Report a translation problem
The main conflict was with Marmotte's First Person Death Mod addon which adds sounds
(I should've read the description but i'm just gonna tell myself I probably would've forgot that detail by now)
I resolved the issue with the console command "fpdm_sounds 0"
Sorry for the hassle :/
also jesus it took me 33 minutes just to turn all them back on and test them and that was with turning multiple addons on at a time to speed it up
Looks like I'm going to have to go all in and disable every other addon, and then reenable them one by one to figure out which one(s) are causing the problem.
Example: Death sound is set to metrocop but male rebel and metrocop end up playing at the same time.
I'm guessing it's a problem with installation, and if that's the case, any idea how to fix it?
allow players to import their own sounds as well maybe?
(examples)
Megaman,X,Ciel,Magma dragoon: Death sound from Mega Man NES
Link: OOT death sound
mario: Mario 64 death sfx
yet it would be funny if there would be a mod that did that exect thing.
Thanks for the report! You're right, they changed all .wav voiceovers to .mp3s. Very random and inconvenient, but should be easy enough to fix. Hopefully I won't break anything in the process since I can't test the changes.
I dont know if thats the reason why the sounds wouldn't play, but its just my guess :)
Failed to load sound "vo\soldier_painsevere05.wav", file probably missing from disk/repository
Failed to load sound "vo\soldier_painsevere05.wav", file probably missing from disk/repository
Failed to load sound "vo\spy_painsevere04.wav", file probably missing from disk/repository
Failed to load sound "vo\sniper_painsevere01.wav", file probably missing from disk/repository
I would put the rest, but you know, steam comment limit lol
Anyways, I had already verified game cache, and TF2 IS mounted. Any help or feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!
