Fun one!

Nice puzzle - I liked how it is easy to fall into the false assumption. that the timed fizzler needs to be walked through. Lucky the puzzle flowed nicely enough that I didn't notice that rather nasty extra sightline.

I agree that the timing is a bit too short, but this is a great map!
Reika 23 Aug, 2019 @ 10:44pm
I quite liked this, but the timing on that button is really tight, and if you screw up you have to start from scratch.

Very nice little chamber!

Thanks :)

Very good map, it's a shame that it's so easy to break it. The intended solution is far better!
jandlml 12 Aug, 2018 @ 6:43pm
very nice map! i definitely used the portals on the ceiling. lots of fun!
Grandie 7 Aug, 2018 @ 6:08pm
took me 18min =)
anpy  [author] 4 Jul, 2018 @ 12:01am
Ah yes, other people broke it that way too, but I never got around to fix this, I'll probably do it soon, thanks :)

Sure!

All I had to do is:
1. Shoot a portal on the angled panel towards the floor button.
2. Shoot a portal underneath the funnel and using the height to get in front of the grating of the button.
3. Get to the floor button with shooting a portal near it on the ground and on the wall next to the pedestal button.
4. Step on the button, shoot a portal through the open fizzler and get back to the funnel.
5. Use the momentum to get over the grating.
6. Shoot the other portal (which is currently on the ground next to the floor button) on the wall next to the pedestal button again.
7. Press the pedestal button, go through the portal and shoot one through the now open fizzler.
(8. If not successfull: repeating Step 7 is easy. All you have to do is go back through your portal.)
9. Use the funnel again, to fly straight to the exit.

@€in€r vØn vi€l€n Thanks for playing, but do you mind making a video to show me how you solved it without that area?
€in€r vØn vi€l€n 3 Jul, 2018 @ 4:44am
Pretty easy. Although I hadn't have to use the section with portal surfaces on the ceiling and floor. No idea, why this is there.
Libbybapa 23 Apr, 2018 @ 11:06am
In looking back it seems that was already mentioned and you said it introduced a shortcut. Nevermind.
Libbybapa 23 Apr, 2018 @ 11:02am
It's a nice simple puzzle, but I think you should add 1 second to the timer that shuts off the fizzler. The timing is very tight on that.

Nice no-cube map Aur3Dash, simple and elegant. Thumbs up and fav'ed
RideFlame 2 Apr, 2018 @ 1:43pm
Thank you! Clever map :) really wanted a way to get the box out of the floor, though!

Congratulations!

Simple yet well made with good element re-use

Did a speedrun of your map: https://youtu.be/F9oyuWhxKDM?t=11m32s

In this chamber I knew exactly where I needed to be at every stage and the puzzle was finding out how to get there step by step which is nice.

Simply superb little puzzle; extremely elegant, fitting music and most rewarding :D

I really enjoyed that! I award it : Best fling map! I love it!

Wow! Now *that* was an exploit!
anpy  [author] 4 Mar, 2018 @ 3:55am
Haha, nice one, I didn't see that solution :p Easy to fix though, thanks!

Np, yw.
anpy  [author] 2 Mar, 2018 @ 6:00am
@dven1 Hmm... I'll see what I can do to fix this. Thanks!
dven1 2 Mar, 2018 @ 5:17am
Nice map, well made and sufficiently lit. I did it a bit differently than the video in that I had portals in the panel near the fizzler deactivating button and in the floor panel under the funnel. I was able (after numerous attempts) to push the button, go through the portal and shoot a portal in that last angled panel and then use the funnel to fling over the "pit" to the exit area. In any event, clever puzzle and enjoyable map. Thanks for your efforts.

Just looked at my comment for some reason and saw my spelling mistake 'good luck with the compotation, ' but maybe not; "compotation - an act or instance of drinking or tippling together. Origin of compotation. Latin. Greek. 1585-1595", so good luck with that also :P

@bullfrog Thanks! Glad you enjoyed.

Excellent puzzle. I don't normally like timed buttons, but you used them well and the timing was not too tight. The puzzle itself took me a couple of minutes to work out, but satisfying when I did - big thumbs up and good luck with the compotation :)

@Fumbly Bumbly Thanks! Sorry if the timer was too short, but the problem is, if I make it slightly longer you can just skip the puzzle.
anpy  [author] 23 Feb, 2018 @ 11:00am
@jgaultney Thanks for playing and the favorite! I playtest my maps quite a lot before publishing them, and even after publishing one, I replay it again. So if you think there's a mistake, you gotta think a bit longer ;)
jgaultney 23 Feb, 2018 @ 10:18am
I was beginning to think there was a mistake on that second timer and then the aha! moment
struck. :) Thumbs up and favorited. :p2cube:

@Demon Arisen Thanks for the favorite! I'm really glad you enjoyed it :)
Demon Arisen 23 Feb, 2018 @ 7:07am
Awesome! I really enjoyed that. Fantastic use of timed buttons, and momentum - proof that timing can be used well. Favourite for sure, and a worthy contender!
