the containment unit, there is no command menu to interact. Debug mode reveals link to Smart Medicine DLC.
